🕯 "To all those who died alone in the Russian occupation". Muzychi village, Kyiv region
These are the words on the tombstone that stands on the grave of the mother of Ukrainian artist Alevtina Kakhidze. The artist installed it in 2021. This memorial project consists of six marble doors that replicate the location of the doors in the house of Alevtina's mother, known as Klyubnyka Andriivna, in the village of Zhdanivka, Donetsk region, as well as concrete porch steps recreated in real life. When the war in eastern Ukraine broke out, the artist's mother was unable to leave her home despite her daughter's persuasion. Alevtina dedicated a series of works to her mother, which were shown at exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Kakhidze's mother died in 2019 - her heart stopped while crossing one of the checkpoints controlled by the militants of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". She was buried in the Kyiv region.
This is not the kind of message that children should receive from their parents "If we are killed, all the documents are in the basement."
This is what I mean when I say that we cannot negotiate and freeze the conflict. Because children from the occupied territories, who are now 14-17 years old, will be fighting against us in five years.
Don't be indifferent. Make Russia pay. Please hear our cry out to the world, keep spreading our voices, and donate to our army and combat medics (savelife.in.ua, prytulafoundation.org, Serhii Sternenko, hospitallers.life, ptahy.vidchui.org, and u24.gov.ua).
pink floyd twitter fandom is finally caught up on roger's political opinions and have a less positive opinion on him now
yeah, the same dudes who recently licked his heels and simply ignored replies to posts asking "What about Ukraine? What about Taiwan?"
ubelievable fr but i'm glad

i love how many people here are an example of how people never care about other countries or world problems. everyone here just wants to have fun and for the sake of this entertainment you are ready to turn a blind eye to what your favorite member says or does. you all say that you do not support his political views, but you never spread condemnation of them, but simply ignore them. you like confessions where people want to choke on his sperm or eat members of pink floyd, but when the conversation comes about something serious, you immediately step back, and then also write how tired you are of this 😭 tired? really? someone lives in the world of these confessions, someone goes down to the basement every day because of a missile attack, someone is afraid that their father will be drafted into the army or is afraid that he will never return, but it’s still you who gets tired. and someone sits at home and writes how annoyed he is by such confessions, because “well, roger waters is my favorite member and all these things make me feel bad that i like him(“. well, it’s not our fault. we don’t determine what he says or does, we spread this because it’s wild and because EVERYONE decides to turn a blind eye to it, everyone decides that it’s better to close political confessions, because they’re too dark, everyone decides that it’s better to pass by than to reblog to themselves, because "oh, but then my blog will be negative". half of those confessions are not even mine lmao, some people just want to talk about it for real.
you're so comfortable in the entertainment business that when it starts getting to the point of roger fox hunting with clapton or writing a letter to the president of a war-torn country saying they should give up and give up territory, suddenly it's all out of politics or suddenly "it's too dark for my blog."
love him as much as you want, he doesn't end as a person with his political statements, there's nothing wrong with him being your favorite member. on the contrary, it’s very good that you like him, because now you can finally do the right thing. don't write a confession about wanting his dick, but maybe reflect on what smart things he said in his songs and how strange it is that he doesn't stick to them now.
talk about it because if you don't he will never see how disappointed his fans are in him. how disappointed they are in his statements.
Man seeing a lot of these confessions lately reminds me exactly why I started distancing myself from the fanbase. I still love Pink Floyd but some fans just love screaming the same hateful ragebait over and over and it's fucking annoying. It's hard for me to even listen to the music anymore because all I can think of is the negativity. Whoever runs this blog is a trooper because it must be draining as hell at times.
So this was sent as a submission and I’m posting like this to keep confessed anonymous. It is tiring and draining. It’s getting annoying seeing hateful confessions in my inbox now. I feel bad every time I see one about Roger. Yes, his political opinions are very controversial, but y’all are pushing it now. I love Roger and it makes me feel like I’m a horrible person for having him be my favourite member, and just one of my favourite musicians in general.
I also just realized the submitted by tag takes away the anonymity.
