i found an old blog months ago that used to specialize in eggso recolorings. I did it for fun for awhile. But its sad nobody does them anymore. So i was thinking on how, 90 percent of black female exo stans going from normal kai fans to hardcore fujoshi's to distance themselves from the kmusic nd black women movement is kinda sad, like just b ur self people will think what they want to think regardless its sad the lack of creativity these spaces had because so many fell into group think and feared being x'od out(no pun intended) from a fandom. it'll never be that serious. I'd like an actual study done on why most people get into hard-core shipping particularly females and particularly neurodivergent ethnic women, is it simply cause of naturally being in love with a couple(which is just voyeurism and still implies projecting yourself on one part of the relationship 4 real just look it up some twilight article from 2007 written by a white dude might pop up tho) or is it to distance oneself from the prison of the body avoid the harsh realities of gender inequality. Boys don't have to deal with periods, hormonal imbalances and physical vulnerability or at least as not as much as women typically do (if anyone disagrees pls go read any book on femicide in 1st or 3rd world countries its eye opening). But going back to what i was saying it kinda shocked me when i realized unlike other races there was more of an imbalance in the hetero-crushing fangirl and the vocal Fujoshi side of the fandom when it came to black women. Surely racism and simply wanting to be liked and possibly even avoid racist backlash by being apart of something that basically excludes all discussion of an idols toxic, s*xist, hetero er*tic behavior or really any conversation that a ethnic person w a brain would eventually call out. Wearing the fujoshi badge of honor would come with a certain code of conduct not mentioning too much outside of what would make the average shipper uncomfortable. Even if a shipper were to post a social climate topic talking of or reposting a thinkpiece this is basic liberal internet code of conduct being a shipper primarily a yaoi one of course that is acceptable. But anything digging to deeply in the behavior of pathology of a person or even(gasp) possible odd problematic things concerning the very ship you all congregate over that would be to much and you should be swiftly blocked lest anyone end up thinking to hard. I think many people have thought quite long and hard about it seeing the trend of intense idol worship, shippings, then completely deactivating of accounts leaving many pockets of the internet old kpop ghostowns. Because still to this day I wonder if for no other reason than just nobody talks about it, how interesting some of the most beloved exo ships including jongin like kaisoo could have long histories of simple unhealthy or toxic behavior towards one another and it either be swept under the rug, mass deleted( super common), or my fav have a black nd white filter put over it or have it slowed down.

For that reason i believe exo ships must be the korean kpop yaoi equivalent of justinxselena/ justinxhailey because of the pure blockheadedness of the shippers only caring about crafting the narrative. In exols so wrapped up in identifying with a homoerotic ship that common sense and decency leave the window. I won't touch on the dehumanization, overs*xualization ( thats a whole literal book i could write because they were kids who got groomed to be appealing to women and men alike and have unrealistic anime like bonds with their group members, and fellow trainee's) regardless on if you think they are together or not hell literally who knows but ignoring the system itself is messes up and not wanting to kill the l*st you have for your ship long enough to see it..its too much. These companies are not right they are truly a flashy version of slavery no part of it is cute including the ships companies sit down and pair up. Again there are still shippers of couples that are dead and divorced, many couples are secret no on can say for sure what is and isn't true but what is true above is that children desperate to make themselves and their families proud are taught to be s*x symbols before they are done with puberty. The same puberty as many of their fans were going through as they first laid eyes on them. I'll never forget in the one direction documentary they brought in a neurologist to describe how the fan's brains as mostly preteen or teenage girls were extremely affected almost to the point of hysteria. I just can never back down on the boy/girl bands craze being distinctly built for young girls. It is. It is real life barbie and ken. The way they view the teen girl market is predatory, evil and ends in destruction of young minds.

But people always mis speak, what you mean is that idol is your virtual emotional support dog.

Because what else could you call feeling entitled to wanting to control someone's viewpoint, disliking how masculine or feminine someone is on a particularly day ( the domkai subkai or alpha omega debate with him sends me each side completely ignoring all humans have a balance of maculine and feminine energies. Anyway whatever i can tier rank ships another day. All the ones I have seen that may have actually had something going on.... nobody cares, which means it's mostly just group think. As a gay man, I have to say I’m very offended with the infantilization of queer people and queer stories in the IWTV fandom, bc it looks like we only matter to you when it’s cute, sexy and funny and that it’s bullshit, Interview with the Vampire iT’S A HORROR SHOW with bad people doing bad things, and that it’s GREAT, we need more shows like this, that treats us with the same complexity as any other show with straight characters. WE CAN BE COMPLEX, MESSY AND VIOLENT just like any other person.

People, especially cis het white women, need to STOP fetichizing queer men, WE ARE NOT YOUR BABYGIRL. we are complex people. Ep. 5 was great, it was hard to watch? yes, but that it’s great television, give them an Emmy, you honor, THE ACTING, THE WRITING was amazing. I miss super m because all there personalities clashed in the best way, there was tension, drama, suspense, they all triggered eachother constantly it was beautiful. 

I literally don’t even care that everyone hated it. It reminded me of one d because at least in america and the west they were allowed to clash and not think of how fans would take what they said. They could be a bit more rough around the edges and bicker. Honestly I didn’t wasn’t even aware of them for like the first year I was kinda late but I was able to watch there first year content without the feeling of second hand embarrassment cause it was all over. But I was surprised it wasn’t that bad and I wish they would of done more promo in america but the timing was off. 

From what I can tell at least Kai got to finally dance at full capacity and actually had people to compete against. I want to make a large post because I think a lotta people actually didn’t pay attention to how much interesting stuff occured in super m. Unlike with exo and nct the members didn’t have to worry about longterm fans. All super m fans were basically solo fans and they weren’t necessarily there for shipping or who they think the members were but moreso because they wanted something new. Their favorite artists able to stretch their wings and be less of a team and more individuals who happened to be in a group.

It reminded me more of how old jpop groups were, more boyish and brash and rough around the edges. A bigger focus on platonic male bonding rather than hardcore serious storyline shipping. It was so beautiful. 

But I have so many thoughts on super m. I feel like if I keep talking about them enough the universe will finally give me that netflix docu about them I’ve been waiting for. I think they have potential, at least for a few albums and then a good world tour. Honestly I’d like if some of the members retired with super m rather than their own groups which tbh couldn’t handle any big comebacks or worldtours. 

I already know the new sm boygroup is just to introduce probably one or two artists who will eventually be put into the new version of super m to replace lucas and probably baekyun because I doubt they’ll let him be leader after he sued. 

I may check out the new nct docu but idk like disney plus wtf, sounds right up sm’s alley but I didn’t think 3.0 sm was going kid friendly but it is more marketable and they’ve been courting disney for years.

Okay so just small personality things. After doing research I realized shockingly that I didn’t know a lot of things about Justin even though his life is kind of an open book.

Firstly I couldn’t find the photo but I swear there was a childhood photo of Justin with his hair just like Kai’s but I can’t find it his hair was blonde with black highlights

A lot of times when I saw photos of him with children he wasn’t related to the kids at all nor did he know the parents though this was a family friend’s child I think. 

He’s done like a lot of make a wish’s and charity things related to children. It’s easy to say it’s a front but I honestly don’t think it is. The amount of times he’s stopped on the street or in a restaurant and introduced himself and interacted with kids who don’t even know who he is that’s a lot of effort for just an act.

Jongin’s philosophical adoration for children is also well known so much so as it’s basically apart of his brand at this point.

the main diffference would be because of how celeb culture is. Celebs being stopped and people going up to them isn’t really a thing so how an idol acts off of professsional studio camera’s is really anybody’s guess. So I’m not really sure the history of Kai’s interactions with kids but...that’s another thread point is they both really like kids.

 With what the lyrics of the song was about, the choice of hats didn’t really make sense. Though I don’t think the whole thing was strictly about being like Usher or an rnb type performer, just the aestetic came off that way.

Now I will say the only minute difference is that Justin had his hairstyle as just that a hairstyle. He simply wanted to, as a person making his own decisions, get a traditionally black hairstyle even going to a black person to get it done. Jongin is a kpop idol and it isn’t known who or what made him get these hairstyles....

orrr at least that’s the common belief the truth is...a bit different. From multiple hours of deep research I was able to determine from a large collection of internet receipts that exist in the abyss of websites that are so old my mom probably knows what they are..Jongin actually braided his own hair..pretty much everytime you see a photo of him with them... at least a large majority of the time. This does make sense. Because the quality of his braids are different in different photographs(hairstylists would be more consistent). Sometimes they are very neat other times a little sloppy. 

I assume he took them out because I found old tweets saying ‘thank God he took them out’ but weeks later in a performance he would have them in. I must admit that’s like a lot, having to braid his own hair and then perform, that’s no joke. So to dismiss him just being a typical wave rider/cultural appropriater just trying to look cool, baby who has that type of patience not many people.

So 2017-2018 was definitely a religious awakening sort of point in Justin’s life.

So December 28th 2018, I wasn’t privy to any of this info cause I took a 2-3 year break from kpop cause I wanted decent grades and a social life and Kpop got in the way of that so I just forgot it existed. Like I get it but I dunno like I’m a dance/performance head so like that’s normal for dancers like the more theatrical the better. The dance community is literally always gassing one another up male or female like yas be sassier, more hips, pose, slay. It’s normal I just don’t get people oversexualizing him for that, it’s supposed to be fun. But I digress. Anyway I noticed that in one of his performances for tempo he was wearing a cross, I wasn’t sure if this was simply for fashion purposes so I just figured it was and ignored it.

I really agree with 90 percent of this. But also i dug into korean history, culture and fan lore. Basically the reason why ppl dont think they should date is idols are like the host club employees of the entertainment world. People know that is the job whenever they sign up. It isnt anything to do with artistry. Korean people know this but westerners do not. Also they already knew he had a partner and that majority of idols have partners or spouses but when you get married its expected your job should no longer be a host basically. Its a job for younger people. So honestly I think koreans are unfairly judged cause people don't even know what it is they are upset about. If they were regular artists like khip hop and krnb artists they could of gotten married years ago and nobody would ever say anything. Apparently they flirt with korean fans at private fansigns and secret events and basically act like a host and say romantic stuff. Khiphop and rnb artists date publicly so even if they flirt its clearly empty promises. Kdolls do not do this marketing style with foreign fans. We get completely different marketing. More we are friends or buddies style marketing. So that is why theres outrage with korean fans but not western. It is dumb but it does make more sense to me now. Especially because they tend to encourage kfans to spend loads or money on them like actual hosts do as well as buy music. Plus with the kfans protesting it was because they waited until after they were done touring to say info that was known months ago. If they dont care about the kfans who were protesting why not tell them before the concert. Because they wanted their money. Thats what they were mad about it was slimely. Imagine if justin pretended he was single in 2010 and after he sold out madison square garden he posted selena. Like bro if you wanna date just date but be real about it. Exo lost so much respecr from how they ignore members who left, to dating but always waiting until after promotion to be public to just not really performing well even though fans spent so much money to go to multiple concerts so everything could always sell out. Honestly I think their was so much attention on him having so many teasers no one actually considered that there was an actual purpose behind them or the exo mythos. Particularly when they began reenacting twilight and it was seen as cringe, I think the mythos became a running gag rather than something people actually paid attention to. Also there's so many cross references with other pop cultural works in kji's albums and things they were trying to recreate it got all muddled up so now people don't tie things together.

Like after peaches era they took a break and let him perform and tour. They still were continuing the mythos. There was tons of little easter eggs. I don't think I was psychic when I kept predicting what his next album was going to be it's just common sense. They always made sure his projects lined up with one another. They just also cover it up with so much drama and mess most people forget about it cause it "doesn't matter" the gossip matters even though it disappears after like few months.

In the show Naoko was innocent and easily tricked by Jiwon and was deceived by his charming and innocent appearance, frequently helping him out and loaning him money in hopes of him creating a life with her. She did all of it in hopes that he would marry her, but emotionally he was traumatized by his mother trying to murder him.

The show is a metaphor for death and birth shown by the visualizations of marriage and intimacy. Spring representing rebirth and creation.

Jiwon acted as the director of the family and was able to "fix them" and make them perfect just like he does his subject in the first episode.

Due to his interference the family goes from disgruntled to happy. Although his motives remain unknown.

he played an angel in miracle that we met that accidentally takes the wrong life and must try to fix the situation. It's a mix of guardian angel/ greek gods messing with the affairs of humans. He tries to reunite the original husband and wife but can't. Throughout the show he tries to make it up to her and they develop and emotional bond.

It reminds me of the concept of the film the preacher's wife where dudly is supposed to be helping the married couple but ends up falling for the wife himself. To be fair he only began getting entangled with the wife after the husband abandoned her but still

I do find it interesting that most gifs are of him and the female character that he dances with at the end of the show, but that "female character" is actually his male shapeshifting boss Mao and there was no romance there. I believe they are actually spiritual brothers.

The only "romance" or emotional subplot he had on the show is with the wife character

But I think cause of the age gap it went over people's head, even though his character is most likely older than her but whatever.

I think people don't understand subtlety in romance drama's like he picked out her clothes it's kinda obvious.

This angel who doesn't follow instructions character also coincidentally would align with his rover symbolism where he "played" a fallen angel.

It's especially interesting because Mao was known as the one with 10,000 faces or identities
