my piece for reverse zine
So maybe you already know I'm from country I kinda regretting being from, but that's not the topic of discussion so I have something to say.
We have 6 characters from Russia or USSR, and that's more than Chinese characters, so that's surprising, because the company is Chinese. At the start, we had only Lilya and Zima, and no matter how I like Lilya as the character, she is weak representative, because she is clichée in every way possible. Zima is better, they even used Cyrillic alphabet to write his name, and he is truly a slavic archetype because almost 90% of known poets and writers were exiled one way or another. His only lack is REALLY POOR RUSSIAN, much worse than Lilya's.
Can't really comment Eni at the point, she's from about the same epoque as Zima (but her Russian is not awful as his, so I'd rated her higher)
And then we have Rayashki which I love a lot. It's a very solid representation, backgrounds look so much authentic, and designs too. Also I like that Vila is really existing type of mermaid from tales of south slavs. And of course, Polar Night really sounds like 90s in former USSR. So good
Even Rayashki skins are neat (Oliver finally got his victory of proletariat) (Medicine Pocket is Sharikov from the heart of a dog. Yes, the company knows certainly what they're doing. The funniest skin in the industry)
