Is Madame a Spinel?
Okay for a minute I genuinely thought that said “Is Madame a spaniel”
I apologise for nothing
“Does everyone in a romcom just take every opportunity to mention love?” “It’s been 15 minutes and we’ve seen two affairs, discussions of sex, cybersex, marriage, divorce, engagement, and dates.”
“How do they keep meeting so often? What do you mean? Like he’s just everywhere she is, what the fuck?” “… it is a romcom, you realize, right?”
"Damn, he's just standing her up? Rude." "Yeah, that seems more like a good way to end a relationship than to start one."
"I genuinely do not know how these two will get together. They hate each other. And for good reason."
"What's with the lying? Why is he lying?"
"I don't think anyone has had a conversation that wasn't about romance, or bookstores."
"No, this is so creepy though. What's wrong with him? Why is she tolerating him? I don't get it."
"Wait so he's manipulating her by playing both sides of this, and when she realizes she's not gonna super duper hate him for being manipulative and creepy and lying to her?!" "Yeah like, this is stalker behavior, what?"
"So far this has been like, you know, not an amazing movie, but not a terrible movie. But now all of a sudden I feel like I've just lost the plot, like they're just in love now? What? Why? How? When? It was supposed to happen on screen but if it did then where the fuck was it?!"
"Doggie"
"Of course, there's nothing more important. If you're meeting a man, you have to put a skirt on, that's how it works."
"No, don't hug him! Fucking slap him in the face!"
"They're gonna kiss, aren't they?" "Oh nooooo" "So they're just immediately making out in the park."
"She hated him for so long, and then just stopped. Because it's a romcom, I guess."
"80% of that I was on board, and then the last 20% I just got lost?" "No, it lost the plot. The movie lost the plot."
"How was that supposed to be romantic? Like, sure, they get together, but like. That isn't romance. That wasn't romance, that's not what romance is."
"Honestly, I could probably write a better romcom than whatever that was. I would struggle at it, but it would actually make sense."

Lapidot Week day 7: “Season 6: What Lapis and Peridot might do next”
I have no idea what these two are going to do next, honestly, and I don’t think they know either.
Daily reminder that not everything is or needs to be about romance.
Romance exhausted aro culture is selfishly wishing the characters stayed friends because the romance was done in such a boring, conventional way that the characters don't even feel unique anymore. Just archetypical grains in stale white bread without an ounce of un-forced romantic chemistry
