Lloyd's hellspwan au ask
Brought to you by my random thoughts
Whats the kids relationship with wu's murder chicken
* spits out coffee *
What's the kid's relationship with Wu's murder chicken—you mean THAT CHICKEN???
I have to say....I really love your random thoughts.
Okay, here's this. Surprisingly, the kid really loves the chicken. Yup, shocker (no pun intended) It's just her dad, her aunt and her uncles that don't. Like, she would be perfectly fine with petting and feeding the chicken and all but once any of the others even dare to try that, it's instantly a free electrocution session. Yeah, even the chicken has its favorites.
My friend recently watched DotD, which led me to discovering this totally not heartbreaking parallel
How did hellspawn react to Lloyd Oni form?
She's just...frozen. There's no way that thing attacking the Overlord is her dad even though she just saw him turn into it, right?
Sure, she's seen him angry before. She's seen him frustrated — she's seen him annoyed on several occasions. But she's never once seen the rage. Not from him. That's never been him.
Yet, it currently is now. And it's... quite a sight.
She ends up seeing it again after crystalized— apparently, one of her grandfather's awkward attempts to mend things with her dad just happens to be helping him further explore and control his Oni side. If Lloyd had his way he'd pull himself as far as possible from that part of himself and never think of it again, but Wu makes him do it with a "Face your fear before it faces you", a.k.a another dose of hated wisdom no one asked for.
In the end, he's standing in the courtyard with the father who made the fucked move of faking his death, and is now letting him help him.
And of course, there just has to be a whole crowd secretly watching even though he'd very much like it if they minded their own businesses but in his experience, nothing ever goes his way.
At some point, Garmadon voices his curious thoughts of whether hellspawn has an Oni form. Lloyd adamantly told him there's no way in hell he's dragging her into this and Garmadon kept quiet...for now.
One night, Lloyd got really violent—apparently Lord G pissed him off so horribly just to get him to turn into an Oni and as a result, he ended up destroying most of the courtyard while attacking Garmadon. His friends tried to step in to get him under control but that didn't work—nothing worked until hellspawn called him fearfully causing him to suddenly stop what he was doing and look at her. Realizing she's genuinely afraid of him, Lloyd turns back.
But as time passed, Lloyd started getting more in control of his Oni form to the point he has no problem whatsoever with walking around the monastery in it. Oni are a LOT more overprotective over their young—which is annoying to hellspawn but his fur and horns are nice.
garmadon's face so silly in first panel why is he just : (
How does Hellspawn handle the idea of her dad dating?
Harumi? Horribly. That woman could drown in Great Devourer bile for all she cared. Akita? She's cool. Great temporary therapist for her dad but Lloyd doubts he'll see her again.
But the idea of her dad dating? It's...weird to be honest. Two of her teachers seem like they have a crush on him and she's really hoping he doesn't ever date them. That, and she can never really understand what people see in him. He's just normal???
(Lloyd didn't quite enjoy that comment so Kai used it as an excuse to get him to get more sleep)
@l0on i'm so sorry. YOU ARE THE REASON I'M POSTING THIS
I was just thinking the other day about what would happen if you showed a 6 year old from 2011 the future seasons of Ninjago —yes, while there are many much more interesting developments such as Nya being a ninja and Cole learning more about his mother — you're all forgetting another, very crucial thing that seriously changed.
Lloyd and Garmadon's relationship.
Imagine some kid happily watching Garmadon rescue his son from the Fire Temple and thinking wow, for Ninjago's greatest villain, he isn't that bad of a dad. His own son's gonna be his downfall and he's actually proud of him for that. Wish he's my dad.
And then you show them crystalized and they're like:
...what the fuck happened.
Writing advice from my uni teachers:
If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says “I’m mad” but they can say it in 100 other ways.
Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way you’re only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.
Don’t overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.
Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.
Who are the villains you saw on the poster?
[Ninjago] Season 4 doodles! We love to see a fun anime tournament arc🤩🤩🤩 The thunderblade episode is my favorite I love watching kai struggle to skate
Just a dumb thought that I had when I was supposed to be doing something else.
since Garmadon is the Master of Destruction and also, Lloyd's father, I kinda wondered whether there would be a day Lloyd would...inherit his element I guess? I know, Lloyd's already the Green Ninja – but just imagine him suddenly beginning to inherit Garm's powers little by little... without even realizing it....
And then meanwhile, post season 10 Garm is on the other side of Ninjago being like... wHat dAfuq haPpEned tO mY eLeMeNt?
Lloyd and Lord G are my coping mechanism. I'm also on FFNet and AO3 And yeah, I can't draw.
