80s vibes? 10/10
Queer culture and metaphors through vampirism? Also 10/10
Plot and dialogue and overall film construction? B+ You Tried!
honestly this movie was great. It wasn't the best movie ever made but damn was it fun. the vibes were up. the homosexuality was homosexualing. I loved it. It had a sad ending though, they killed those vampires for being gay 😭 Michael killed his boyfriend bc he had internalized homophobia 😭
(tbh that made it even more queer culture tho)
overall this movie slapped fr fr. Would watch again. The costumes sets and vibes and aesthetics were literally on point. hell yeah.
80's, baby. Main blog: @airlocksandaviaries Submit me movie recs and I'll add 'em to the watch/rewatch list! If it's good, great. If it's bad, even better. Disclaimer: I was not alive in the 80s. No, I do not wish I was. I can appreciate a time period and be grateful for the rights I (mostly) have today at the same time. LGBTQIA friendly blog. TERFS fuck off.
