I have the problem, that I think my expressions are too plain ... I think I figured out a way to get myself to exaggerate them.

I'm simply drawing different expressions, simplified to a smiley in a circle, just that I draw it 3 times. Each time, I try to make the expression more intense. and then I draw it on a face.

(I'm making the 25-essential-expressions challange)

Like here some examples:

Happy:

Sad (Idk, not too satisfied with that one but whatever):

Pleased (I like this very much. Like that smug character winning another argument and then smiling at you like that and saying, Told you~ ... or just a cute cinnamon roll ...):

Angry:

And confused:

Looks kinda good. If I did that challenge without the three smiley faces, it would show less expression.

Thought I might share that, maybe that helps someone.

You know, I have lately finished my first playthrough through Undertale Yellow... I cried. And since then, I had this idea for a cool drawing in my head but I got sidetracked.

I found more. Holy shit, there are some good drawings I did last year. I'm still wondering how I did them.

currently doodling a lot. I have trouble drawing my own OCs the way I want, so I distract myself by setting a city on fire 😊

These are my two OCs Yishu, Guardian of Creation (former Crea) and Edward, Guardian of Destruction (former Decay).

They are currently walking through Ed's dead forest.

I imagined te scene just like this in my head and just drew it. That was satisfying ... and I suck at backgrounds but for a full illustration this looks pretty good.

(I looooove how Yishu looks. She doesn't give a care in the world walking through a scary forest.)

Been doodling. That's my OC Percy. He's a cute one ... also a poor soul. I made him being hunted by a ghost.

I was sketching a bit and ended up with Cross! (I kind of don't like it entirely, but once drawn on paper there's no undo button 😁, and yeah, I was too lazy to draw hands or even consider coloring it)

Then I was thinking like, hmmm that pose sure seems familiar...

Suddenly I remembered something else I made (and didn't post here yet, whoops):

I know making that animation was PAIN. After I finished, I wanted to move it into the middle of the picture but I was only able to move it frame by frame... After I realized it, it was too late and I tried to save it but in the end that turned out quite well (especially for my first character animation)

Also: It's each time a surprise how much an art style can change. My skellie boys all just got quite taller (and I did the sketch above because I haven't drawn a sans in such a long time, that I was afraid that I unlearned how to. But it's like riding a bike 😁)

And originally I just wanted to sketch something meaningless but it evolved into me drawing my character from that session 😁
