Mammon has a handgun as his main weapon and uses it to protect from looters
This scene is why I headcanon that Solomon and Michael are familiar with each other and have worked with each other. If Michael had his eyes on Solomon long before the Great Celestial War, then I find it hard to believe he didn’t reach out at all over all these centuries.
Solomon and Michael being occasional work acquaintances will become important to this AU later.
Imagine both sides of the war initially overlooked the destruction of their worlds because “well, we’ll take over the opponent’s land soon enough and use that while our homeland heals” and by the time they realized the enemy’s homeland was also too destroyed to even be worth taking over anymore it was too late
Imagine Michael knowing the war is about to break out before it actually happens and he keeps saying really weird things like “I don’t trust Father anymore” and “the Celestial Realm is going to burn” and Luke is just like “HUH??? EXCUSE ME???” but Michael won’t elaborate
And then a few weeks later, Michael suddenly isn’t talking to anyone anymore

I don't understand the concept of hating "like spamming" or "reblog spamming". As someone with ADHD and hyperfocus, if you go onto my blog and get lost in the sauce enough to practically reblog the last 5 days worth of stuff I reblogged then good on you my dude my friend my bean, please keep it up I'm glad you like it have a cookie fam, you deserve it cause we have the same taste and I feel like my blog is a public library of stuff I find entertaining so enjoy the browse.
Out of all the major angel characters, Luke is the least scathed. His protective magic shielded him from the worst of the Celestial Realm’s power, leaving him with only skin-deep injuries. He has mild scarring on his face, arms and legs from sunburn, but his eyes were spared any real damage, leaving him one of the only angels left with fully functional vision.
As such, Luke views it as his responsibility to help his fellow angels who have lost their sight. He overexerts himself trying to be the eyes of others, attempting to make up for his guilt- maybe if he’d thought to put one of his protective blessings on his friends, they would have been spared.
Though Luke wants to do everything he can to help the angels around him, Simeon sees Luke’s sight as a danger. If Father were to find out Luke could still see, Luke would be sent into war. It wouldn’t matter that he was only a child; Father had no qualms about throwing a ten-year-old into the bloodbath of war. As such, while they were still in the Celestial Realm, Simeon made Luke hide the fact that he could still see by making him wear a blindfold in public at all times- much to Luke’s indignance. The two frequently got into arguments over this.
However, Simeon later lightened up on this rule, after he was drafted to go fight the war in the Human World. By this point, the Celestial Realm had become so horrifically marred by its own power that even Luke was beginning to suffer the effects, and Simeon ultimately decided that Luke would be safer in the Human World than in the Celestial Realm. As such, he smuggled Luke into the Human World when he was sent down to battle. After this, Luke resides in the military camp with Simeon, where he helps the soldiers with tasks that require his vision. Due to not being an official soldier, Luke is not burdened with the dirty work that the other angels are. He does not go into battle or carry out war-related missions. This is, once again, by Simeon’s order. Whereas the two used to argue over the blindfold, now they argue over whether Luke can charge into battle with his comrades.
Most all the angels in the military camp are aware of Luke’s sight by now, but it’s extremely taboo. Everyone knows, but no one dares speak of it. They accept his help and say nothing of it. None of them want to say anything that would incriminate themselves if Father found out about the secret that was kept from him. And, quite frankly, all of them were too uncomfortable with breaking the rules in such a way to even want to acknowledge it.
If this were pre-war, most of these angels would have definitely ratted Luke and Simeon out to Father, but by now most of the angels are at a similar point to Simeon. They’re beginning to lose their faith in Father after seeing the destruction of their homeland, and some have even stopped caring overall, knowing deep down that none of them would survive no matter how well they followed the rules. Even Raphael is at a point where he’s beginning to doubt Father, so at Michael’s request he let the situation with Luke slide and turned his cheek. Luke’s help was also very useful to them because he could see, so they didn’t want to lose that resource. Overall, everyone had reasons to be quiet, and Luke’s position became one of many uncomfortable, unspoken truths across the camp.
As the exchange program does not exist in this AU, Luke has never met demons asides from some hostile encounters here and there.
Luke has not spoken with Michael in quite a while, as Michael has isolated himself for reasons that will be delved into in his character file. I’ll leave it up to speculation whether Luke knows why, and how he feels about it.

Pressing "Keep Reading," may result in showing triggering wordplay, mature audiences are most recommended for the following entertainment.
"Move these bitches out of the area at once, men!" The sounds of thousands and thousands of innocent humans, cries, screams, and the occasional ghastly sound of a final cry before one has seen it's last day filled the abandoned factory. Beelzebub couldn't believe his eyes—
Hundreds of children being dragged by the hair into these remote areas to help the Demon King's troops win this war... and all for what reason? Why did this disaster fall upon them? Is father responsible for this? Why is he putting his own children into the battlefield, when they all are scarred and severed and at a critical point that they could collapse without even having been touched by their enemies.
Belphegor stood beside his twin, showing a look of no concern as one of the pregnant women came up to him, being shoved down and now at his feet. The orange haired demon tried to hide his tears, honest he did—but when his grievance became audible, the officer who walked her here turned to look at him alongside Belphegor. He knew his twin felt the same way he did, even if he truly hated humans to the core...
This was too much.
"Lord Beelzebub, what shall I do with this insolent bitch? She refuses to leave her child and work in the mine shafts like the rest of her fellow brethren." He turned his head to look behind the human to see you, a little dark skinned child with a nasty purple eye that was swollen. He took into note how dumbfounded you were, when the officer signaled for you to look up at the demon.
Somewhere, as he looked into your eyes, he saw something he never saw in any of the other children who were forced in here. A confused layer was evident, when looked at whole, but if you delved deeper—it was the personification of neutrality and tranquility.
Even as you heard the mimicry of the other children pleading with the soulless demons that continued to beat their mothers, in response to their incompetence or sluggish movements, you remained like stone and unmoved... quite concerning actually. As the dear person who brought you into this world was bent over, her dress ripped to pieces and the slashes on her back exposed to the cold atmosphere began to react negatively with this mix...
You never even flinched, especially as you were soon kicked to Beelzebub's feet.
"...I want the child." You looked back up at the orange tressed demon as his gloved index finger reached to point you out.
"The human woman though, Lord Beel—" For a moment, the inferior incarnate turned to look at you, but was brought back to look at his superior when he heard a barely noticeable crunch come from the two demons before him.
"What human woman?" His eyes glinted at the demon as it soon looked back to where your mother once was, but a pile of pink meat and bones replaced her. A devilish smile appeared on his face as he turned around to the hallway behind you all. Belphegor tutted his head at you, relaxing his face a bit to then smile at you and then join Beelzebub.
For a moment you watched as the two men walked down the hall until you were called.
Once you three made it to the end of the never ending turns and stops, a glass window shaped out of a heptagon was before you three.
"Isn't it magnificent?" Beelzebub commented, as he looked out and into the vast sea of bright circles that shone at you three. Atfirst you didn't know what he was talking about, as your eyes were focused on the large line of people being walked into the facility your all in now. Belphegor looked at you, soon following your line of sight to then grab the edge of your chin and pull you up to the sky.
"..."
At your lack of no response, Beelzebub went on.
"Those stars... their all clustered together as a group. No one is pushing. No one is screaming. No one is starving..." A grumble was set off, and soon he cupped his stomach as he groaned at the mentioning of food he incorporated.
"They're all just in a content, bright and happy state." Belphegor ended his other kin's line, turning to look and smile up at him.
One of the stars then began to radiate a red undertone, primarily focused onto you, and the two demons turned to look at you.
"But... it's sad we're not like that." Sweat began to build up on your forehead as you realized the jig was up. Beelzebub knelt down, soon shifting into his demon form to then lick his lips as he stared at you once more.
"Happy birthday...Princes of Glutton and Sloth..."
A sacrifice you were, to the two demons as they went onto indulging in their gift.
In the end... he was just a demon, and you a human.
Or so you would guess.
I wonder if the Cold Snap from the previous event is like a weaker version of what’s going on in the Devildom in this AU
<-------(Lore II)-------«
The Celestial Realm, though always bright, has gradually grown to be unbearable due to the immense influx of power. Sunburns turned to heat blisters, which then turned to burn scars.
Most angels have developed severe damage to their eyes.
Many of them, their eyes are completely destroyed. Not only are their eyeballs themselves seared until they were mere crimson spheres, but the area around their eyes is red and raised in scar tissue. These angels have no sense of sight anymore. Though these are by far the most disturbing-looking, in one way these angels are lucky: due to all the nerves being burned, they are not in pain. Simeon is in this category.
Others suffered moderate burns. They have burns on certain areas of their eye, or the burns on their whole eye are minor enough that they have retained at least some sense of vision. Many of these angels suffer severe pain from their injuries, severe enough to make many to beg Father to have their eyes removed. Father refused, as an agonized soldier is more useful than a blind one. Many of these angels took matters into their own hands, preferring the temporary agony of removing their eyes themselves to the constant pain of keeping them. Raphael is in this category, but elected to keep his eyes.
And some, the luckiest of the bunch, had minor burns. Their vision tends to be quite blurry, but they can still make out fuzzy shapes, colors, and movement. This includes Luke, whose strong protective magic kept his vision miraculously in tact. However, Luke hides his vision at Simeon’s demand to avoid recruitment into the war.
Because of this, most angels wear blindfolds. Many angels' eyes are too far-gone for the blindfold to be hindering them in any real way, and they don't want others seeing their scarred eyes and discovering their weakness. They'd rather the demons think they're fighting with their eyes closed in an arrogant statement of “I can defeat you even with my eyes closed” rather than discover the dire truth.
Most angels also have most of the feathers of their wings scorched off, making it nearly impossible to fly.

I have a question. How has Beel been doing? probably horrible, I'd imagine. but.. the food problem. how would he be handling it? would he resort cannabalism? or...?
...good question. I never entirely figured that out. I toyed with a few things, but never found something I really liked.
A while ago, someone brought up the idea of Beel taking a bite out of Belphie, and there being a big bite mark on Belphie reminding Beel of what he did. I do like that idea.
I also toyed with the possibility of the brothers sealing Beelzebub in some kind of artifact or pocket-dimension to keep him from eating them. I have mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, it probably makes the most sense because we all know Beel would be incredibly dangerous otherwise, but something just doesn't feel right.
There's also the possibility of Beel turning his hunger on anyone who threatens the brothers. The brothers would face many threats from all parties during the war, and Beel would have no problem munching down a few of them. He may get his sustenance from their enemies on the battlefield.
Honestly, I'd love to hear other opinions on this.
So, as many of you probably already know, there’s a specific song that inspired this AU, and I figured I’d match some of the lyrics up to characters.
“The dark side of light,
I gave you devotion
My blood and my life.”
-Lucifer
“I trusted your stars
they were once my guide
but now they are falling,
along with the sun.”
-Belphegor
~
“Breaker of day, I gave you
My sword, my heart and my faith.
But now the sky is burning
And I scream and wonder
When did your fire become so cold?”
-Raphael
~
“Cold winds
Will come like a storm
Destroying everything,”
-Diavolo
“Everyone we love.”
-Mephistopheles
~
“What’s worth fighting for,
The reason to win,
Our land, our home, the air we breathe!”
-The Coalition
~
“What lives beneath the sun
Is written in the stars!
Why can’t you understand?!”
-Michael & Lucifer
~
“One by one
We’ll fight
Side by side
We’ll fight!
Together!”
-Simeon
