I gave a makeover to a sim I made a while ago, and I was pretty surprised to see how much my style has changed now that I’ve been playing more. I am Imtithal from northern Gaza. I live in very difficult conditions because of the war and I struggle to provide basic necessities. I was displaced with my children 17 times in search of a safe place. There is no safe place. We suffer from a shortage of water, food, medicine and milk. This family has multiple accounts to hopefully get as much attention as possible. I will be sharing messages I received from some of their other accounts.

I woke up with a pit in my stomach. My very first thought after hearing the news was what this would mean for the people I love. I thought about my two sisters who are proud members of the LGBTQ+ community. I thought about my parents who were both planning on retiring this year. I thought about the people of color I know and how this will put their safety and wellbeing into even more danger. I thought about myself and others who struggle with reproductive health and rely on hormonal contraceptives to manage pain and KEEP their fertility. This is not me trying to virtue signal. I’m from a small, conservative town, and I’ve seen just how rampant hate and intolerance can be. Keep fighting and remember you matter, regardless of what the hateful bigots will say. Love still - and will always exist in the world. We can and will get through this.
