i’d also like to add that i feel like people have this weird idea of making the his paint (and other aspects of LoTF in general) look aesthetic pleasing. his facepaint is supposed to look like a mask that covers his Whooooole face. It’s supposed to look weird, and messy, and kinda ugly? Because 1) it helps them blend in with their environment and 2) in my opinion, the mask is supposed to show how they put on these new, hunting, wild personas and leave their inhibitions and old life behind the paint. it’s why Jack leaves his facepaint on for most of the book, he’s done being some choir boy and is finally ready to be a “ruthless killer”.

this has a bit of a story behind it lol - i originally tried to do this meme back in 2021 or so on scratch (like the coding website) of all places after seeing yuliphoe do it, but never finished it. so when cringetober came around this year, i decided now was my chance to make a stupid version of it as opposed to leaving it unfinished. i did the whole thing in, like, two days haha.
