I know I’m like a decade late to this but Sarada still does not look like either her parents. She still looks like a splitting image of Karin with black hair.
It’s just a bad design choice. Sure it’s humbling that the Sasuke Uchiha didn’t just have a daughter, but a daughter who’s a goody two-shoes tomboy nerd. Not tomboyish like Sakura but in a way where if teenage Sasuke met Sarada, he would think she’s lame/uninteresting.
I don’t know why but I always pegged Sasuke as someone who preferred having a son over a daughter. He’s just not a girl dad you know?
Kinda like how Itachi wanted a younger brother than sister. Women and female beings just aren’t important to Sasuke. Sasuke isn’t going to entertain playing dolls or decorating a room with pink and glitter. He’s a tough parent who is just too masculine for girly daughter father things. That’s probably why he’s just not included in her life outside of battle. Another reason why he struggled to connect with her outside of not being in her life.
Naruto is fucking insane bc as someone who's never actually watched the anime, I'll have just THE gayest shit pop up on my dash of Sasuke and Naruto, and when I go "oh hey nice edit, this looks really good" I FIND OUT ITS CANON OFFICIAL MEDIA DIRECTLY FROM THE ANIME??? Insane. How did they get away with that.
I don’t know how many times I have to say this BUT folks I PROMISE YOU WILL ENJOY THE FINAL FANTASY 7 EXPERIENCE MORE WHEN YOU ACCEPT THE EXISTENCE OF THE VERY OBVIOUS LOVE TRIANGLE.
This is more so directed towards newer fans but girlies, the love triangle in that game is literally the video game equivalent of the rei vs asuka debate in anime.
Life is so much easier when you play or experience the game for what it is. I get that many of you identify with the characters, but god are there more important things to focus on 😭
Anyways, best of luck with the Rufus fight!
I finished all of Naruto + Shippuden in two weeks. Yes I’m crazy and I binged all of the canon episodes.
Anyway - I took notes on my thoughts before, during and after every single arc.
In terms of Sasunaru, I had some inklings about the pairing during Shippuden, none pre-time skip but what really made me fully believe at one point Naruto was maybe in love with Sasuke, was early Kage Summit arc.
I just didn’t think Naruto would handle Sasuke’s absence so poorly when I started Shippuden. I completely misjudged his character. I didn’t think he would be so clingy. It was like baby’s first breakup with him. It was genuinely like watching someone experience a breakup, get depressed but instead of getting over it in half a year, it was 500 episodes or 10 years of anime. He literally was not the same character anymore. Yes he got older but he was just such a downer compared to pre-time skip because he was depressed about his man.
I fully believed he was in love with him until the whole reincarnation brother stuff.
So many ups and downs with Naruto but I love him. I can’t believe I’m saying this in the year 2024, almost 2025 but Naruto is one of my favourite anime characters ever. Maybe I just don’t watch enough shounen but I’ve really come to like Naruto. He’s so endearing and him recovering over his breakup was one of the most cathartic things ever. Literally more cathartic than 99% of the anime fights. My biggest takeaway from watching the show and how I remember it, was Naruto’s coming of age story from his career to his interpersonal deeply complex relationships he has with people, especially Sasuke Uchiha. Take that as you wish.
If Jill didn’t initiate the hand-handing and touching, would it have been like the barn scene 2.0?
Did Clive really expect him and Jill to take their clothes off to dry, vent about his struggles and then get dressed and go to sleep?
He seemed really surprised when they did become more intimate
Thanks!!!
Firstly so sorry for the graphic image. I found this on the Danganronpa reddit. Also MAJOR DANGANRONPA V3 SPOILERS.
I feel like this very crudely drawn image of Kokichi’s dead crushed up corpse is the last piece I needed to fully accept his death.
Not being able to see the state of the body during the investigation, created a barrier for me to fully understand Kokichi’s exit out of the main story. It just felt like he “left” rather than died.
Additionally, none of the characters saw the dead of the body and that definitely had an impact on their attitude towards him. His death was brushed off because they also never got to see his dead body. Maki didn’t investigate the body and such. There was no opportunity to be traumatized but ample to refuel their hatred towards him.
This is why his absence during the class trial wasn’t discussed to its extent such as with other characters. Imagine seeing the body and then going to the trial where the exisal was talking in his voice. It would be weird. I know for some people, not seeing the body meant that maybe both Kaito and Kokichi were alive and that they used another body to substitute a killing. After Monokuma revealed that it wasn’t possible to do so, I don’t remember anyone who acknowledged the body afterwards due to how the trial was going.
I’m no Kokichi Stan but I did warm up to his character pre-chapter 4. I always felt that his death and trial were lackluster and lacked needed impact. Personally, I thought the trial wasn’t very good but seeing a depiction of the body has changed my opinion on the trial.
Kaito also never saw Kokichi afterwards because he never lifted the press after it crushed him. Kaito doesn’t really have to carry the weight of the plan and his actions, because he never gets to see the honest result of them. Therefore, he was able to focus on the plan to foul Monokuma and strict to the script that a dead boy wrote.
Danganronpa V3 had many victims where the remaining cast had a short mourning period for (Rantaro, Ryoma and Miu). Each student had different circumstances where the cast couldn’t comment too much on their dead peer. Rantaro distanced himself from others, and no one was particular close to Ryoma or Miu.
However, Kokichi was one where almost no one mourned his death.
It’s interesting for sure. I think more people mourned the losses of the culprits more than the victims.
FF8 should have been a horror game
- The CGI graphics remind me too much of a mix of Silent Hill 2 and Parasite Eve - Squall with blood on his face was so striking as the colour red does not appear often in the game - the frame of Squall’s lack of face gave me nightmares when my game lagged during the ending cutscene
- Rinoa’s unique appearance from clothing (love her DIY duster, bodysuit romper thing with the mini skirt) to her face (strong long and thick eyebrows, downturned eyes that look small when she squirts, and her pale face with no colour) makes her look quite...evil? when she smiles, she looks innocent at first but with her strong eyebrows and pale face, something about her reminds me of ghosts and spirits in Asian folklore (also Silent Hill for some reason)
- It might just be how blocky yet smooth the CGI looks in cutscenes but the character designs are unique because it doesn’t look that anime?
- Squall OG design has a really thick neck and angler face which made him look more realistic with the addition of not-anime sized eyes
- I think the lack of warmth on the character models make their faces look so dead which works if it was a horror game
- THE ENDING CUTSCENE! WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HOW SCARY THAT SHIT WAS? The two things I knew about the game was the frame of No-Face Squall from a watchmojo thumbnail and the ending cutscene (I had no context to the game at that point)
FF8 and Yugioh GX have the same weird setting design
- It’s a weird mix of futuristic (ish) mechanic vibes with socresses and aliens
- Like in GX, its surprising light hearted up until a point where it gets unnecessary edgy with monsters and magic
- It’s actually really hard to describe it but it’s not like FF7′s dieselpunk setting or YuGiOh DM’s mix of Japanese punk rock with Ancient Egyptian settings
losing my mind over this every time i open the map
Yes pretty much. I get it’s a reactionary response but as I mentioned, let’s try to avoid thinking black or white on a fictional character that has lots of screen time and made various decisions throughout the show/story. I agree with you that her heart was in the right place despite it completely backfiring on her. As the episode showed later on, she def needed a second opinion on more than just that (you know the who I’m gonna kill Sasuke by myself thing?).
Side note!
Sai positioned himself as a third party with a more grounded/earnest opinion on the situation but he admitted that he shouldn’t had told Sakura his opinion on their relationship because it caused Sakura to make ultimately an oopsie decision that upset Naruto. It’s messy but hey, there is a reason why Shippuden was 500 episodes lol
The issue I have with Sakura stans as another Sakura fan is that some have a tendency to think black or white. I’m unsure if it’s because of how much hate a character who really didn’t deserve it got during the Naruto heyday.
Regardless, if you have an opinion that isn’t 💯 positive all around, a subsection of fans will attack you. Like you can literally say nothing negative about the character and people will act like you do.
Maybe it’s a ESL thing. I find that if I’m having a discussion with someone and it’s clear to me that we are talking about two different things, the miscommunication is from a language barrier, people can’t read well or it’s anger issues that makes people skip words.
For example, I had a discussion about Sakura and Naruto’s dynamic with Sasuke. I said that Sakura is the more reasonable one as Naruto’s constant defending for Sasuke even though he’s technically wrong is absurd. But that’s just Naruto. He sees the good in everyone, even people who genuinely don’t deserve it at times.
Somehow someone took that and responded with I’m calling Sakura a whore, bitch and dumb and that I’m sexist. If Sakura did it she’s that but when Naruto does it it’s endearing LMAO.
Me dunking on Naruto and saying Sakura is more reasonable is apparently swapped in that person’s mind.
Honestly there is a reason why people don’t like Sakura fans because some of them took the hate that her character got and took it in the wrong direction.
I just saw portions of the Aerith gold saucer date.
All I have to say is that it made me tear up, and I kinda wanna cry the more I think about it.
It’s hard to describe in words how I felt when I saw the date and the context behind everything in that date, but it was very intimate and I like the direction that it went.
Tifa’s date is so spectacular and out there but Aerith’s is so quiet. Tifa’s is like the climax of a Hollywood movie and Aerith’s I swear reminds me of those indie movies like 100 days of Summer or Lost in Translation but way more intimate. They both work in their own unique ways.
Both of them are very intimate in their own unique ways but something about Aerith’s date makes me wanna cry. It’s all about, what it could have been. They mean so much to each other but Aerith won’t say anything. She will accept the path in which she plays into Cloud’s future. If you know, you know.
That’s all I’m going to say. Don’t come for me, I like both main ships - I like both of them for different reasons.
art for a project im working on that i never ended up using
