Alison: Kylie!?
Captain: Yes, Alison?
Alison: No, I mean her. Wait, your name is Kylie?
Okay, hear me out:
Funko Pops, but it’s the 16 Personalities avatars.
Does anyone else ship like the love triangle of Draco, Ginny AND Hermione or is this just another of my weird rare ships?? (They all love each other, it’s a fully connected triangle, both the girls love both Draco and each other.)
(Or as I like to call them, the otter, the weasel and the ferret)
Yes!!! Let my father get justice!!! Justice for my parents!!!!!!
I want a fanfic where Sirius realizes that he was very cruel sending Snape to his death (the joke) but also that someone does something similar to him, I don't know how Snape starts to behave badly, Sirius tries to find out what he is up to ( let's remember that he said that Snape knew dark arts, more than the seventh years) this in the end discovers that Snape is a vampire and ends up sucking his blood condemning him to be one of them, or that Snape dies but that he receives justice.
Imagine how differently the fandom would react to Snape’s Worst Memory if his and Lily‘s positions were reversed. Everyone would vilify him if his lips twitched as if to smile when Lily’s bare legs were exposed or if Sev had been the one to say, “Leave her alone,” but had a full convo with Mulciber (our James Potter stand in) instead of using his wand against whoever had strung her upside down in the air. But those are things Lily does and she’s the fandom angel. Is it gender bias? Sexism? The double standards are gross.
(How does it end? Snape goes on to marry “Mulciber“ and they become soul mate goals in the HP fandom?)
I just watched the Ghosts Christmas episode and my God was it touching! My favourite episode by far! I adore it!!
I need to get to libraries!
It’s 2020 and it’s a crime that there is little to no Lunarry fan art
Nevermind, i am writing this now, but prompt still there if people want if?
Posting this here as I won’t write it but Prompt, I guess:
- Dad (Snape) runs an apothecary/potions shop in Hogsmede while Mum (Mcgonagall) still teaches (Lupin is constant dada prof but Dad can’t complain as he doesn’t have kids at Hogwarts and Slughorn and maybe some others who aren’t story important are potions prof), Mum meets Dad for some potion or other reason and bam! Relationship! (Haven’t decided if Dad will be a death eater or not still but up to writer if people use this rubbish) (I JUST WANNA SHARE!)
Okay I’m gonna rant for a second about something I love and that thing I love is Mortal Engines
It absolutely flopped at the box office and I always see people complaining about how the premise (the traction cities) doesn’t make sense, etc. etc. and first off, yeah, the movie doesn’t explain it as well as the books do, that’s fair, but SERIOUSLY? People are willing to suspend belief for all the shit that Marvel and DC do (plus every other superhero movie ever) and enjoy those films, among countless others that have outlandish concepts with little to no explanation, but for some reason people just. Refuse to suspend belief for Mortal Engines long enough to appreciate it.
Because there is so fucking much to appreciate! The world-building is incredible, obviously (even more so in the books). But the themes. Mortal Engines is a fucking commentary on imperialism and colonialism and I don’t understand how people don’t see that?? They don’t see London, a city dominated by a wealthy white elite, literally devouring lower-class cities and not see that? They don’t see London attacking Shan Guo, an alliance of predominantly people of color, and see that? They don’t see Valentine blaming Shan Guo for London not having enough resources and see how it’s a deliberate depiction of racism and scapegoating by a colonial power?
All of these things are visible in the movie. It’s even more apparent in the books (go read the books), but seriously, there is enough of it in the movie to be easily recognizable and it just blows my mind that people fixate so much on how the concept is unrealistic instead of recognizing what an incredible metaphor Reeve built in his tetralogy.
Don’t get me wrong, the movie has plenty of flaws, including lots of changes from the book that I strongly disagree with! But I just wish people would move past their refusal to suspend disbelief long enough to recognize that there’s a lot of really good stuff happening in that film.
The perfect song for the world to end with: : @markiplier’s The last goodbye!
