Happy Lunar New Year! *~2024 Year of the Earth Dragon~* ππ§§π₯
It certainly is.Β π
Good Omensβ own author getting the publication date wrong and getting a small crew of people along with two in-demand celebrities to make a video celebrating it during a global crisis ten days early is the most Good Omens way to celebrate its anniversary I can possible think ofΒ
GOC2020 Day 3 - Phew! A little late with posting, I decided to combine both prompts of Unexpected and Leather :3
Tried to do a chibi like reaction for Aziraphale haha!
I too was helped out of a rut with drawing due to Good Omens! It really has helped me fight my depression and battle with my self confidence. βΊοΈ
I also have joined a few discords myself, but also struggle with the anxiety and shyness, but have made some new friends because of it!
It warms my heart to see that Good Omens has helped others the same way that it has helped me. π
Thank you to Terry Pratchett and @neil-gaiman for such an inspiring story!
Like many people this year, I watched Good Omens and was instantly smitten and inspired. I had read the book when I was in college, but for some reason it didnβt grab me the way the TV series did. Before watching GO, I was in a creative rut. Iβd finished my first year as a teacher and it was such a demanding and stressful experience that my art was left to languish. I barely drew at all until August of this year.
But watching Good Omens in July made me want to start drawing again. As you can see, I was super productive in August! I cranked out those six pieces in about three weeks, which for me is mind-boggling. This chart isnβt even including all the WIPs Iβve posted, fanart of other fics, coloring of other artistsβ lineart, and my Big Bang pieces.
This story pulled me out of a rut I thought Iβd never get out of. I honestly thought I might never draw again, and was fighting deep depression over it. And on top of my burst of inspiration, I found a miraculous fandom that has been so encouraging and welcoming, full of warm people who are so kind and genuine. Iβve joined multiple Discords, am participating in a Big Bang, and slowly starting to open up to people. I donβt chat on Discord as much as I wish I did, but Iβm working on it! Iβm still shy and anxious at heart.
Anyway, I just want to say thank you to @neil-gaiman and Terry Pratchett for such a beautiful story and I want to thank this fandom for being radically kind. Hereβs to the next year, everyone.

Yes, a few different things. Enamel pins/buttons, stickers and books π especially βart ofβ books.
Favorite fan fiction
There are quite a bit that I enjoy but I also read them only on occasion. I will give a shout out for one I did illustrations for which is Supernova written by Magiwren on AO3, a Good Omens fan fic where Crowley takes in a stray kitten. πββ¬ I really enjoy their storytelling.
Iβll tag @small-flecks π
Thank you for the tag @ajarofpickledtears! π You tagged me in this a while ago but it got lost. The thread was ungodly long so I'm just making a new post π the top post from that thread was not the OP so I don't feel as bad
Favorite piece of clothing you own? I have this asymmetrical crop top that goes with pretty much anything and looks fuckin badass with my shoulder tattoo
Your comfort food? Instant mashed potatoes
Favorite time of year? Favorite season is summer but favorite festive time is Halloween
Favorite song? Uhhhh I don't really have a singular favorite but Big Bad Wolf by In This Moment always gets me goin

Favorite drink? berry smoothies π
Favorite fanfiction? Oh man. There are fics I remember loving that I lost a long time ago and don't remember their names. I do recall one, it was a BBC Sherlock Silence of the Lambs AU. It was novel-worthy, the writer spent a lot of time stylizing it to feel like a Hannibal Lector story. Unfortunately, as far as I know they never released the final chapter, when the last post had ended with Sherlock helping John put it together that he's the cannibal they've been hunting.
Leave comments and reblog instead of like so your favorite writers don't leave you on a cliffhanger that severe π€
