I wanted to try to create a sims legacy challenge. Turns out, it's a bit more difficult than I expected...

Insect Legacy Challenge

Do you like learning about insects or just making sims in pretty colours? Maybe some other challenges seem stale or just not right?

Well take a look at the Insect Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on colourful insects and their famous traits.

Some rules and suggestions:

Each heir should represent the insect (of course you don't have to do that but it's a fun aspect that could give you ideas)

The heirs' or their spouses' gender doesn't matter (unless stated otherwise)

Cheats can be used just not excessively (personally it makes it too easy)

You can live anywhere you'd like (unless stated otherwise)

Each generation must complete everything written in the bottom left corner. Only then can you move on to the next heir

I recommend keeping the lifespan at normal

If anyone actually tries this and wants to share their journey, you can use the #theinsectlegacy (I think no one is using that hashtag for other things)

Why do we say that capitalism must be “dismantled”?

You’ll hear phrases like “Smash the state!” “Eat the rich!” and “Smash capitalism!”

And, yes, of course, but… :)

However relevant those sayings are, our work must be careful, highly organized and above all planned.

Because capitalism and all of its associated systems are not discrete, abstracted entities we can attack independently.

It is a structure, like a complicated machine with many thousands of working parts…

And right now it is connected to absolutely everything.

Then a lot of vulnerable people will die.

The machine was built and improved and redesigned and patched over the course of generations. It is very good at its intended purpose, which is ultimately to generate profit.

Every human being alive today relies on the byproducts of the machine to survive, without exception.

The machine’s engineers want it to keep working like it does. In fact, they want to optimise it.

That will kill all remaining life on Earth.

So, we must destroy the machine, quickly and carefully

We must examine its deadly programs and mechanics and replace them with alternatives we built together.

The engineers don’t want us tampering with the machine.

However, we make it run…

So we can make it STOP. Together.

so you know how we get red-eyes in photos when there's a flash? i think cole's version of red-eye is green from when he was a ghost.

kai and nya are the kings of shirts that go hard, and lloyd developed a similar taste because of their influence.

kai can do that with his hair and everyone begs him to even if it's just slightly cold because they're annoying.

lloyd glows in the dark post-discovering he's not human. he can control it, but he usually doesn't unless he's doing ninja stuff and needs to be hidden. he still can't see in the dark so it helps a little for that.

Starting out ✿

Feel free to make your heir however you would like, traits and aspirations are listed in their sections however the looks are completely up too you. No specific lot sizes required, feel free to move lots for each generation.

General rules ✿

no money cheats

No mods that give you an advantage MCC is allowed

CC is encouraged

The challenge does require sims 4 packs so be weary

✿ GEN 1

New moon

Most people as they grow up loose the child inside of them, their creativity, their spark you know how it goes when people mature, but not you. You’ve always had a broad imagination and a childlike wonder of the world. However it comes with its difficulties like finding love, but now that your older you want to explore your wonder to its full potential

Requirements

≫ aspiration: soulmate (must complete)

≫ traits: creative, childish and genius

≫ career: interior designer (must complete / max)

≫ must max, painting, baking and fabrication skills (candle making)

≫ all furniture and decorations for your house must be found in dumpsters or hand crafted

≫ live in the small home tier of a tiny house

≫ have at least 1 child

≫ always experiment with colour, makeup, nails etc MAKE IT BOLD

✿ GEN 2

Waxing crescent

You were born with a strong and bold personality rebellious if you will. Your stubbornness has gotten you places like the principals office but if you have an opinion it will be heard, your not a bad person and feel you do try to succeed but your tone always comes out strong, finding a way to use that would really come in handy.

≫ aspiration: chief of mischief (must complete)

≫ traits: hot headed, hates children, unflirty

≫ career: lawyer (must complete)

≫ must max research and debate, charisma and mischief skills

≫ win 10 debates

≫ age up to a young adult with the worst emotional control as a reward trait

≫ gain the coffee fanatic lifestyle

≫ have only ONE child

First Quarter

Your strong minded, you like to challenge yourself, it’s how you were born. You were always given encouraging words by your parents but that wasn’t what kept you motivated it was knowing that you would be successful in life. You always asked and did extra credit during school, and were always eager to learn. You definitely have potential.

≫ aspiration: renascence sim (must complete)

≫ traits: ambitious, self assured, perfectionist

≫ career: astronaut (must complete)

≫ must max rocket science, programming and logic skills

≫ travel to sixam

≫ complete the aliens, space print (using the new telescope) and space rocks collections

≫ Plant the UFO fruit, make a garden

≫ have at least one child

Waxing Gibbous

To sum it up your great at forming lasting relationships. Your a people person and feel most secure with family and in larger friend groups. People say you have a gift, the gift of the gob I guess always talking to literally anyone you come across your confidence is like a ray of sunshine, however sometimes being in the public eye can make you sweat while making decisions.

Requirements

≫ aspiration: world famous celebrity (must complete)

≫ traits: insider, paranoid and high maintenance

≫ career: actress

≫ must max acting, singing and photography skills

≫ must keep at least 4 childhood friends

≫ gain the people person lifestyle

≫ decide to marry on sim, leave them at the alter, date another sim, leave them and ≫ finally actually marry the first sim

≫ own at least one club until you are an elder

≫ have at least one child

Full Moon

You inherit it from your family being extremely extroverted and confident, when you walk into the room everyone seems to notice you. Sometimes you like it but other times you wonder if it’s just because your parents are famous. The fame life isn’t for you, your into sport and getting outside for some wild fun or even throwing the craziest parties, I mean your parents don’t own a big house for nothing

≫ traits: active, adventurous and bro

≫ career: Military (must complete)

≫ must max fitness, rock climbing and charisma skills

Third quarter

You’ve always had an opinion about how the world should be run how homelessness shouldn’t be a thing and if the government had the money why wouldn’t they stop all these problems, but as you got older you realised those demands were very out of proportion. You realised if you wanted change and a world where your future children could grow up happy, you would have to do it yourself.

I think I just had a prophetic dream about the Qsmp????

It started with phil logging on and being in the wall house but it looked different(?) and he turned around to see two Eye workers in the wall house. He starts to freak out (for obvious reasons) yelling “How did you get in!?!? You don’t have permission!??” And then quickly goes to the nest to see that ANOTHER TWO EYE WORKERS ARE BURNING IT DOWN!!! He only barely manages to get Sheyanne and Tallulah out of the fire, and they all start running. The eye workers chase them, at some point attempting to knock phil into a cage trap, which he barely manages to avoid and keep running, as the eye workers still try to continue to knock him into it. Shortly after some federation workers show up and fight off the eye. Workers will fill Sheyanne and Tallulah continue to run and that’s about the point when I realized it was a dream because in the dream he was streaming at like 2 AM and that’s unusual for him so. IDK, if I’m just suffering from QSMP withdrawals, but it was a strangely vivid dream.

You know I hate to say it but, Lloyd should’ve left the third oni mask where it was, because only those with oni blood can grab the mask/touch the flames, and as far as we know he’s the only person in Ninjago with oni blood… it literally showed us Harumi trying to grab it and failing…Lloyds a bit stupid, we love him though
