Have you ever noticed how nice it is outside
can you do one about feeling lost/like you don’t know what your own identity is?
I THINK I'VE LOST MYSELF SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY

i spent the lousy winter forgetting you
and you still haven't disappeared
i see fragments of you in everything i do
i see you in the paintings i make
the poems i write
i hear you in the rain
i watch you move in the weeping willow tree
the birds are mocking me
they sing me a song i never can listen to
the leaves fall down
as my hope does
that i will ever really feel you again
the summer days are burning your last remnants out of my skin
at least i hope so
a little personal response / tribute to "here's the life i've always longed for" by Anna Haifisch. the original means so much to me, and even though it's hard, I feel like every day i'm making more steps toward finally being on the other side of that fence <:)
