You can absolutely be mad about the writers not doing poc characters justice, you can complain and rant about that all you want because those are valid feelings to have but let's fact check alright? Because by implying Mari was scalped and that she's indigenous without ever getting the indication that she is, we're pressing horrid stereotypes.

We took one look at a girl wearing a white dress with black hair running through the woods and we immediately go 'She looks like Pocahontas and other indigenous figures we're aware of surely she must be too!' we discredit almost everything we've seen so far that has been alluding to this to push the narrative that she's now indigenous is actually kind of racist, it's biased to be sure and it's a gross generalization.

It's like looking at an east-asian and just assuming they're Chinese or looking at an African and assuming they're Kenyan, even though there was no particular indication or sign. It's our inherent bias and assumption based on what little we know of other cultures but that does not make it reality unless it's confirmed by Alexa Barajas or the showrunners.

Shauna - vanilla and she'd have this whole spiel about how vanilla is unfairly maligned as boring when it's actually super subtle and complex (It's her. She's vanilla).

Nat - any citrus gelato. If it has to be dairy she'll take vanilla. She has no spiel.

Lottie - cherry. It's very nostalgic for her.

The disrespect and the hatred for Sam Wilson is so telling because I've argued with people who have literally said his story doesn't matter and having a story about a black man and his experiences is meaningless because it's woke. No, actually, it's the reality and a lot of y'all cannot accept it. Even ao3 treating Sam with that same attitude made me loose a lot of respect for them.

I know this fandom at large is a cesspit of the worst of humanity who cannot understand the very stories they like or the fact that other people exist and will enjoy the stories even if they don't but it got on my nerves enough for me to rant a little here.

The hate I see Monica, Kamala, Carol, Wanda, Sam and many other female or poc characters is disgusting. I once saw someone get mad at a clip of Kamala smiling because apparently she's annoying, news flash people get excited when they find out they have superpowers as a teenager (and it is natural to express that excitement) and if really your reasoning is that she freaks out over superheroes and is awkward then you should hate Peter Parker too no? But they don't because... Racism and sexism.

Shaunahat for the win because god that was brutal and good on Melissa, the ankle is actually a vital point, that people overlook a lot, it holds your foot and leg together, if it's injured then it's a hell of a lot harder to walk even if you're a champ with pain.

Let's not forget the fact that not everyone can watch episodes immediately. I don't live in the US and had to wait to watch it. I saw so many people spoiling without a simple 'YJ S3' like three letters and one number would have been enough to keep me out.
