a little terezi design, i like her lankyness >:D
i'm quite proud of this actually,, i am far from having good art as a professional requirement, so i don't really practice anatomy and things
i really need to practice lighting though... (on realistic bodies lol)
i also never use references (because art is just a hobby for me, so i mainly do it just because), i think in this one you can't tell as much, but using refs would probably make my art much better in some ways already
idk, ill have to contemplate how much effort i want to put into posting here XD

i sleep diagonally so i wake up to a dutch angle view of my ceiling symbolising my descent into madness
I watched Memoir of a Snail yesterday,, i really liked it. It's a very sad and densely dramatic movie, but it's able to encapsulate a very large amount of lessons and themes.
A very notable component is the abundance of death. From the beginning of the story until the end, the dead and dying play an important part of the main character's life. Grace Pudel is a twin, but she spends most of the film extremely, extremely alone.
The climax of the film, where everything is lost, is always an important way to tell what the film is valuing and teaching. In this case, Grace has lost everyone, her parents, her brother, her partner and her best friend. Additionally, she has realised what could make her happy, after all of the tragedy, but has no way to claim the key to her cage.
Grace escapes her cluster of madness thanks to all of the people around her that have loved her. Pinky is there for her when she realises that she caused a big portion of her own misfortune. Her brother, Gilbert, becomes her indefinite companion.
Essentially, Memoir of a Snail is about the curse and cycle of loneliness, the endless downfall of not getting better because you're not okay. It's also about escaping it, and realising the importance of other people. Thirdly, it's about the sadness of being the spectator to your own life, never really living, but existing.
When we cause nothing in the world, not sadness, nor happiness, we can never truly care about anything. At our core, we are proud of what we build. If our magnum opus is a cage, breaking it down will take the most insufferable strife.
