Notice he only mastered the avatar state after he realized the others werent serious like he was cause in the end it was his life. And none of them would of fought the firelord for him. Even if they did they wouldnt of lasted five minutes. Zuko and katara could barely handle Azula. And then they only beat her because she had a whole breakdown. Only momo was with him until the end. This is why I hate fanservice it gives shippers to much to go off of.
