This is now canon in my head k

What headcanons do you guys have for LOTF characters and the subjects they’d study at university? I’m curious.

Mine are:

Jack - law (Jack is just peak law-student vibes. Typical overachieving head boy, head chorister, likes to pick arguments with everyone, theatrical enough to appreciate the showmanship of being a lawyer.)

Maurice - chemistry (okay, hear me out, I just feel like Maurice could be that guy who seems like just a memer on the surface but is actually really smart. Plus bad chemistry puns.)

Ralph - Either French or English Lit (Ralph’s a fairly emotional person, so either studying a Romance language like French, which is a fairly passionate, emotional language, or English Lit, with all the romanticism it involves, would probably suit him.)

Roger - geology (The boy likes rocks, okay?)

Simon - Philosophy (I was really torn between this and Religious Studies, but between his whole ‘the beast is inside of us’ revelation, and the fact that I really want him to be a mini Chidi Anagonye, it checks out.)

Sam - Chemistry (It would just highly amuse me if one twin were really nerdy and academically inclined, and the other...Less so. Plus, all the chemistry puns with Maurice.)

Eric - Film Studies (Eric is 100% that annoying sibling who talks during films, so if he did film studies, he could interject with stuff he’d learned in class. Plus, Ralric book vs movie debates.)

Piggy - Sociology (Very interested in the workings of society, probably enjoys bringing up and debating various points. Loudly remarks that the likes of Jack and Roger are what’s causing societal breakdown.)

•Ralph: Tightrope Walker

• Simon: Animal Tamer

• Sam ‘n’ Eric: Trapeze Artists

• Maurice: Clown/Magician

• Piggy: Roger’s target practice Can’t perform on account of his ass-mar but sells tickets/snacks

Maurice for the headcannon thing :)

What he smells like: Cologne and Lavender

How they sleep: Maurice either gets 15 hours or 2 hours, he has no in between

What music he enjoys: Probably more upbeat music, or Lofi music because it relaxes him!

How much time he spends getting ready in the morning: Enough time to brush his teeth and run his fingers through his hair

Favourite thing to collect: Birthday or Christmas cards. He has all of them, starting from when he was 6

Left or right handed: It depends on the day. Most of the time, he’s right handed but he’s just as good with his left hand

Religion: None, Catholicism tore him apart so he left the church

Favourite Sport: Soccer. Idk if you can count Shuffleboard as a sport but he’s good at that too

Favourite touristy thing to do: Walk around with no intention of going anywhere and just sight see

Favourite kind of weather: Clear days with clouds so that he can cloud watch

A weird fear he has: Maurice is 1000% terrified of lightning thank you very much. Not thunder, he doesn’t mind thunder. Lightning. Oh and giraffes

The arcade game he always wins without fail: Those fucking SCAMS of games that are like “wiN tHe jacKpoT” and then Maurice DOES

Oh. My. God. This alone is a MASTERPIECE. I just KNOW that the complete illustration is going to be EPIC

This is faaar from ready, but I just wanted to show you a little teaser about the upcoming Gaudete - Choir illustration I'm currently working on. This cathedral, as it can be seen here, doesn't exist, I used multiple references and combined them to create one, new building. I'm gonna paint this later, but first, I need to finish the lineart... 😶

The boys from left to right are Jack, Maurice, Robert, Harold, Henry, Bill, Simon and Roger.
