I'm at a phase of my life where I really want to do stuff for my friends, like letters and gifts like I used to do when I was younger, BUT now while I am still young, ((literally going to college young)) I feel like I shouldn’t do those since it would be inappropriate now I and my friends are "too old"

I was wondering if I could possibly be granted an extension on the assignment due Friday. Unfortunately I’m a bit behind as I recently witnessed the deaths of the entire Danish royal family and the Norwegian invasion of Denmark. This has made it somewhat difficult for me to focus on my work.
