when you were with jean, all your worries disappeared.

“just focus on me,” he tells you, and who are you to complain? it’s always so easy to lose yourself in his arms, thoughts consumed only by his scent, his eyes, the beautiful grunts he lets out as his hips meet yours.

there could be a war right outside your door, but all that matters to you is jean and the rhythm of his heart and hips as he shows you how much he loves you.

jean stops for a moment, still filling you up, and you dig your nails into his shoulders in complaint. his hands reach up to cup your face, forcing you to look him in the eyes, and you feel heat rise to your face as his gaze bores into you.

“can you feel me?” he whispers, reaching one hand down and placing it on your lower stomach, right above where he was buried inside you. “i’m right here, baby.”

his words cause you to clench around him, and you don’t even try to fight the moan that escapes from your lips. “jean...” you whimper, burying your face into the crook of his neck.

“well? do i feel good?”

when you still don’t respond, he grabs your chin, forcing you to look at him yet again. “i’m waiting.”

“feels so good, baby,” you finally moan, grinding your hips on him in an attempt to find some form of relief.

“atta girl,” he chuckles, resuming his pace, and you can practically hear the smirk on his face. “taking me so well, my pretty girl...”

Previously, black women’s work in the United States was largely limited to domestic service and agricultural work, and wartime industries meant new and better-paying opportunities – if they made it through the hiring process, that is.
