For anyone not keeping up, Trump held a rally earlier today, told his supporters to storm the Capitol building with him, then went to hide in the White House.

Protestors tore through 4 layers of barricades and are fighting cops to get into the Capitol building. A possible bomb was spotted and the Madison and Cannon buildings have been evacuated while a bomb squad was called in. And just now the Capitol has gone into lockdown.

But also Pence issued a statement that he is not doing anything with the electors and McConnell denounced Republican senators’ efforts to stop counting the electoral votes.

And as I was writing this, the protesters breached the Capitol and Pence was pulled from the Senate chamber.

Second part to previous surprisingly popular (thank you so muuuuuuch!) comic. Sorry it took so long >.<

so a bunch of headcanons because drawing this I had wayy too much time to come up with them ;P

Sokka is the only non bender to ever win a (team) bending championship. As a true older brother he had to rub it in Katara’s face. Just so she knows who is the true certified bending champion in this family ;P

He coincidentally also rubbed it in not-very-precise-at-creating-rules championship organizers faces so for next year tournament they coincidentally made more precise rules. Which pissed Katara off enough so that she postponed her responsibilities and took Sokka’s place (because he may be an idiot older brother but he is HER idiot older brother). Championship organizers quickly learned their lesson, changed back the rules and very nicely asked if maybe the funny-bucket-guy can come back next year.

Because balance is important in sports funtimes also. You can’t have 2 overpowered forces of nature in one team. Especially if one of them is there out of spite. But one (1) compact force of nature + one (1) funny bucket guy + one (1)  serious theater nerd  make a perfect and very entertaining team. Especially with their superior coordination in costume department.

Speaking of Zuko. He totally came up with some cool af but also nerdy name that clearly suggests who is behind the mask (which he doesn’t take off). Just to have the endless supply of entertainment at the expense of nobles trying to find polite way to ask if maybe The Fire Lord decided to take weekend off and indulge in some “lowly commoner unelegantly brutal excuse for entertainment”.

I feel as if i was conned… they baited women into liking Star Wars with Rey being the perfect cinderella heroine.

Then they continued the baiting with having more and more women as main characters in supplemental material too and I loved reading all of it.

Jyn in Rogue One, Leia - Bloodlines, Phasma novel, Vi Moradi in Black Spire… 

They released straight up romance novels (Lost Stars, A Crash of Fate) and coming of age stories about young girls (Leia princess of Alderaan, Most Wanted - Qira, Rebel Rising - Jyn, Ahsoka, Queen’s Shadow series - Padmé).

I don’t even know what to say about the Women of the Galaxy book that came out a few months back…. It was clearly supposed to be an invitation for women, presentation of what Star Wars is to them now and a promise of equality and respect in the future.

And then they took Rey and made the worst caricature out of her. She was supposed to be someone girls and women could emphatise with and live the story through her eyes…. Live out their heroine’s journey. And instead they made her to be a man’s fantasy, stripping her of her agency, desires, personality, and soul.

Watching this movie felt like being reminded of what is my place in this world instead of bringing me hope that I am a valued human being.

I can either be Rey, a daughter of someone special, without desires, sex and romance, because I have to remain a child for the rest of my days.

Or I can be Leia, a mother which will only bring me heartbreak and suffering, I will be made into CGI robot without feelings and the only way to be relieved of the pain is when I marry my twin brother in the afterlife.

Or I can be Rose, I can dare to fight for change, I can take charge and kiss the boy I like, I can work hard for my education, I can attempt to have it all… up until a point. Up until someone notices. And when people notice that woman is doing these things, that she has her own goals and they are withing her reach, it will be made sure she gets a condescending clap on the back, 1 minute of screentime, and she will be pushed to be less than a backround character, so a man who is a friend of the director and only got the role because of a bet on a sportsteam can take the spotlight.

Imagine Darth Vader is having a rough week after the Death Star blows up and (as if his life isn’t wretched enough) Now Obi-wan Kenobi gets to haunt him. Of course no one else can see or hear him. And of course young Obi (because when you’re dead you can be any age you want) takes all kinds of pleasure in being a little shit of a personal poltergeist.

That would be a very good fic, Obi-wan only here to mess with him, never saying if he’s a complete hallucination or not (because Vader doesn’t know anything about Force ghosts, so he just thinks he’s going crazy after finally killing Obi-wan) ruining all his grand declarations by saying “where did you learn to talk like that, you don’t even know what dichotomy means,” making sarcastic comments about the uselessness of the stormtroopers, laughing out loud while watching Vader being dragged by the rest of the imperial military leaders before sighing when Vader Force-chokes them. But the absolute worst for Vader is that Obi-wan always changes his appearance. He sometimes sees the resigned face of Old Ben and the playfulness of dashing young knight Obi-wan, but most of the time it’s tired and worn General Kenobi with shadows under his eyes. It’s never the same one, but Vader understands why after a while.

Obi-wan likes to force him to listen to old stories. He always starts the same way: “Do you remember when…” if it’s General Kenobi who’s talking, it’s followed by a memory of a funny clone wars anecdote that would have made Skywalker laugh. If it’s Master Obi-wan, it’s a silly story about his 12-year-old padawan getting lost somewhere and panicking until his Master finds him. If it’s newly knighted Jedi Obi-wan, it’s a tale about a little blond boy giving headaches to his poor master because of his tendency to cause trouble wherever he goes. 

Vader hates these stories.

He hates seeing Old Ben even more because this Obi-wan doesn’t have any stories to tell. 

Star Wars: A Life Day Carol AU part 2

Count Dooku is the ghost that tells Vader he’ll be visited by the three ghosts of Life Day! Just like Jacob Marley in the original tale, Dooku is very similar to the protagonist and suffered a terrible faith, so he’s now warning Vader and giving him a chance of redeeming himself before he’s too late. I thought since Dooku is a fallen jedi and basically Anakin’s predecessor as palpatine’s apprentice it would make sense for him to have this role!

+ bonus Obi-Wan as the Ghost of Life Days Yet to Come! the AU should take place after ESB, so Obi is dead but is now haunting Vader! since he doesn’t have that much faith in anakin he’s straight up showing him what his future will look like if he doesn’t redeem soon, plus vader is lowkey scared of him after he disappeared so COOL GHOST OBI IT IS
