Just a reminder, there is no dress code for theistic Satanism. You are not required to wear all black, you are not required to dress modestly (or immodestly), you are not required to wear a veil or any religious clothing at all.

Please dress however you feel comfortable and do what makes you happy. Personally I prefer to dress a bit more modestly and I wear a headscarf on the daily. Your practice is not affected by your appearance or other people's perception of you. You practice will only be affected by your own devotion and willingness to study and apply your knowledge.

May Lord Satan's light guide you even in the darkest of times.

btw almost every single thing pagans credit with “the reason we aren’t respected as a religion” is wrong. it’s not community infighting, or woo magic users, or pop culture pagans. it’s the fact we live in a culturally Christian society that teaches all other religions are “primitive and backwards”, and considers similarity and proximity to Christianity to be the basis by which other religions are evaluated as “respectable” or “superstitious nonsense”. if you think that you would get “respect” from mainstream Christians and secular people because you’re a strict recon who never argues with other pagans or does anything considered “weird” within paganism, you’re fooling yourself.

i wonder why it is that so many people are so very concerned with getting “respect” from mainstream religious groups and the secular world, while you can’t be bothered to treat other polytheists and pagans with respect as soon as they in any way challenge your personal comfort, or jeapordize your perceived “respectability” by association.

“Turn the other cheek” my ass. Teach your kids how to get even!

while i’m at it though, and it’s been awhile since i talked about it: the satanic temple and the church of satan are both led by fucking edge lord losers, power-crazed white men who think they’re god and entirely miss the point of calling out the problems within organized christianity while falling into the exact same problems. the leader of the satanic temple, which is often purported as some folk hero and anarchist, is extremely antisemitic and is a sex abuser. he’s also an amazing scam artist like the televangelists of the 90s. both organizations prey upon people who have been abused by religious institutions, sell a promise of acceptance and freedom, then do the exact same thing
