Four years, five months

A/N: So… do you remember how I said I was going to try to make this things shorter? Well… I did try, but I just couldn’t. I’ll just finish Law (AND I HOPE THIS TIME IS A SHORTER ONE), and then I’ll be posting the rest of the reactions! I hope you’re enjoying these! 

Katsumi - Win over the Sea. (We’ve got Luffy in this one!)

“So you want me to give up my dream!”

“That’s not it!” You yell and soon enough the rest of the crew are looking at you both from different parts of the Sunny.

“Then what is it?!”, Luffy yells back, not minding in causing a scene in front of everyone.

“It’s that you can get hurt, Luffy!”, you try to explain. “You always make me worry sick and I know how strong you are and how capable you are to do the things you do”, you look at him in the eyes. “And I promised you that I’ll make you the King with everyone else, but sometimes you’re out of control!”

“That’s how I am!”, he fights back. “I don’t understand why you get so worried! I’m not gonna die!”

“What do you mean why?! You’re my captain, Luffy! I worry for my captain. And you also are my lover, for the love of God! What do you expect me to do!”

“The rest of my friends aren’t like you, [Name]! They don’t keep bothering me about how dangerous is something or how scared they were! I wish you just stop being so annoying! If me being your lover makes you act different than the others then I don’t want to be anymore!”,

“What?”

“Luffy…”, someone from the crew mumbles, and you think it is Ussop.

“I don’t want to be your lover anymore! And I don’t want you in this ship anymore!”, you widen your eyes not believing his words.

Luffy’s exasperated expression had always made you laugh, maybe because it had never been directed at you… but now, with his eyes looking straight at your soul and no hesitation in his words, really made you want to cry, a few tears pricking at the corners of your eyes.

“Luffy!”, Nami hisses and Luffy looks at her.

“If [Name] doesn’t like how I do my things, then she can leave”, he looks back at you. A hostile tone on his voice that was enough to shut you up completely if you were about to say something else.

Was he really saying all of this? He’s angry at you because you are worried about his well being? You’ve never had a fight before. At least not this serious. He literally told you- oh. You need to leave. You need to leave this ship, you need to leave your friends. You need to leave your lover… You have to leave now.

Luffy looks slightly aware of his words just now. He opens and closes his mouth a few times, trying to say something, but the words wouldn’t reach his tongue. And now he’s looking at you with pleading eyes. Waiting for you to say something. Hoping for you to say something else so he can fix his mistake.

“Roger that, Captain”, you finally say, nodding your head as you spin around, leading to your quarters to pick up a few things.

“[Na-”, you don’t stop to hear anything else and you walk pass everyone’s eyes.

“Luffy!!! What was that?!!!”, Nami heats him in the head but he can’t stop looking at the direction you just left.

“I don’t know”

Katsumi’s hysterical giggles made your heart fill with love as you playfully pinched his little sides and he wiggled around in your lap; his cheeks were slightly red from laughing, and he was making some funny noises with his nose. You stopped your playful assault and smiled down at him. 

“Mama!”, he giggled, sitting up and cupping your cheeks between his little hands. “Let’s play hide and seek now, yes?!”, he jumped off you and into the sand, his little bare feet leaving little marks.

“Hide and seek? Here?”, you look around. You decided to take Katsumi to the beach to calm down his always energetic body and make the sleep time a bit easier for both of you…

But with him, it was almost impossible. He was his father son after all. Katsumi seemed to get all of Luffy’s ADN, both mentally and physically: black hair, big black eyes, tiny button nose and a massive sunshine smile. He even got a little scar under his left eye and his features resemble Luffy even more. 

“Yes, mommy, here! Listen, you’ll be the marines, yeah? And I’ll be Monkey D. Luffy!”, you couldn’t help but laugh. 

Ironically, Katsumi was the Straw Hat’s biggest fan. Maybe it was your fault, you told him all of the adventures you went through with them, but you didn’t tell him you were part of the crew, and especially, you didn’t tell him Luffy is his father. He’d be too excited and would like to just leave and look for him. And he’s only four years old. You even were a bit scared that the marines would find out you were living in this little island with the child of Monkey D. Luffy. No. Just no. 

“Do I really have to be the marines?”, you close one of you eyes, looking at him unpleased by the idea. He nods eagerly and you look around the beach, it was empty like it usually was, so it could be safe to play around a little bit. “Fine. Just don’t go too far away okay?”, Katsumi yells in excitement and you kiss his forehead before covering your eyes and start to count. He shrieks and you hear his little footsteps fading in the distence. 

Then moment you uncover your eyes you know this was a bad idea. The little demon decided to erase his footprints off the sand. You whined and your heart bumped against your chest. Okay, calm down. You just need to find him.

Easier said than done. “Katsumi!”, you yell, looking behind rocks and everything that could possible hide his tiny body, but you can’t find him. “Okay, Katsumi you win! Come defeat me!”, nothing. 

Worriness starts to take you completely as you run around until you hear a little shriek. “Katsumi!”, you quickly followed the noise that came from about 5 metter away. He’s so fast!

However, the first thing that catches your eye is not Katsumi. Oh no. You can’t believe what you’re looking at. It’s the head of the Sunny! They’re here! At this moment?! 

“Katsu-”, you stop in your tracks and hide behind some rocks as soon as you spotted your child. You breathe heavily and poke your head out of the rocks, looking at the scene. “Dear God…”

“Wah! You are Black Leg Sanji!”, Katsumi is literally vibrating with happines as he looks up at Sanji. 

“Luffy?”, Sanji asks as he looks down at your son, his twirled eyebrow raised up as he scanned Katsumi carefully and you can see his eye widening as soon as Katsumi shows him his sunshine smile. “[N-Name]-chwan?!”, Shit, so Katsumi’s smile looks like yours?

“Do you think I look like Monkey D. Luffy?!”, Katsumi is blushing in the spot and you cant help but feel your chest filling with liquid gold seeing that expression on his face. He’s so happy. But you need to take him out of here now! “Wait, do you know my mommy?”

What? No. No. No!

“Mommy?”, Sanji asks, looking around and you quickly hide again. This is ridiculous! You seriously need to take Katsumi ba-

“Oi!”, you flinch, straightening your back, your cheeks burning bright red hearing that voice behind you. “What are you- 

“… I guess I can let you see a bit of the ship if you-

“No!”, you finally pop up from your hiding place, ignoring the adrenaline rushing through your body and feeling his stare at the back of your neck. “Katsumi! Come over here, now!”

“Mommy!”

“[N-Name]-chwaaaaaaaaan!”, both Sanji and Katsumi start to run to you, but you quickly catch your son, picking him up in your arms and moving elegantly to the side, out of Sanji’s way.

“[Name]?”, you turn around to see him, he was looking at your eyes with a soft expression, not showing any emotion. You felt your heart racing while Katsumi beamed out of this world.

“Mommy! Mommy! It’s- it’s Monkey D. Luffy!”, he was fanboying about his own father, dear God. “Mommy, why do they know your name?”

“I’m sorry if my child brought you any kind of troubles”, you finally speak and you give yourself a few pats in the back because your voice came out low and just sounding normal. “We were having some fun by the beach”, Katsumi looks at you, frowning a little. “But don’t you worry. We’ll be living now”

“[Nam-

“Mama no!”, Katsumi begged. “Just let me- let me talk with Mokey D. Luffy for a few seconds, yes?”, his eyes were a bit teary, maybe because he was looking at his idol or maybe because you told him you were living.

Luffy was looking at you both, he now seemed urged to say something, Sanji was looking at you too and soon enough the rest of the Straw Hat crew were joining the moment. Great.

“Just- just a little, yes?”, Katsumi gasps and smiles widely, nodding his head twice before you leave him back into the sand and he ran toward Luffy, who looked at the boy with wide eyes. So he noticed it.

“H-hello, Monkey D. Luffy-san!”, Katsumi fidgeted with his fingers a little. “M-my mommy has told me a lot of things about you! She said you are going to be the next Pirate King! She also said you are very strong and she- she told me some of the adventures you’ve been through!”, Luffy looks back at you and your cheeks tint red, he smiles his sunshine smile as he crunched down to Katsumi’s level, he gasped.

“She has said that, huh?”, Katsumi nodded. “Did she also tell you that she was part of my crew?”

“Luffy!”, you yell, your blood boiling as you went to grab your son back. “You son of- don’t you come and-

“Wah!”, Katsumi placed his little hands in his cheeks and put on the most excited face you have ever seen. “Is it true?!”, she turns to see you. “Mommy is it true?!”, you glare at Luffy before nodding your head. “My mommy is really strong right?!”, he looked at Luffy again and he smiled warmly at Katsumi. And you saw it, for the Sea, you saw yourself looking at Katsumi the same way, as if this little boy was the center of your universe and Luffy was looking at him exactly like that. 

He accepted his son without problems, he accepted him and already loves him. He takes Katsumi’s hands between his. “She is really strong, I bet she didn’t tell you that I was her boyfriend back then, hmm?”, Katsumi shook his head. “Well I was. I love [Name] so much, but I told her words that really hurt her…”

“You hurt mommy?”, you couldn’t stand that dissapointed look on Katsumi’s face and Luffy seemed like he either.

“I did, but I regret it so much, Katsumi” him saying Katsumi’s name make you shiver a little, it was real. “I told her to leave the ship and I’ve been regreting that for so long”, he’s looking at you now, but he still holds onto Katsumi’s hands, the rest of the crew waiting patiently a few meters away from you, questions wanting to flow out of their mouths. “I’ve been missing her every single day and night after she left, I need her by my side so much and I didn’t notice until she was gone. [Name]. [Name] please forgive me and come back to the ship. To me. Please”

How can he say such words after he hurt you so badly, but he’s saying the truth, he wants you back and he needs you just as much as you need him, but…

“I can’t”, you say, your voice trembling a little. “I have Katsumi now, Luffy. He’s your son, my son. I can’t let the world touch my little baby, I don’t want anyone to hurt-

“I won’t allow it”, you look up at Luffy and he has Katsumi in his arms, Katsumi is stiff like a rock and he looks very surprised. “I won’t allow anyone to put a single finger on Katsumi or you or the rest of my nakamas, [Name]. Come with me, please”, you are at the berge of tears, your soul is screaming for you to accept, your heart is screaming for you to accept. Your dream is screaming for you to accept. “Let’s be free in the sea, [Name]. Come back to all of us. Come back to me and help me become the next Pirate King. You promised”, tears finally run freely down your cheeks and you nod your head, running to him and Katsumi and holding them both in your arms.

“Yes! Yes, please. Yes”

“Shishishi!”, Luffy kisses the top of your head and then Katsumi’s. “We’ve got [Name] back, everyone!”, cheers and cries quickly approached your little family and when you look up to see Katsumi he’s looking at you with wide eyes.

“Mommy, Mokey D. Luffy is my papa?”, you nod, kissing his cheek.

“He is, my little prince and we’ll be going to the sea with the Straw Hats”, Katsumi looks at you and then at Luffy.

“Cool, right, Katsumi?”, the little boy just shrieks excitedly and hugs both of you as he giggled. 

It’s an early adventure for Katsumi and you know everyone will take care of him as much as Luffy and yourself. it’s nice to be back. 

Genshin Impact - Twins Personalities

This is the second time I touch topics related to Genshin Impact, while it’s true Honkai Impact 3rd stays more to my heart than Genshin, I must say in terms of gameplay Genshin is pretty good, I’ve had fun like most players or so I want to believe.

One of the topics I’d like to discuss is the twins personalities which is something that I’ve noticed with time and how people tend to point out a personality related to PV or Update trailers.

P.S: Before starting, this analysis isn’t focused to discuss if Aether is the MC and Lumine is the antagonist.

Both are viewed as MCs since there are two sides to play the game; the game itself gives free will to choose who the MC of the story will be, therefore, I hope this can be followed suit with proper respect.

Analysis are held within a neutral view.

First of all, let’s talk about the intro of the game, when the twins appear for the first time along their fateful meeting with the Goddess.

But before we proceed, there’s something I must highlight. 

Within the Genshin Fandom, I want to believe some parts tend to use EN VA, other part uses JP VA or CN VA; I don’t know in terms of KR VA but I must remark that VA change a lot the perception of both protagonists/antagonists.

(The video is not mine but for example, I use JP VA since I got used to the dynamic with Honkai Impact 3rd; and of course, the CN VA are really good as well, just by looking at Shattered Samsara which is HI3rd’s latest CG Animation, speaks a lot about the VA).

1. Combat

    1.1 Aether’s Combat personality

Aether’s battlestyle relies a lot on his strength and energy, it is needless to say he’s the older among between the two and of course, he displays the protective elder brother figure, backing up his sister when it comes to fights. But, within this, it is to say that in battles, specially against unknown enemies, such display of talent leads to two issues:

Exceeding confidence and talent/weapon mastery

Within the trailer, one of the things many admired from Aether is how he displayed his sword technique, among this, there was a YouTube user that made a comparison between the twin’s swordstyle which relies a lot on how they choose to fight.

Aether and Lumine swordstyle and elemental abilities

In Aether’s case, he is straightforward within his swordstyle attacks, his first pattern can reflect his first goal which is to break defense from the enemy, following suit a horizontal slash, moving forward to more patterns that aim to break the stance of the enemy, following suit to gather momentum and lastly delivering the final strike along traces of elemental attack which depends of player’s choice.

It could be said that Aether’s swordstyle relies a lot in technique and mastery but within this, and focusing with the intro, it grows into overconfidence, but why?

The reason goes to how the intro is explained itself. It gives an insight that Aether and Lumine cover each other’s back to the point they only need themselves to make a good combination against any enemy that comes in front of them, but within this, it also goes to their weakness; such weakness is overconfidence against anything which is why they easily lost to the Unknown Goddess and why both got separated.

   1.2 Lumine’s Combat personality

When it comes to Lumine, it must be said that she’s not focused on displaying her talents with the sword or how she manipulates it compared to Aether in the FIrst Cutscene which leads the players to choose one of the twins; instead, it is displayed that Lumine is more collected in battle, she is very aware of what her brother might have in mind in terms of combat which is why both rely on each others support to face down or strike down enemies.

Making a comparson again with the video provided by a YouTube user, Lumine’s attacks are indeed more refined and elegant, she uses her body in order to gain momentum.

Her first strike is an horizontal slash which of course, in combat scenario would lead to an evental clash against another warrior, followed suit, it goes Aether’s first strike, which is aimed to break the defense of the enemy she might be facing, leading to a spin that gives momentum to the sword wielder, delivering a strike with more strength and eventually, leading to the common release of elemental attack which depends a lot on the choice of the player.

In terms of disadvantage, Lumine’s attack patterns indeed are more refined, which of course, gives openings to the enemies and thus, it could be said that this gives away why both rely and are aware of their own attack patterns to cover each other’s back.

2. Personalities outside combat

It isn’t required to say that both hold a touch of sassy moments within the game, among this, it is visible which of them tends to be more expressive and this of course goes for Lumine.

P.S: I’m not saying Aether is not expressive.

Due to Lumine’s design, it is more visible to see her facial expressions easier or rather, it could be said her expressions are more defined compared to Aether, of course, there are moments on which Aether’s facial expressions give away the best laugh for many players.

But for this, let’s focus on each of the twins.

  2.1 Aether’s personality

Thanks to the constant footage Aether recieves with each update, it is to say that Aether is a rather emotional character, he tends to have a strong calm demanor but nevertheless, he does have a soft heart when it comes to his sister; and this is heavily seen in the Trailer of 1.3 which took part of the Lantern Rite (which of course, was quite a down in terms of what it was expected inside the game)

So far, he displays a lot of sadness and specially grief, but why?

Due to the fact that Aether is the older sibling between them, even if they state they play rock paper scissors to decide certain stuff, Aether carries grief due to the loss of his sister; and of course, when it comes to celebrations, he wishes he could have his sister with him and due to the stream of 1.4 and that battle that will make many players shiver depending of the choice, his personality comes to full terror to see his sister on the other side, fighting with those who strike to destroy the peaceful days of Teyvant.

When it comes to positive aspects or rather, when there are good moments, Aether personality tends to be more calm, nevertheless, he does express happiness if anything’s going well.

  2.2 Lumine’s personality

When it comes to Lumine, most people see her as a savage or rather as the beffiting girl for the role of the antagonist, and I must say, when it comes to people picking her as the traveller, she displays a different vibe.

Since there’s barely any trailer for her since the first game trailer was for PS4 platform along mobile devices. 

Note: The trailer of “We will be reunited” in fact was released for the PS4 port, hence why it’s seen Aether as the MC of the story within versions BUT, this doesn’t mean Lumine isn’t an MC as well. On the contrary, due to the fact the game will be taken to PS4 and Nintendo Switch, it is required to have marketing

The link above is the First Trailer for Nintendo Switch which has actually been delayed due to how they’ll port the game to such device.

Nevertheless, focusing on such short footage, it is to say that Lumine’s personality tends to display hope instead of grievance, does that mean she’s a not thoughtful sister?

No. In fact, this shows that she hasn’t lost hope about finding her elder brother, she is aware her journey will be long filled with hardships but that doesn’t mean she’ll dismiss the marvels of the world she was sent to, in fact, as travellers, both discover and acknowledge the beauty of the world of Teyvant and of course, within said trailer, Lumine’s adventure was just beginning to reach Liyue by having Paimon by her side,

Within the game, Lumine shows to be calm, thoughtful and reflective, giving a warm vibe when it comes to the characters that appear within the gameplay along having a sassy side just like Aether’s dialogues due to them being twins. But, within this, Lumine’s personality strikes more since she doesn’t display what lingers in her heart, of course, this doesn’t mean she’s heartless, instead she decides only to show such emotions is with Paimon unless the events that take place get the best of her which can be seen with Tartaglia’s character story along Dainsleif quest.

She enjoys the marvels within Mondstadt and Liyue but deep down, she misses her brother and wishes to find him. She gives the impression she will do anything to help just like her brother would if there were others in need.

And of course, within the Lantern Rite and Web Event that took place in 1.1; it is to said that Lumine is a hardworker, and of course, just like Paimon, she enjoys eating a lot, and this is due to the choices that are given within the gameplay whcih are protrayed very well for both sides.

3. Personality as antagonist

So far, many have seen Lumine playing the role of the Antagonist but of course, this doesn’t mean she’s the default villain within the story, so far, due to the fact that of how the trailers of each version has displayed her but of course, for those who play Lumine’s side, they see the same when it comes to seeing Aether as the abyss prince.

3.1 Aether Abyss Prince Personality

Aether as the Abyss Prince gives an impression that he changed due to the time he has spent within Teyvant, and of course, it is well known that one of them, depending of the choice, spent 500 years wandering around Teyvant which would explain why their clothing parts shine in a white color, meaning the unselected Twin traveled within Teyvant with the help of Dainsleif until the end of the journey was settled.

It is to said that Aether’s eyes reflect no mercy, he reflects his decision and will to work with the Abyss Order even if it stands against the moralities of the world. His emotions were hardened due to the time he spent in Teyvant without any trace of his missing twin and of course, his stare gives or rather displays power and indefinite strength to fight.

It is to said that the next time the side on which Aether plays the role of the Abyss Prince will be displayed in the new update version related with the continuation of Dainsleif’s quest.

3.2 Lumine’s Abyss Princess Personality

In contrast to Aether, Lumine gives an insight that she dwelled a lot in order to take such decision. That she dwelled until she reached the conclusion she’d take such footsteps even if it meant not seeing her twin brother again. Even if it meant they’d have to fight due to a difference or clash of ideals since the perception of the world will be fractured between them.

Due to her signature and design, it is to say that even if she tries to give a menacing aspect compared to Aether, she looks determinated but she does not give the vibe of being someone that will have no regrets. And this is heavily seen with the trailer “We will be Reuinited”.

In such trailer, it’s visible that Lumine gazes at her brother Aether with longing but of course, she can’t go to his side anymore due to her working and leading the Abyss Order, it shows there’s regret of her decision in contrast to Aether, of course, it would be a matter of time until mIHoYo chooses to give an insight of the Abyss Prince in the futrue.

✧ But Valorant is a different case. It would honestly be the first time you would witness Shu asking you numerous times to play Valorant with him if you were to say no the first time. Remember the pleading Shu who asked Fulgur to play "Getting over it"? Yeah that’s him with you and Valorant if you were to say no initially.

✧ He’s in your private messages, he’s in your live chat when you mention the game and he will ask you if you were to be on call with him while he’s streaming. “Please? Just one stream, pretty please? With a cherry on top? I’ll do the laundry for a week? Cook your favorite food for tonight? Please?” 

✧ Heck he’ll even become physically affectionate with you to get to his goal, and that paired with his knowledge over the fact he’s aware that you’re weak for him whenever he pleads? He knows, he’s well aware how much you love him and he’s taking full advantage of that.

✧ Of course you say yes eventually. You’re weak to the sorcerer. 

✧ He is at your beck and call throughout the entire collab. Does not matter if you’re a total newbie or a seasoned player, he is by your side and will even try to take a bullet meant for you. Buys you a weapon before buying himself one, even if he's broke. And unless you use Sage, he will use her so he can heal you and resurrect you when his ult is up. 

✧ Guides you gently through everything you need to do and explains what you should do and where you should stand. Overall just very encouraging and your biggest hypeman. Your supportive sorcerer boyfriend is here to make sure you’re aware you’re doing great, even if you may not be doing great.

✧ He makes sure that the first Valorant collab he does with you is only you two, that way his whole attention is directed to you and he can thus help you to the best of his capabilities. And if you were to enjoy just spending time with him and want to play again, that’s when he invites other livers! 

✧ The day there’s a 5v5 custom collab and you end up on opposite teams, he will 100% let you kill him. Every. Single. Time. “Shu, at least put up a fight!” and your boyfriend will only chuckle, “I am! But you’re just faster than me, darling.”

✧ He’s not putting up a fight. He’s just whipped and in love. Even when you laugh so gleefully every time you kill him.

✧ The one match where he didn’t go easy on you he would eventually feel bad when he is somehow the first one to spot and kill you, especially because he couldn’t hear your reactions at all. However if he comes across a clip of your reactions and all your reactions are a mix of either. "I hate him," and eventually just resigning to your fate and going: “You know I don’t mind getting killed by Shu. Kinda hot.” Cue the blushing sorcerer and you just laughing because you saw the clip earlier yourself.

Thinking abt immortality and how meticulously you’d have to keep track of all of your shit so some nosy historian didnt spot your old journal or coat or copy of a book and call an infuriating time-based finders keepers

Background: You’re suddenly isekai-ed to Teyvat one day in the place of the traveler. Every time you die, the timeline restarts to a set moment before you died. You’re stuck in an eternal timeloop, and when you clear certain plot points, your “respawn” point moves further up the timeline. You’re a threat to the natural “law” of Teyvat, so monsters are naturally more aggressive to you. Both the Abyss Order and Dainsleif view you as a strange anomaly that needs to be “fixed”. After all, Teyvat won’t allow you to stay dead, and time itself shifts to keep you alive. All the gods and adeptus are well aware of what’s happening; they’re the only ones who know when the timeline restarts.

Dropped in the middle of nowhere, with no clue as to what happened or what to do, your first death is quick and painful when you’re shot full of arrows by a hilichurl archer after you stumble too close to their camp. It is witnessed by one person: Venti, who arrives far too late. You’re bleeding out by the time he finds you, and he knows he cannot save you.

He holds your body in his arms, brushing back your hair. “I’m sorry I was too late,” he says, nothing but a stranger in your first death. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.” His eyes are a thousand miles away; is he really talking to you? You’re too far gone to care.

“This is the only thing I can do for you,” Venti says. He opens his mouth, and sings. His song wraps you in its embrace, easing your pain and calming your fear. Your eyes close… only to reopen with a start, your hands trembling as you search your body for arrow wounds that should be there; you can feel the pain, haunting every step, but there is no blood, no bruises, nothing to show that you had just died. In fact, you woke up where you had first been dropped in Teyvat.

This time, you avoid the hilichurl camp where you had just died, and when you stumble across Venti, his eyes widen. “You should be dead,” he says. 

Something is horribly wrong, and the both of you know it. Still, he does his best to reassure you.

“Maybe the archons love you,” he suggests cheerily, “to give you another chance at life.”

If this is love, then the blessing of the gods is a cruel thing.

Three years, seven months

A/N: Anon… your scenario/reactions became a long ass fics… I hope you don’t mind too much? You can’t blame me, though! It’s such a nice prompt?? Sorry for any grammar mistakes and so and, of course, because is long as fuck.

Words: 1958 (under the cut!!!)

“You were so stupid!”, Ace yells, his factions taken by anger. His cheeks, forehead and neck bright red as he keeps screaming at you. In front of everyone. In front of Shirohige. You feel your own cheeks burning bright red due to the embarrasment and even a little anger aswell.

“Stop calling me that, Ace!”, you try to sound less erritated, letting out a soft sigh befor speaking up again. “It was an accident! I didn’t mean to-”

“You could’ve die! Are you out of your mind?”, he screams, arms flailing around. “You could’ve kill us!”, you’ve never seen him so angry before and you feel your stomach twisting in a very uncomfortable way, and that makes you worry.

Ace has been yelling at you for half an hour now, and some part, deep inside you, knew he has the right to be acting like this. The events from earlier really did mean something for all the crew.

You accidentally almost got killed by an enemy when you tried to protect the ship. You were a bit stupid, to be truth, jumping out to fight even thought you were already severely injured. Everyone was sick worried about you, and your mistake caused a little bit of more troubles than solutions, but when they saw you were alright everything was back to place and there was laughter and soft pats on your back, calling you a suicidal but with gentle eyes and smiles. Even Shirohige forgave you, saying that you were a the bravest daughter and even patting you in the head.

However, when everyone was starting to celebrate yet another victory, Ace came and started to yell at you, grabbing you by the shoulders and shaking you just enough little too hard. 

“I can’t protect you every time you’re in trouble!”, he says. “We can’t protect you!”

“I can protect myself!”, that definitely got into your ego. “I appreciate that everyone worries about me, but I can protect m-”

“No! No you can’t! You’re not strong enough! You shouldn’t be in this ship. I-”

Don't know where else to put this but I just realized that Trish is the only woman in all of Vento Aureo outside of backstory moms.

araki why

Omg totally agreed! I really wish Part 5 had more female characters. Actually when I first read the manga, I thought Narancia was a girl all the way until near the end, and was very confused when they were using "he/him" pronouns out of nowhere LOL.

In general I think Araki's biggest weakness as a writer (especially early on) is how he treats female characters. He's gotten WAYYY better at it over time (especially with Part 8, Yasuho is one of the most complex and interesting characters in the entire series). But in earlier stuff (Parts 1-5) it's a bit rough. Glad he's gotten much better though.

I talked about it a short bit in my Jojo Iceberg series, but Araki initially wanted Giorno to be female, but people he worked with dissuaded him away from that idea. Apparently Araki consistently made jokes about having Giorno being revealed to be a girl the whole time in a "big twist", but again, never did so.

Eventually we got Jolyne, which is great but man. How crazy would it have been if Giorno was actually a female character (especially at the time). Fem Giorno being the child of Dio AND a main character of a Shonen series at the time would have been insanely cool.
