I don't understand why Talay told Phuwandol that Puen NEVER told he's flirting for fun?
Sure, Puen never said it's a prank but he clearly overdid things & always SAID that "it's for the script." So technically he DID say that it's NOT real, right??
Talay was just setting boundaries by asking Puen to quit his so called "fake" flirting. But Puen didn't even have the courage to go & clear all misunderstandings so he just isolated himself.
Talay still came looking for him & this boy had the audacity to say "I'm not messing with you" & kiss him JUST after giving one sentence of apology. (SERIOUSLY, how about you try saying something such as "I like you" before pulling him in for an unexpected kiss?! When will you learn to show sincerity, HUH?!!) Only for us to see him telling in ep5 teaser that it helped him improve the script š¤”
Puen was so cowardly he hid behind the excuse of scriptwriting instead of confessing. Talay deserves better. Perhaps someone who is more certain about their feelings for starters. Oh wait, perhaps someone who would tell his real name š
Nishinoya X reader
Warnings : none (oh, but I didn't proofread)
It was *that* match against Inarizaki & you knew you had to go down near Yachi & Kiyoko. Nishinoya was surely feeling pressured from being targeted for the first time.
You made your way down to where Yachi was. "Nishinoya Yuū!! Remember when you were scared to ask me out? How did you do it??" Nishinoya turned around. "I did it scared!" Escaped his lips. "Exactly! If the ball scares you then it hit it being scared!" Nishinoya looked at his teammates. "Grandfather was right! If I'm still scared then I ask for help. But sometimes I can do it myself being scared!!"
You smiled at him & he smiled back. "Remember how you fumbled & beat around the bush & asked with your face half looking down? You were scared but you still asked me. I said yes because you asked!!"
"You'd never say yes if I didn't ask! There is no hope if I don't move but little hope if I do! I LOVE YOU Y/N!" "I LOVE YOU TOO!!"
"Thank you for coming" Yachi smiled at you. "This will probably come on national television & I'll have to introduce him to my parents before we graduate high school but oh well." Nishinoya who was approaching you for a quick good luck kiss winked at you both saying "That's my girlfriend <3" You sent a flying kiss & started going back up saying "I'll see you later when you win the match :)"
"Looks like Karasuno's libero got the best motivation ever!" "We forget the players are still high school kids, ah young love!" The commentators added.
*time skip*
You went down to help Kiyoko & Yachi after the match was over. Nishinoya was making way towards the bench to sleep when he saw you. And he flopped into your arms while trying to hug you & greet you. "Sleepy baby" you giggled & kissed his temple as his eyes were drooping.
Sugawara saw you & giggled before helping you support his weight. Both of you dragged noya to the bench & you put his head in your lap as he drifted off to sleep.
You always carried a small blanket to matches knowing your boyfriend was a sleepyhead. This time too, you pulled it out & covered him & stroked his head. "You've done well love. I'm proud of you." You whispered into his ear.
*later that night*
The match highlights were on. Asahi & Sugawara were cringing at themselves. Hinata was all excited. Kageyama & Tsukishima groaned when Nishinoya came on screen. Of course they had to broadcast that scene of you trying to encourage your own boyfriend. It was a clip of you both conversing but the "I love you's" were the only audible dialogue luckily.
Later that night you were with Nishinoya for a bit before bedtime. "Thank you today Y/N... I should be a better boyfriend by not getting flustered when you are in the stands..." "I know, noya. You're worried people will blame me for distracting you if the team loses, right?" "People judge harshly, Y/N. I don't want you to be blamed for our mistakes." "I couldn't care less what people say & I don't bother if you win or lose. I just like it when your happy. And you're happy playing on the court." Both of you were holding hands but Nishinoya removed his.
You moved closer making your lips touch to initiate a kiss. It was very sweet & gentle. Your hands in his fluffy hair. His hands on your shoulders. You heard a slight sound so you pulled back. Normally Nishinoya wouldn't care of someone saw you both making out even, but he didn't want to do anything today. Especially with 2 teachers in the house.
You tucked him in bed, saying "Sleep tight Noya. You've worked hard all day." "Come to see us even tomorrow Y/N, love." "I will. Good night now <3" "Aren't you forgetting something??" "I was about to give your good night kiss omg you're such a baby!" "Yes I am. But YOUR baby!" He winked
"You better win many matches before heading home, because you'll have to meet my parents after we got exposed on TV"you laughed before kissing his forehead & nose & walking back to your room.
barbie movie is releasing soon & i just remembered an anecdote from my childhood.
i grew up in a conservative town where gender roles & stereotypes were barely questioned. my neighbor was a boy. he was 5. i was 8. he walked into our living room as i was watching the beginning of barbie princess charm school. my grandmother came after a while & asked if he watched barbie & not ben 10.
"omg she's so cool she wiped the tables, cooked & served customers so fast in 10 seconds she's a superhuman!!" he exclaimed & continued watching as long as his attention span of a 5 y/o could take.
misogyny is not inherent. misogyny is taught. understand that.

6. Nishigori triplets pampering Makkachin when Yuri and Victor are away for tournament !
7. Ok lastly Minami petting Makkachin when they gathered for the tournament cheering š„¹
And no, its not because its outside the usual university/office context. (well yes it adds to the reason but hear me out).
Classic Thai BL is how a rich boy with issues meets poor boy with a big heart who gives him confidence to open his heart again. Jealous ex, old girl crush, second lead, poorly shown confusion about ones sexualityā¦. But this one? Almost none of it.
Well poor boy rich boy yes & no. Tian is a rich boy who is having a tough time coping with the prospect of death. He was not heartbroken from an exā¦. he was genuinely frustrated from having no goals, a comfortable life with little room to aspire for more, no clue of his interests. And then he knows he might just die one day before he even gets to 30. Then one fine day Torfunās unfortunate death saves his life. He feels burdended with guilt. A horrible guilt to live with. There was this young woman, with hopes, dreams, a desire to do good for the village kids. Because of his parents connections & wealth he not only cuts the line but also gets to prolong a life he was living aimlessly. Unhappily.
But now for the first time in his life, guilt it may be, drives him to actually do something. The near death experience pushes him to try something new & seek something in this second life that was bestowed upon him. Also notice how itās not poor boy teaches rich boy there is so much to live for. Tian finds a reason to keep going by himself. Phupha was a sweet bonus on the side that made out worthwhile for him to stick around in a remote place (and as a city kid let me tell you living in such remote places semi permanently is hard for us. Itās a 360 degree lifestyle change)
And idk if it is Tian or Mix but he has this firm yet gentle feminine charatcter about him. He is just a little bratty with Phupa to get his attention. He doesnāt wait like the princess to be pursued, he initiates. But when hints are thrown at him he shows he picks on them and still plays just a little hard to get.
Also Phupha. Earth just does it so well as a reserved masculine lead š but even then, him caring for Tian seems more of a protective instinct. It feels like at first he had this prejudice knowing who Tian is, that he wouldnāt be able to bear hardships. However at the same time heās hit with the fact just how attractive he finds this man. Sure he must have given up on dating after being heartbroken losing his fatherā¦. But think about it. Heās near the border. Few colleagues & families in the village. There was Torfun. He knew she liked him. Although not explicit he was probably gay & could not afford to come out in such a tight knit village where many donāt understand it. They may not be homophobic, but they also may not understand what being gay is. And they keep telling him to get a āwifeā. Then comes this man who is attractive, sassy AND into him? Phupha may not be this brooding masculine guy after all he might just be unaware of how to flirt confidently. Especially with a man.
Leaving aside the manufactured conflict which couldāve been done so much betterā¦. Phupha is such a shy character. He doesnāt show much affection in public. And in Our Skyy 2 it is clear just how insecure he feels seeing Tian has moved & changed his lifestyle to suit him but heās barely done that much of a lifestyle change for him. And the difference in social class makes it hard for him to see Tianās parents. He must have worked so hard to get that diamond & plan the proposal w his parentsš„¹
And I love how genuine the ending feels. Tian gives his life abroad a chance & ultimately decides he wants to go teach in that village. Phupha knows he likes his job & sets Tian free saying heāll wait for him but doesnāt expect him to return. It was not a real compromise on careers or dreams, but a natural draw they had towards each other & the place & its community.
Honestly VegasPete ship would never sail if Kinn had just paid more attention to the situation.
I'm not talking about him forgetting. It's when Vegas lies to him via text that Pete is going to see his grandmother who fell & probably got hurt .
Kinn you had the brains to ask her about his whereabouts but not her health?!š¤¦āāļø If only Kinn had even vaguely asked about how she fell he'd have discovered the lie.
And no grandma wouldn't have lied & agreed she's hurt. Because Vegas has told Pete had been given a vacation from the major family & not something he got from cooking up this excuse.
Seriously Kinn, if only you had remembered to be a little more courteous & paid attention to detailš¤§š¤¦āāļø
Cuties and their drunk confessions š„¹
"You could get sick in my bed and I wouldn't even care. It might be a bit annoying to change the sheets but I wouldn't make you help."
A common Thai superstition is that a virgin lady can prevent rains for the day by sticking lemongrass upside down into the soil under an open sky. This ritual is calledĀ ąøąø±ąøąøąø°ą¹ąøąø£ą¹ bpĆ k dtĆ -krĆ”i).
FOR THE HIGHLIGHT if it indeed does not rain then the one who performs it is a true virgin. (Now is this scene supposed to mean something?š)
Imagine Vegas being allowed to go on a field trip to a beach in a village when 13. It's got to do with his father's mission but he's grateful for the chance to use the school bus for once. Like other kids. Cut to Vegas sitting alone waiting for his father in the evening. His classmates have left for home.
He grabs fistfuls of sand & watches the grains slip from his hand while realizing the salt water on his chin is not the sea spray. Suddenly, a hand on his shoulder causes him to flinch. A cracked male voice enquires, "Are you lost?". He shakes his head sideways. On turning around he can't tear his gaze away from the sculpted features of a boy in oversized clothes & messy hair.
"Do you want a friend?" The boy asks again, flashing his dimples & eye smiles. Vegas nods in agreement. The boy sits beside him. "I'm Pete. Even I'm alone today. All my friends are away for vacation. Grandma will be back tomorrow morn. What's your name?" Vegas hesitantly responds, "Vienna. I'm just waiting for my father."
Vegas reads him a story and Pete listens to it with fascination. Pete picks & shows him various seashells but Vegas is only looking at his hands until he spots his father at a distance. Afraid of being spotted together he tells him to hide from his scary father & scurries away.
Since that day Vegas turns to that chest tingling memory for warmth & comfort. He even tries to find that boy but doesn't find any useful leads. Plus the nostalgia of first love also brings regret with it. The fact he didn't even say goodbye. To the boy who deserved to know his real first name at the least. So he tries to distract himself. By plotting against the major family to please his father (spoiler alert : he always fails to)
On a particular bad day the last thing he'd want to do was meeting the major family. But the minor family's heir didn't have the luxury to rest.
This time a new bodyguard greets them with a tight smile. Vegas catches himself thinking "He's cute" as the new recruit escorts them to the meeting room before taking a spot beside Tankhun and half of Vegas' attention.
As they're exiting the room Vegas picks up the new recruit's fallen ID card. He shakes his head in disbelief on seeing a familiar name. There's no way on Earth they could find the one only he knew & never found, right?
His face loses colour when he flips the case. It's like seeing the mirror of Erised. It was a face only he knew from seven years ago. With the same eye smile that had made him feel weak in the knees for the first & last time. There was an old woman in the picture too.
The major family somehow always seemed to have everything he wanted & never got. Loving parents, wealth, power, status, self esteem & respect. Life couldn't be more unfair. One boy, whose memory was only his, his first love, his sole comfort memory that didn't include his deceased mother. Somehow even this was bestowed upon the major family. The one he yearned for was now serving his rivals. They didn't even worship him like he did for 7 long years.
Vegas sought revenge. If he couldn't have his love then he'd never let his rival Kinn be in love either. So he pocketed the card & set out to trap Tawan.
no one talks about how difficult it is to never settle. they just say "never settle. you are the icon. yay. slay." no. one. ever. talks about how difficult it is to decide that it is not worth it.
bcs more often than not we are not even sure if we are passing something that is the best we can get. sometimes we are not sure if we are even being reasonable when asking for more. the confusion whether we are actually not settling for less or having unrealistic expectations. the constant battle in our head between waiting and trying for better vs taking the easy way out of putting up with the first good-ish thing offered to us.
sure, one should never settle for less but no. single. person. ever. fucking. talks about how confusing it is to decide between high standards and delusion.
