Hello friends and happy 2024! Can you believe we're already a month in? Feels like time has just flown by! Things have been crazy busy in the workshop so I wanted to give you all an update as to what our goals are for the upcoming year.
First up, we're making some new dolls! Our primary goal is to make all of the Sailor Scouts from the anime series Sailor Moon. This series was extra special to me growing up so getting to make amigurumi of these magical girls brings me a lot of joy.

Second, we're hoping to have an actual storefront up, ideally, by May! Why May? That gives me time to get all the photos taken, descriptions written, and prices determined. Plus I can adequately give all the due credit to the lovely folks whose patterns I'm using to create these wonderful amigurumi.
That being said, what's going to be in the store? Glad you asked! My plan is to have two separate categories: Ready to Ship, and Commissionable. Since I am still doing local shows, the items in the Commissionable section would mostly be those items, while the items in Ready to Ship will be the available bigger items since they're a bit harder to sell locally. Of course, as items sell and become unavailable, they will be moved to the Commissionable section until such time that they are ready to ship again.

And there you have it! An update on our goals for the year! It's a lot of work but we're hoping to get it done. Be sure to keep an eye out for future updates as well as new items for sale! I'm going to try to post at least one Sunday a month, maybe two if I'm feeling ambitious (working out a schedule still) as I take new pics of merch and try to grow this little business of mine! Have a great 2024!
Yahaha! He needs to find his friend!
Help! He needs to find his friend!
I finally finished the Woodland Traveler pattern by @i-crochet-things! I learned so much. This is only the second amigurumi I’ve ever finished and the third crochet thing I’ve ever made.
Anyway, his name is Forklift (if you know, you know) and he enjoys piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. He is also OSHA forklift certified.

the writer’s dilemma: - want to write a novel - want to read 10 novels for inspiration - end up doing neither and scrolling through memes about writing instead
Most of the boys have already been claimed, but the originals of these lovely ladies (and Fjord) are still available on my online store! I’ll have prints soon, but the originals have fun sparkly bits >:3
I'm doing some new years shop cleaning! A BUNCH of new items have been added to my clearance section, where everything is on discount and won't be restocked after selling out! Above is just some examples- check out the clearance section on my shop for the full list!

Happy first Sunday of 2025! Since it's been a chilly week, today's WIP showcase features one of my favorite ice skaters: Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice! He's always a pleasure to make since I get to use my glitter yarn for him! Pattern design by @53stitches
And if you haven't seen my recent Kofi update, you should go check that out here!
The curse of modern fandom is that it has allowed fans to get even closer to artists, but they won't view the artists as people.
Human limits, human mistakes, human feelings, human needs, are never ascribed to artists, and when other fans rightfully point out, "hey, humans are making this, maybe don't harass them or demand they cater to your personal tastes," it gets shut down under, "uh, people who make popular mainstream things are automatically Public Figures who are also probably rich, so eat the rich and destroy artists over every perceived minor fault. <3"
Even though there's, y'know, a really big strike currently going on because those artists are very much not rich or influential or in control of the bullshit.
Hello and welcome to Nerdvana Crafts! Where you can find handmade gifts for the nerds in your life! My name is Sly and I am a neurodivergent fiber artist who crochets amigurumi from a variety of fandoms. Each item is made to order, and may take 2-4 weeks to make and ship. Each item is also made in the presence of a cat so if you have allergies, please message me and I will do everything in my power to prevent kitty contamination. All of my creations are intended as fan art, and because I use a variety of patterns, their sizes will vary as well!
