Oh my gods! This is the best idea in the world! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ
Canonically Ohn recreated the world tree's blizzard so the idea that she can create frost is perfect ( ̄ε ̄@) , better yet, she could learn to imitate fog on the path of no return ヽ(・∀・)ノ
Fog capable of disorienting you and distorting magic? Yes please! 人(_ _*)
Furthermore, capsain (what makes chilies and others spicy) is a poison, imagine Hong simply creating spicy fire capable of reaching meters away, it will be quite a shit show ╰(▔∀▔)╯
(Also Hong, Cale, Choi Han, Sui Khan and CJS enjoying extra spicy Korean food while everyone else looks at them like crazy is an image that now lives rent-free in my head \(T∇T)/)
[TCF Masterlist]
This is for the Nightingale!AU that is currently in the works. Ohn and Hong getting new powers. Hong having flammable poison is already canon (see Battle in Ubarr Territory) but I went a different route.
CHETTER TERRITORY - Ohn
"Ohn, what are you reading?"
"Something, from there."
The silver cat used her tail to point at the lower tier of one of the shelves. Every so often, she would make a small noise of interest. Cale and Ohn were currently sitting in the library in Chetter Estate. In a few days time, they would need to go the Eric-hyung's mansion.
"Ohn, some of your fog is coming out."
"I know... Cale-nya! How do they feel?"
Cale tilted his head in questioning.
"Like are they really cold? Or really hot? Or what?"
Perplexed by the question, Cale plunges one of his hand into a dense fog. He says that it feels like fog, colder than room and slightly wet but it's just fog... He watched as the silver cat frowned in concentration before feeling the changes to his hand. The fog seemed to get a degree colder, and slightly denser.
"Why don't we try this out again once we leave Gilbert's estate.
While they were on the road, Cale had Ohn try the fog again. This time, it was much colder than when she first tried. After a few more days of practice, there was a thin layer of frost on his hand when it was lifted from the fog. Ohn's new fog was also very heavy, according to when she tried it on a small rabbit during a hunt. The small creature was visibly struggling against the dense weight and eventually fell unconscious from the cold.
Huh... Neat...
WHEELSMAN TERRITORY - Hong
"ERIC HYUNG WHAT DID YOU FEED HIM?!"
"I DON'T KNOW?!"
"OHN! COVER YOUR BROTHER IN YOUR FROST FOG"
"Mreeeow!"
"Oh wow, you got yourself some powerful creatures."
Cale glared at his hyung, who looked back apologetically. Once Hong emerged from the chilly fog, with damp fur no less, he was bundled up in a towel by the red-haired son of the count and brought into a room in the Wheelsman Estate.
"So... Hong can breathe fire now... And also set himself on fire. As if the poison was not enough.. Haaaaaa."
Dinner time was a-
"With all due respect Eric-hyung, I do not trust you to feed Hong and Ohn, especially after what happened this afternoon."
The lord and lady of the house looked intrigued, then horrified after hearing the kitten has apparently unlocked the ability of fire after Eric fed it something, and has burned a portion of the garden.
So I've realized that my previous post(s) may have not reached a wider audience of TCF/LCF fandom and frankly, those methods may not have been the wisest to gauge how many people would be interested in a BigBang so I have decided to do an Interest Check to see how many people would be interested or would participate in the event as an artist or a writer and at what direction they would want it to go.
Kindly fill this form if you are at all interested.
This form will be closed on June 30 2024
Remember, I may not proceed with organizing the event if enough interest is not shown.

Rosalyn: You're an exception, you're different 😍
I need Cale-nim in Naru form and team leader Sui Khan to act and scam the world together. The master and his top student, two master scammers, the whole ordeal is gonna be so beautifully done.
I feel that if this were to happen, the Henituse family would realize that Cale doesn’t think of himself as part of the family. I believe that even in canon, he had trouble accepting the Henituse family as his own, at least initially (which might be contradicted by Cale’s thoughts during his first encounter with Venion, but let a girl dream (ᵔ.ᵔ)).
The Henituse family could have quite interesting reactions if Hans ever informed them about the diary.
Lily might feel guilty and sad, somehow implying that her Oraboni is not part of the family, and she would try to change her way of thinking by spending more time with him.
Basen might feel guilty, thinking he’s replacing his Hyung-Nim, even though we know it’s not true. He would try to convince Cale to accept the heir position and distance himself, possibly no longer “bothering” him.
Violan, similarly, would feel guilty, being seen as a replacement for Jour. Instead of continuing to distance herself to allow him peaceful mourning time, she would try to spend more time with him to improve their relationship.
And Deruth would feel terrible; from Cale’s perspective, it might seem like he’s replacing Jour and Cale with Violan and Basen. Deruth’s distancing and problem-solving approach didn’t help either. In a brave moment, he would probably try to go to Cale and apologize for everything.
One of the things that has also been in my head for a while is Cale having a journal.
Like- Cale starts a journal when he realizes that he's going to be a lot more involved in the novel's events than intended so to make room for new records he writes things down
When it's songs that he liked as Krs, he'd scrapbook a background and write them down
He'd also add artwork on some pages and has art of people. Like Choi han training, Ron with the lemonaid, Alberu doing whatever- he'd do a bunch of profiles for each person or maybe just have a separate book for that all together-
Cale doesn't really let others see either book, just changing the topic when it comes up. Everyone eventually learns not to ask.
Would be very interesting if there was a connection with Og!Cale and Krs where krs!Cale began to dream about some of og!Cale's memories
After a particularly bad memory, Cale is more closed off towards Deruth and Deruth doesn't know what he did wrong.
Cale obviously puts something about this in his journal
In honor of og!cale, he makes a drawing of his mother and him and doesn't use the 'Henituse' last name, he uses 'Thames'
The thing that Cale has learned about the original Cale is that he's never really felt like he belonged with Violian and Deruth. Always feeling like he was intruding.
So for plot convenience, Cale is called by the crown prince in the middle of writing and leaves the book out in the open.
Hans, who's been assigned to clean Cale's room, See's a book that has no cover or title or anything and opens it out of curiosity.
Hans sees a few drawings of the kids and naturally is excited because 1- Cale can draw really well, and 2- He loves cats.
Then he keeps going through the book, looking through drawings of him, Ron, Choi han, and- the Henituse family with Cale not in the portrait.
Hans is confused. (Deep down, he knows exactly what this implies)
He assumes that the drawing isn't finished (it's already been signed) and closes the book with shakey hands. Maybe the Count doesn't need to know about this-
Except when he comes back next week, the drawing hasn't changed.
Huh.

Just posting my drafts now- honestly I do really like this idea, maybe I'll write something to go along with it later?
I should start making the second parts of things I've already posted lmao-
I don't know if I like it or not, but at least now I can stop dying of frustration every time I read "Alver" ( ̄▽ ̄)
I've had this HC for maybe over 2 years now n I've never heard of anyone talking about it here so:
I've always called Alberu Alberu in my head but when I read the manhua, it changed his name to alver so I made this up in my mind to make sense of that.
Alver: name he uses in public, this is what he goes by when he's doing prince stuff. It's formal and it's probably what his father/brothers refer to him as
Alberu: name he uses almost exclusively when he's in his bark elf from. It's the name his mother gave him at birth. I'd imagine this being the name the people closest to him call him! (Like cale, Tasha, choi Han ect.)
Got this because so many people around me have a name in their traditional language and another English name, so it just got stuck in my mind lol
This needs no explanation ε===(っ≧ω≦)っ

"There is no reason to be recorded in history. Live for peace and happiness instead." - The Henituse Family Motto
Cale and Choi Han's friendship truly moves you to the core, their camaraderie and unconditional loyalty are enviable ♡(。- ω -)
I was thinking a bit about character development.
Like, Cale, Choi Han, and Alberu have a beautiful friendship - and it grew over the course of the entire story.
I'm probably going to talk about later parts of the story, so Imma put the rest behind a divider so you can avoid spoilers
In the beginning, Choi Han was loyal to Cale but .. it was kind of shallow.
Choi Han didn't understand why they had to wear those shitty Arm robes, was shocked when Cale created his alibi by drinking, and so on and so forth.
He followed Cale, but he didn't really know Cale that well yet and that was clear.
Oh, and it was much more of a hierarchical relationship. Cale as his legs, Choi Han as Cale's knight.
This slowly began to change, though I think there were a couple of key turning points.
Cale almost dying after the Battle of the Gorge was one of them.
I think that's when Choi Han truly realized he couldn't trust Cale when it came to his health. Not that he hadn't seen signs before, but Cale always brushed things off and I think this was when Choi Han realized that no, it's really not okay, no matter what Cale says.
After that, we see Choi Han start asking more questions...
And Cale (with a clear flashback to his time as a team leader, where his people desperately wanted to help more) actually answered them.
The relationship started to shift, and become less liege and knight, and more colleagues. (This, btw, came from both of them. Choi Han asking more, and Cale telling more. Somewhat. A little bit.)
They definitely grow closer in other ways - Choi Han telling them about his long life after they found the Dragon Village, for example. (Though Cale already knew it, so you also see just how much Cale is still keeping his secrets).
And then...
We get Choi Han receiving Choi Jung Soo's memories.
That causes the biggest shift yet.
Now they aren't just liege and knight.
Now we have Cale thinking of Choi Han as his best friend's elder (even if Choi Han doesn't feel a need for that).
Also, Choi Han now knows. Not just that Cale is a transmigrator, not just about his life as Kim Rok Soo, not just about the cataclysm (and what happened to the Choi family).
He also knows about the tragedy that has pretty much defined Cale. He may not know about the aftermath, or Cale's time as team leader, but he knows that Cale was devastated after losing everyone.
We also see Choi Han (who got Syrem's ancient powers and now knows what it's like to use them) insist that Cale shouldn't absorb the Blood-drenched Rock power, a potential standoff that ended when Cale found another way and used Embrace instead.
They are no longer liege and obedient knight.
And then came the sealed god's test, where Choi Han gave up quite a lot of his potential lifespan, just to join Cale in one of the worst times of Cale's life.
And he was happy for it.
We see Cale truly overcome with emotion. The trust and friendship between the two of them is just beautiful.
And I truly meant to talk about Alberu as well (him joining them also adding to this) but I only realized when writing this just how much I had to say about Cale and Choi Han, so maybe I'll do that another time.
Anyways.
That still wasn't everything. Because we also had the indignity test...
And while I think the author didn't fully finish everything Choi Han saw because it'll probably come up in part 2 (it hasn't yet, but I think I see the author building up to something. Because so far they've all been too busy to really address a few things, plus apparently there's dragons dealing with time? Anyways, I suspect we'll get more on Cale's childhood, and what Choi Han knows, and some other things, but we'll see. It took almost 300 chapters in part 1 before we got all the amazing scenes with Cale and Choi Han and the sealed god's test and instant so I'm willing to let the author build things up again.)
Oh, sorry. What was I saying? Right.
Even though we don't have the full story, we know that Choi Han knows.
And in one of the side stories, he says this:
He didn’t know at first, but that person’s days of rest that Choi Han saw was more of a period of recovery than days of rest. Of course, the person himself thought that he was playing around, but it did not seem like that to Choi Han at all. That was why his people, who at some point realized the meaning of this rest day, tried their best not to bother his recovery.
And again, in the same side story but referring to a moment later in part 1
Cale was mumbling. “Haaaa. It’d be great to be a slacker.” Choi Han knew the meaning of those words. ‘I want to rest. I need to heal.’ That should be the meaning. However, he now knew what Cale would say after that.
And skipping the specific details, what Choi Han probably meant when he said he knew what Cale would say after that
Cale looked toward the east and calmly commented. “There are too many things to do, so I can’t rest.”
Choi Han understands Cale 1000x more than he did when they started.
And Cale understands Choi Han better, too.
Which is probably a topic for a whole other post, considering Cale initially almost seemed to put Choi Han on a pedestal as the hero and protagonist of the story.
It's true when they say that clothes show a lot about a person…
Choi Han uses a lot of furs and leather because that's what she learned to wear in the forest of darkness and they are perfect for his active lifestyle.
Rosalyn wears a lot of stereotypical wizard clothing because she identifies more with them than royalty even though she still wears a lot of fancy clothes since that's what she's used to.
Ron wears a butler's suit not only because that's his job but because it's the perfect disguise for an assassin, after all, how many daggers and poison can he hide in a suit with lots of pockets?
In short, your clothes say a lot about you, your social status, your habits, your way of life, your economic level, etc. ╮( ̄ω ̄)╭
random thought #5: clothes
I only noticed this after remembering what he went through as Kim Rok Soo but I think Cale actually likes or prefers to wear dark-colored clothes. That, or there's another reason why he wears them.
It's not as obvious in the manhwa because the artist probably wants him to have bright colored clothes (fair) but it's been mentioned a few times in the beginning of the novel.
Cale, who used to enjoy wearing fancy clothes and showing off until just two years ago, was suddenly only wearing dark clothes, and had a completely different demeanor about him.
Chapter 43: Somehow
I'm not completely sure if he likes the color (shade?) but I remembered seeing Kim Rok Soo wearing them behind Cale Henituse in a cover.
[SPOILER for the first part of TCF]
Dark clothes could mean a person wants to look cool and stylish or it could mean a person is boring. And in some ways, the person wearing black is grieving.
I looked it up because I wasn't too sure (and I don't want to offend anyone) but Koreans apparently wear black clothes at funerals.
And knowing his past, it could be that he never stopped grieving even as Cale Henituse.
Like I've mentioned before, and what most readers know about him after reading the novel, there are a lot of funerals back in Korea and he attended some of them.
People die everyday in his world and some of them don't have anyone to grieve for them. It's why he's the one who showed up in Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo's funeral.
One of the things that changed the most was the funeral tradition. The reason was simple.
Too many people had died.
And even more continued to die every day and will die in the future.
- Chapter 719
Him constantly grieving for those he lost could appear in what he's wearing.
Yes, there are moments when he wears them to look intimidating in front of the nobles or his enemies but there was this one scene after the Plaza Terror Incident when he actually wears dark clothes, albeit more luxurious.
“It is a beautiful day today. Probably because we are here to respect the fallen.”
Cale’s red hair fluttered in the wind and created a stark comparison to his black outfit.
- Chapter 48: Somehow
It's a sad thing to think about if this is actually the reason why he wears them.
Another preference that was briefly mentioned before is him liking simple clothes. It could mean several things for him.
Simple clothes could mean he's lazy (which is debatable but probably true). Simple clothes could mean he's a guy with simple tastes (also debatable). Simple clothes could mean he's poor or doesn't have the more luxurious type of clothes. Or simple clothes could mean he's used to wearing them in a world where the apocalypse is real and he needs to move comfortably to survive.
I'm thinking he's so used to getting too injured, he never allows himself to wear something different. Like if you're gonna get cuts all over your body after using an ability, I doubt you'll bother wearing something nice.
It's intriguing how a simple mention of his clothes can mean several things.
I really didn't consider the possibility of something more just judging by what he wears.
From his words, to his actions, and even to his clothes, you can make different opinions and theories about him and that's why I'm having so much fun reading this novel.
