Oh! Apparently Transandrophobes Are Now Being Very Mask Off With The Fact That They Are The Same Community

Oh! Apparently transandrophobes are now being very mask off with the fact that they are the same community as truscum/transmeds, 2019 exclus, and every other "grrr other queer people" group!

Trans men do not have it easier than trans women.

Trans women do not have it easier than trans men.

Right now, trans women are dealing with hypervisibility. This means these women are the target of a shitton of gross caricatures and blatant transmisogyny in the news and in media. This means lawmakers will name trans women directly as they ban feminine transition and try to wipe them from existence. This means you can’t go a day without hearing about the horrible things happening to trans women all over the world.

Right now, trans men are dealing with invisibility. This means these men are the target of hate crimes that are never reported, or are reported as violence against women. This means lawmakers can sneakily ban masculine transition under the guise of “preserving female fertility” and “preventing young girls from mutilating themselves”. This means their stories don’t get as much attention, even when trans men get murdered in broad daylight.

No, this doesn’t mean violence against trans women never goes unreported, or that anti-transmasc caricatures don’t exist.

One group does not have it easier than the other- instead, they face transphobia that is enacted and enforced by society in different ways. Claiming that one is "better" than the other makes you a transphobe and contributes to the problem.

For the love of fuck please just TALK and LISTEN to people outside of your own community.

(I am aware this is an extremely binary take on this- I’m nonbinary myself, but I haven’t seen as many people arguing that nonbinary people have it easier. I’m sure there are plenty, if I haven’t already blocked their sorry asses.)

They did this during ace discourse as well. There was always a mythical "aromantic heterosexual cis white frat boy" who was out to invade LGBT+ spaces. They can't find any real world examples of someone who's exempt from oppression, so they invent a strawman to suit their arguments.

Same tactics, same bullshit, same bloggers, new target. They've truly learned nothing.

When I say that transmasculine people, including, obviously, binary trans men, don't hold power over women, there's always ONE fucker who's like "oh yeah ? But what if it's a whit, able-bodied perisex transhet man who's papers are all changed, who cispasses and is totally stealth AND is a manager ??? What then ???"

And I'm like, you CAN'T be in good faith rn. I'm not saying this particular case doesn't exist but be for real, it must be one in a fucking million. And even in this case, the dude is one outing away from having all his privileges taken away from him, which isn't the case for cis white men.

Stop nitpicking. Transmasculine people don't hold power other women. Period. If you want a punching bag, aim at the people who are truly after your ass.

I can't take the whole discourse around people going "forcefem is better than forcemasc because it's subversive! People who like forced masculinization are just STEALING from forcefem!" seriously because of these 4 points:

1. Forcefem started with cis men who enjoy being feminized as a form of humiliation, and they make up the majority of practitioners today. Yes, it's also really important to the transfem kink community and it brings many people gender euphoria, so that's great! But... you really can't steal a kink. There's no kink plagiarism. You're not getting kicked out of Kink University for enjoying similar themes.

2. It's not your business what other trans adults do in the bedroom/kink spaces. What causes dysphoria for you might make someone else euphoric. Don't yuck my yum or whatever. Just block the tag if you don't like it, we're all grownups here. I have both tags blocked bc they make me dysphoric, but you don't see me throwing a tantrum about it.

3. Imagine doing this with any other kink.

"Spanking is better than waxplay because it's subversive! You candle-lovers are doing painplay all wrong!"

"Bondage with handcuffs is way better than bondage with ropes, because when you use handcuffs you're RECLAIMING that from cops! Rope bunnies are just coping because their kink doesn't mean anything!"

4. The people who spend all their time arguing online about kink discourse probably aren't getting laid anyway.

So it's really not as pertinent to their lives as they think it is.

"can Men Be Lesbians?" Bestie In 100 Countries Women Can't Be Lesbians Is This Really The Most Pressing

i'm going to keep banging this drum forever, stop treating groups of marginalised people as "sides" in discourse. stop saying you distrust trans women because of the evil hysterical transradfems. stop saying you distrust non-binary people because of the evil privileged theyfabs. stop saying you distrust trans men because of the evil MRA transandrobros. stop saying you distrust intersex people because of the evil transphobic cis invaders.

stop hearing people complain about bigotry with no comment on who the person perpetuating it was and imagining a marginalised person in your mind. stop justifying bigotry against others because it's against the "side" of discourse that you personally dislike. stop assuming everything a certain marginalised group talks about has to do with whatever petty discourse you're involved in. stop tolerating blatant bigots because you see them as "on your side".

if it's getting to a point where online discourse is so important to you that it influences how you view marginalised people who have done nothing to you, then maybe it's time to log off for a while and start hiking or knitting or something, mostly because it just can't be very good for your health to constantly prime yourself to be anxious or angry around everyone you meet.

Hey we all know pronouns aren't a privilege, right?

It doesn't matter how "annoying" a trans person is, it doesn't matter if they disagree with you on some intracommunity issue-

Use the pronouns they have in their bio, or the pronouns they ask you to use. Even if you really don't like them, or you think they're problematic.

Your comfort with somebody's pronouns isn't a factor. Using ANY other pronoun for a user that prefers it/its is misgendering. Same with neopronouns. If you can't manage it, don't talk to it.

Oh and just to be clear-

Claiming that a trans woman's account is actually "run by a man" is misgendering. Saying a trans man's blog is part of some "secret terf circle" is misgendering. Pretending a person is actually your oppressor in disguise so you can misgender them is, get this, misgendering!

I don't care how much you dislike someone, use the right fucking pronouns.

Shoutout to all my fat transmascs, my long haired transmascs, my short transmascs, and all my transmascs who get misgendered from behind and on the phone.

All my transmascs with "feminine" hobbies, "feminine" gestures, "feminine" ways of talking. My transmascs who don't voice train, who still wear clothes from the women's section.

Every transmasc experience is unique and amazing. You're all so wonderful and handsome and bring something that's just you into this world. Don't stop breaking boundaries and rules, reshape them and force the world to conform to you.
