As an aspec black person,i really give the sideeye to nonblacks who headcanon Hobie as aroace and say it's based on 'vibes'.Like oh yeah,what 'vibes'?Was it when the first thing we learned about him was that him and Gwen were going to have crushes on eachother?Was it confirmed when this made it into the final project as we see him flirting with her by teasing her onscreen and she gets flustered?Was it when she also did blatantly couple-y things with him like stealing his sweater and shoes and her implying he said tons of sweet and comforting things to her and Miles' reaction was jealousy he's yet to actually be proven wrong for having?Was it when he not only flirted with Miles too but also in every single scene they interacted starting from 'Man,like,Miles,my guy!'?If this was instead done by an adaption of Harry Osborn or Flash Thompson,would you still be saying he 'has aroace vibes' or would you instead be saying he's a 'bisexual king'?Awnser QUICKLY

Headcanon that all spider people get what’s called the “Spider-Zoomies” (which is a sudden burst of energy but it’s expressed through Spider-like behavior) except for Miguel because he didn’t get bitten, so every time he makes the mistake of going to HQ in the middle of the night, he gets jump scared by at least one Spider-Man:

Scuttling across the ceiling (Pavitr)

Hissing into the void (Miles)

Bench pressing a building (Peter B)

Jumping fifty feet into the air without warning (Margo)

Building some intricate contraption in complete darkness (Hobie, emphasis on trap)

Running extremely fast without making a sound so you don’t know they’re there until it’s too late (wtf Mayday)

Or crouching into a corner, completely still like a predator watching its prey, and the moment he gets close to them, they whisper “Hey” making him scream so loud that he throws his empanadas in their face (Gwen)
