does anyone else think that Eddie Munson isn’t the problem for the Stranger things fandom? Just shut up and hear me out for a moment. My father and I watched the whole series together and he was in high school in the 80s. He was the depiction of a metalhead and he said that they actually portrayed metalheads back then pretty well. Them not wanting to be like others, but some of them still tried to hang out and get along with others (as seen). The only reason people have a problem with Eddie and stranger things in general is because some of the people in the fandom are a little odd for their taste, and by all means do what you want as long as you aren’t doing something gross or harmful, but a lot of people don’t like these people because they’re like Eddie. They like to be loud and cringy and dumb, and honestly they’re just being themselves. As someone who was teased by others both online and by friends and family for being myself, it kinda upsets me. And believe me, I know they can be a lot, but I usually just ignore them. And I think a lot of people need to learn that if you don’t like something, and someone is having fun and not hurting anyone, leave them alone. You don’t need to go after them because you don’t agree with their beliefs or their style. Also most of them are literal children. Let these kids be themselves. They’re being brave enough to be themselves, and with them having to grow up during COVID, and all the other stuff that they’re going through they’re just trying to find something that can distract them. I know this because my little cousin came crying to me because her and I had watched stranger things and she got made fun of for saying she liked Eddie. But I digress.

Slender rambles

A/N: this is just a ramble about slenderman and the proxies. This is my opinion but also things I’ve noticed

Warnings: talk about fire, murder, mental illness, and being stalked

I’ve noticed that no people like ever talk about how kind slenderman is on a certain level. Look, sure he’s the scary monster but he’s been watching all of his proxies since they were kids. Little kids at that. He knew that they would snap and kill at some point. He knew that they all had bad childhoods and he knew he was going to help. After they killed he took them in. Sure he made them work for him but they’re doing about the only thing they can do because these kids have serious mental illness. And he stops them from running on the street without anyone stopping them. He keeps them tame to a certain extent. I’d like to think that he sees them as his kids. I know I’m making all these fictional murderers sound like sweeties but I’m not trying to. Just saying why I love slender. Also, in marble hornets when Tim was admitted into the ward when he was a young kid and ran into the woods, that’s probably when Slenderman found out about him. He’s been seeing him since because until he does something truly drastic, like at the end, he can’t take him in. That’s why hoodie was first to be taken in. He probably did something to have slenderman take him to the mansion and become a Proxy. These are all just headcanons of the little world in my head of what the story is. I’d like to think that he tries to give his proxies a makeshift family. A good one.
