WATCH YOUR MOUTH; jack harlow

WATCH YOUR MOUTH; Jack Harlow

"It's the way you embarrassed me last night and don't even have the balls to apologize." You said aggressively folding your clothes.

"Things happen y/n! I was caught up with work and couldn't make it." He said running his fingers through his curls.

"You say that every time like it's a valid excuse! You couldn't send me a quick text to let me know you wouldn't make it so I wasn't sitting there looking like a fucking idiot?" You said getting more and more pissed off.

"So your mad i'm doing my job? How do you think i'm able to afford all these nice things? Take you out on dates? That money doesn't just come out of my ass." He said trying to find every reason to drop this.

"Bro I fucking work just as hard as you do and I still make time for you!" You yelled getting up to walk out the room.

He grabbed you harshly by your wrist, forcing you to look at him.

"I don't give a fuck how mad you are chill with that dumb shit. I'm not one of your little friends." He said inching closer to your face.

You felt your cheeks heat up at the way he manhandled you.

"I can say whatever the fuck I want to say." You said challenging him.

"You think this is funny? We'll see who abouta be laughing after i'm done wit'chu." He said throwing you on the bed.

“AND SHES A HOMETOWN BABY, COULD YOU PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN MAYBE?”- OUT FRONT, JACK HARLOW

 *:・゚✧*:・゚Hometown Baby *:・゚✧*:・゚

The bass of the music reverberated through the walls of Sia’s house, blending with the hum of conversations and bursts of laughter. The party was in full swing, but Zaria Brown felt out of place. Dressed to perfection in a black satin dress that hugged her curves, she clutched her drink tightly, trying to drown out the creeping weight of her reality.

Her marriage wasn’t just rocky—it was practically falling apart. Her husband,Chris, hadn’t even noticed her leaving tonight. He rarely noticed anything these days.

“Girl, why are you standing here looking like a snack but acting like you’re invisible?” Sia’s voice cut through her thoughts.

Zaria turned to her oldest friend, managing a small smile. “Just…thinking, and plus I’m married.”

Sia rolled her eyes, pulling Zaria’s drink out of her hand and replacing it with a stronger one. “Well, stop. It’s a party. You look too good to waste the night thinking about him.”

Zaria sighed, leaning against the wall. “You don’t get it, Sia. It’s not that easy.”

“Of course, I get it,” Sia said, lowering her voice. “But you deserve more than what he’s giving you. And tonight? Just have fun. Forget him for a couple of hours.”

Before Zaria could respond, her eyes caught a familiar face across the room. Her heart skipped a beat. Jack Harlow.

He looked different now—more polished, more confident. His curls were neater, and his jawline sharper, he had grown a beard, but the mischievous spark in his eyes was still the same. He was leaning against the kitchen counter, casually sipping a drink while laughing with a small group.

“Sia,” Zaria whispered, gripping her friend’s arm. “Is that who I think it is?”

Sia followed her gaze and smirked. “Yup. Jackman Harlow. Bet you didn’t think you’d see him tonight, huh?”

“No, I didn’t,” Zaria admitted, her stomach twisting.

“Girl, he’s been blowing up since you last saw him. Got a whole career now,” Sia said, nudging Zaria. “And I’m pretty sure he’s single.”

“Sia,” Zaria hissed.

“What?” Sia shrugged innocently. “I’m just saying, he looks good. And considering your situation—”

“Sia.”

“Fine, fine. I’ll shut up. But don’t act like you’re not thinking about it,” Sia teased before walking off to mingle with another group.

Zaria hesitated before taking a step forward. She wasn’t sure why she felt compelled to approach him, but something about seeing Jack again after all these years made her chest tighten.

Jack noticed her as she crossed the room. His eyes widened slightly, recognition dawning. “Zaria?”

“Hey, Jack,” she said softly, a small smile playing on her lips.

He grinned, setting his drink down. “Wow. I didn’t think I’d ever see you again.”

“Yeah, it’s been a while,” she replied, folding her arms nervously.

“You look…amazing,” he said, his eyes briefly scanning her before meeting her gaze again.

“Thanks,” she said, feeling a warmth rise to her cheeks. “You don’t look too bad yourself. Seems like life’s treating you well.”

Jack chuckled. “Can’t complain. Music’s been good to me. What about you? How’s life?”

Zaria hesitated, the question hitting harder than she expected. “It’s…complicated,” she admitted.

Jack nodded, his smile fading slightly. “Fair enough.”

There was a brief silence before he gestured toward the patio. “Wanna step outside? It’s kinda loud in here.”

Zaria glanced around, spotting Sia across the room. Her friend gave her a thumbs-up and a not-so-subtle wink. Rolling her eyes, Zaria followed Jack outside.

The cool night air was a welcome change from the stuffy heat of the party. They stood by the railing, the distant sounds of music muffled.

“So,” Jack began, leaning against the railing. “What brings you here? Didn’t peg you as the party type anymore.”

“Sia dragged me out,” Zaria admitted with a small laugh. “She said I needed a break.”

“From what?” Jack asked, tilting his head.

Zaria hesitated again, staring at the stars. “Just…life. Marriage. You know, adult stuff.”

Jack’s expression shifted, concern flickering in his eyes. “Marriage, huh?”

“Yeah,” Zaria said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jack nodded slowly. “You happy?”

The question hung in the air, heavy and unavoidable. Zaria bit her lip, looking away. “It’s complicated, yeah.”

“Complicated,” Jack repeated, a hint of frustration in his tone. “Seems like a word people use when they’re trying to avoid the truth.”

Zaria turned to him, her eyes narrowing. “And what would you know about it, Jack?”

“Not much,” he admitted, holding up his hands. “But I know you. Or at least, I used to. And you don’t look like someone who’s happy.”

Zaria’s breath caught in her throat. She didn’t know how to respond, so she stayed silent, the weight of his words sinking in.

Jack sighed, running a hand through his curls. “Sorry. That was out of line.”

“No,” Zaria said quickly. “You’re not wrong. Things just…aren’t what I thought they’d be.”

Jack studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable. “If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. Always have been.”

Zaria’s lips parted, but no words came out. The vulnerability in his voice took her by surprise, and for a brief moment, she wondered what life might have been like if she’d made different choices.

“Thanks, Jack,” she finally said, her voice barely audible.

He nodded, his gaze lingering on her. “Anytime, Z.”

Opening The Door For Them Or Pulling Their Seat Out Before They Sit Down!

“i wont take long she said, just give me ten minutes she said.” you and jack were running late and he was teasing you for taking so long to get ready.

“shut up jack and besides i rather look good and be late then have to rush and show up late and looking crazy!” you said shoving his arm.

jack already unlocked the car as you guys made your way to his jeep. you tug on the passengers seat door and he slaps your hand. “jack what the hell?” you whined as you rubbing your hand.

“now you know better than to open a door when im around.” he said opening the door and pushing you in.

“you didn’t have slap me though!” you said pouting as you melted into the seat. he laughed and grabbed your hand, giving it a kiss before closing your door and making his way to the passenger’s seat.
