Rui cried the first time Tsukasa said "I love you", like genuine full on SOBBING. This man was trembling and Tsukasa was like "ARE YOU OKAY????? DID I SAY SOMETHING WRONG I'M SORRY?????????"

random facts about a local production i did

context for future reference: this was mary poppins jr, and we did the version that spilt into two acts (in the middle of a song mind you)

and out differences between act 1 and act 2 leads was kinda hilarious,,,, I’ll go down the line

act 1 vs act 2 george/winifred banks:: n/a, same actors

act 1 vs act 2 micheal:: loses a few inches, went from strawberry blonde(?) to a brunette

act 1 vs act 2 jane:: lost several inches (went from roughly same height as micheal to a quite a bit shorter for reference), brunette to blonde

act 1 vs act 2 Bert:: paler, straighter hair, harder to spot difference than others

act 1 vs act 2 mary:: same height, brunette to black hair, loss of hat (☹️)

this was due to our cast being a paid to be there, so lotsa ensemble :3 (very fun!!!)

okay now for less info-y facts that r just silly

so there’s a whole metaphor thing with the kites in our show in each act, micheal’s homemade kite being broken in act 2 to show the broken family (very serious and sad, ikkk)

we had the Micheal/metaphor kites swapped for every rehearsal until we realized mid tech week (like Thursday i think???)

one of our techs was in like highschool (local production, volunteer stuff) and was constantly whispering into the mics, such as “guys,, these lines are pretty 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂…. 😈” and then everyone would tell him to shut up

(techs were micked up, actors weren’t, so we only learned this after!!!)
