Notes on how I draw him
tailgate doesn't rlly uhhhh look before he speaks
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
I am absolutely rewilling to bequeath the name Austintatious (ostentatious) Galadrigal to a Kodanth/Dictatious child.
rewatched the entirety of tales of arcadia, 3 series and .... the movie..
and and i came across and idea somewhere i forgot where, of combining the httyd + Tao universes!
to be clear, i don't mean in a crossover where to franchises meet but the lore being combined into one universe ahah, so events in httyd still happened then idk years and years later toothless the king of dragons is still alive but ancient and has met the champion of arcadia, the trollhunter Jim!
It's been well, so long since his dragons have interacted with humans, so it was quite surprising to see one enter his secret home,
don't have much story or lore in it yet, it is just a fun thought for now, having toothless meet new ppl that remind him of his old friends
sometimes they resemble them a lil too much..
did i mention he talks here now? I dubious choice but idk, i think it would be fun
You too can spend so long fighting Indesign that you have to belatedly grab some boards for the week. ANYWAY how about a few panels from the Trollhunters episode, Recipe for Disaster?
If anybody is understandably wondering, Nastaha (Now Natasha Presler-Wicke) with a single exception does not have any of her work public. These are all we have from this episode at this time :)

(WIZARDS SPOILERS) My storyboards from Wizards Ep 10, Douxie & Merlin Farewell scene. This is by far my favorite scene I have EVER boarded of all time. This scene is heavily crafted in terms of visual language and cinematic symbolism, and I had SO much fun planning and executing this scene. I will post a scene breakdown analysis of this sequence soon (hopefully within the next 2 weeks) so y’all can see my thought process and the symbology behind the cinematography (hints: look at the character blocking, directional movement, compositions of the frame, lighting, and see if you can find some themes!) Fun fact, I was crying boarding this scene haha; I listened to “Moving On” from Lost as I boarded and I’m sure that didn’t help.
Edited by the exceptionally talented Joel Fisher (I had to do minor edits on this version, so if there is something clunky that is 100% my fault).
You can find tap through versions of these storyboards and more on my website. Link in my bio!
Ah yes. Me. My boyfriend. And his 4am zoomies.

Barbara: How do you explain your behavior?
Strickler: It’s a little complicated,
Jim: He was in a cult.
Barbara: What??
Strickler: I was not in a cult!
Jim: You were in a cult.
Strickler: It was a very legitimate, however secret, organization that had thousands of members world wide. Based on the teachings of our Lady Creator, we worked toward the release of an ancient being who would help us to return her to the Earth, and we would receive her instructions through an old oh my god I was in a cult.
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR TFONE Current hyperfixations; Transformers and DC (animation specifically) Please interact w me about them, I would love the company, excuse the mess. :> :]
