I’m also tracking the tag “sassyyogi” so if you have anything you want to show me, just tag me in it!
If you have any questions, please ask me here, I’ll be glad to answer any queries!
Feel free to join in this challenge any time you want! Anyone and everyone is welcomed!
Also, remember!
Listen to your body! Feel free to take any modifications! Every individual variation of a yoga pose is beautiful and there is no such thing as ‘perfect’ in a yoga practice!
Feel free to send me bloopers of you in the midst of getting into a yoga pose - I love seeing candid shots like that! I think we are often too caught up in the final pose rather than enjoying the process of getting into it <: So, funny bloopers are very much welcome!! <: I will be doing so myself too!
Have fun! The main aim of this challenge is to get some people acquainted with yoga, for yogis to try to practice on a daily basis, and for us to get to know each other better! <:
**If you can, I really would like you to send me photos or videos! Let’s make this a little community!**
Namaste! xx

Hey Lovelies! I decided to do this because Angie (sassyyogi) is traveling abroad and can’t do the next installment of the Yoga Challenge. I loved the first one so much and I didn’t want to stop! I really think documenting the poses are great for progress and to actually really know you’re doing the post correctly.
Remember not to push yourself, just do as much as you can and don’t worry. We’re all in this together for learning, progress and fun! Hold each pose for 4 deep breaths and move out of the pose slowly.
Please tag your posts #fhnjulyyoga #fitnesshealthnutrition or #julyyogachallenge and I’ll be tracking them! Message me if you need anything or have any questions! I really hope you enjoy this challenge I’ve put together! :)

To me, songs are kind of like bookmarks. Have you ever listened to a song that you haven’t heard in a while, and all of a sudden, all the memories of that time period come back, and you remember what your life used to be like. They’re like milestones in your life.
Traditional Skills To Learn
In a world ran by technology, business, and success, the art of learning traditional skills and homemaking has been lost. I believe we should all go after our dreams, no matter what they are, but going back to our ancestral roots is a great way to practice mindfulness. Working on traditional skills gives you a sense of satisfaction, wellbeing, grounding, and peace. Here is a list of some ways you can reconnect with yourself and the earth :
Gardening
Cooking from scratch
Canning food
Pottery
Wood carving
Sewing
Baking bread & making cheese
Learn about herbs and make your own medicine
Crochet
Make jam
Learn etiquette
Decorate your home
Write in cursive
Paint
Make candles
Teach & care for children
You will be rewarded for all your hard work.
It may seem dark, hopeless and you may think it would be best to just give up. Don’t, be patient. Change takes time, but real change doesn’t come overnight, it comes slowly, day by day. Always remember that the best moment to be happy is right now. Not when you’ve archieved a goal you’ve set for yourself. Right. Now. Is the moment to be happy. Because once you start to appreciate the moment, you can see the little things that really make you happy. The thing that made me the happiest today wasn’t the trip to the city with my mum (sorry mum), not being home, not laying in my own bed for a few minutes, but the moment when my dad called me when I was back at the hospital to ask me how I was. Eventhough he had dropped me off an hour earlier.
Knowing that I’m loved and being encouraged in my battle is the greatest feeling, the biggest reward of all time. So focus on love, happiness and calmness, and you will learn to see true beauty in the little things.
You will not get what you want; you will get what you need and what you fight for. So keep on fighting, never, ever, ever give up.
Live by it.
17. African- Togolese and Ghanian Descent. Tired but appreciating the little things in life.
