Alright! So now that Moon Knight episode one is out I’d like to talk about it!
So first off! I thought that it was actually incredibly well written and portrayed D.I.D. almost perfectly. It showcased a lot of the issues most of us deal with (the waking up somewhere else, the sleep issues in general, the paranoia, the awkwardness of not knowing whats going on so you cant tell people whats wrong and such, and the just general questioning of reality). It was honestly extremely similar for us when we first started discovering the system and stuff.
So yea! I definitely liked it and am really excited to see where the rest of it goes!
But! I’ve already seen some posts and stuff about Steven and I want you all to remember that Steven is a grown man. While yes he may be confused and not know what’s going on do not treat him like some poor thing that needs to be protected at all costs. He’s just trying to live his life while slowly discovering the other alters in the system!
I would also like to mention please please please don’t refer to the alters as personalities! Personalities is a term originating from when D.I.D. used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder. The name for the disorder was changed because of new research and the fact that we are not personalities!!! Alters are their own people and you should not refer to them as personalities!!!

where frank recognizes that tim needs a break from being ceo/being red robin/being around their father figure thats pushing crazy high expectations on them all
and so forces him to come stay with him, abby and the kids
somehow someway the yj find out where tim is and decides they need to support their friend and so suddenly frank and abby are responsible for four teen superheroes along with their baby and four year old
theres obviously several ed trips that occur thanks to various injuries tim acquires and they all absolutely freak out about tanner getting so much as a papercut while they babysit so he gets rushed to the ed as well
tanner absolutely loves this because he gets to see his dad at work
frank is just getting more and more impressed by the increasingly odd ways tim's getting injured
and everyone else is just kinda there extremely confused
To be systempunk is to be critical of misinformation even in our own community, so I'll post my own two cents: hot take that should be "hot" as lukewarm water, but sysmeds don't exist.
"Sysmeds" are just people with DID/OSDD. In order to develop DID/OSDD you need to have experienced repetitive childhood trauma while on a certain age rage, be predisposed to dissociation as a coping mechanism and on top of all of that to be disconnected (this term can mean emotionally and/or physically) from your primary caregivers. If you haven't met any of the many levels of those criterias and you still claim to be a system, then you are not. This is a traumagenic disorder that has many comorbidities with other disorders, such as C-PTSD.
I do not care one bit if this post will send so called mixed origins "systems" down a spiral, do us a favour and stop with the blatant bastardization of terms related to actual medical misinformation such as transmedicalism. - 🏹🌿
ROBBY AND FRANK'S DYNAMIC ON THE PITT IS SO SIMILAR TO FRANK AND BILLY'S DYNAMIC IN THE PUNISHER TV SERIES

Hey uh singlets maybe don't tag your random moon knight posts with DID-
Marc: Moon looks gorgeous, doesn’t it?
Jake: *looking at Marc* Yeah… but do you know what’s more beautiful?
Marc and Jake in unison: *sighs* Steven

in light of recent news, and in fear of losing one of the only things that brings me joy in my stupid baka life, here's all episodes of puppet history.
pls rb :)
Can't wait for the Moon Knight season finale when, in a surprise twist, Marc and Steven find out that Jake has been running a successful cab business on the side this whole time.
It’s like talking about alters as “whole people” makes DID more palatable for others somehow. If they can view us as just this quirky cast of characters who happen to share a body then it’s less sad, or maybe even less disturbing. They can reframe it into something that might even sound fun or beneficial to them, like “3 friends for the price of 1!”
I’m starting to think that viewing us as one whole traumatized person with many dissociated parts is just too depressing and too “weird” for a lot of people. It’s harder for them to wrap their heads around. They can’t grasp the way we are both disconnected from each other and still a part of each other. They can’t make sense of the way we overlap and blend together. We don’t fit into neat little boxes. We aren’t a straight forward cast of characters.
