Trents openness about his sexuality and lack of toxic masculinity is inspiring to see. In a world of homophobia and misogyny more people should look to him as a role model.

Starting a collection of times Trent acted kinda gay (textual format)

Me: In the fullest sense?
Trent: Almost. A veil of drunkeness. It was kind of a mutual thing. It was weird. It was half-joking around. It was bristly. And later-in the old Nine Inch Nails-if we wanted to get rid of people, the guitarist and I would start making out. It was a trick. I mean, I really love women. I don't dislike men, and there's many times I've thought about it. You get into certain scenes, and I realize I should experiment down that path, and I just haven't done it yet. "The last time Reznor used this studio - for the clandestine sessions that resulted in Nine Inch Nails' 1992 EP Broken, which resulted in a Grammy - a studio employee made a crack about the concentration of gay men on the beach. In retaliation, Reznor bought dozens of gay porno mags, clipped out hundreds of pictures of phalluses and hid them all over the studio - some in places where they didn't turn up for months. This time, Reznor screened an extreme S&M video for assistant studio engineer Leo Herrera that still gives Herrera the willies a week later."

TNH: If something has been advertised as "minty fresh," do you believe it to actually be "minty fresh?

AN: Interesting. I'm not really a big mint fan, so I guess I've never pondered too hard about that one. The only time the term "mint" ever comes into play around me is when Trent will say something like, "Look at that dude's ass. Damn, he's so MINT."

I love this shoot, the contrast of the vulnerability of his pose against the cold harsh stone and roughed up clothes. There's so much going on but it's incredibly simplistic at the same time
