I've been itching to draw Coco in one of her special outfits for so long 🤧 something about the fashion in this manga I swear....

The things I would do for a cocky Eddie Diaz. "Tommy called me competition? Hahaha that's funny, he really believes he'd have a chance if I wanted to play?"

Not "humans are inherently good" or "humans are inherently evil" but a secret third thing (humans are inherently social animals which means that we're very good at cooperating and being compassionate towards those we perceive as being part of our community but we're also very good at being tribal and violent towards those we perceive as threats to our community and everyone defines their community differently)

People straight up do not realize that part of the reason manufacturing is not returning to the United States in massive waves is because we have things like “OSHA” and “environmental laws” and “minimum wages.”

It’s not even just about fair wages. It’s literally about the fact that you can’t dump industrial waste in a river here anymore.

Our cheap goods are so cheap because South American and Asians environments are being destroyed so you can buy a $40 pair of shoes every 3 months.

Cutting granite countertops has lead to a rapid increase in silicosis in the lungs out in California. All the working men and women in my family have died from pulmonary fibrosis. They were carpet layers, Post office workers, floor tilers. Staying safe in manufacturing jobs is annoying but also very, very expensive. Real manufacturing factories belch smoke and dust and grime that causes asthma and birth defects in surrounding communities. Everyone wants their manufacturing jobs back until they realize their kids are living directly under the Asthma Plant.

There will come a time when the workers in these countries rise up and demand better and things will start to even out, but if you want to honestly “do your part,” you gotta stop buying cheap shit for no reason.

Not every event needs to be celebrate with a baseball cap or a coozie or a t shirt or a keychain. Not every wall in the house has to have a picture or a cute phrase on it. The knickknacks are killing people.

rely on someone to meet basic needs and perform basic self-care tasks is okay and morally neutral, but can we talk about how hard it is? how vulnerable it makes you, how dependent it makes you, how tiring it is, how anxiety-producing it is, how it affects your dignity and self-esteem?

how much guilt it brings to constantly ask people to do something for you, especially something basic and presumably "simple." how little privacy you have left when you need someone to assist you with bathing, feeding (putting food from plate to mouth), dressing, moving, brushing your hair and teeth, and other tasks socially considered private and/or very basic.

even if your caretaker(s) are always nice and respectful and patient and do everything like you wish, it may still feel humiliating. and lots of caretakers are not like this, not even close.

and it's hard for you, and it's hard for caretakers, yes, even paid ones, but often our caretakers are not professional and paid workers. often, it's our loved ones. and it creates unique dynamics that are too taboo to discuss because society sees disabled lives, dependent lives as gross, and toxic positivity requires never to show complicated parts of our experiences even in disability rights activism.

depending on someone for surviving and/or daily living is normal, but it's a complicated experience with plenty of nuances, difficulties, problems, and heavy emotions.

Here are three things we see as common sense:

Our abuser has NPD and yet we do NOT believe in narc-abuse/ cluster-b abuse

We did not form due to RAMCOA/ SA and yet we do show our support to them in any way we can and want to educate people

We support all minoritys "even tho" we arent part of them and that includes: looking into their problems and how society/ the system treats them, listening to them, supporting them, defending them in allday situations "even tho they arent in the room"

We are talking about: woman, POCs, indiginous people, physically disabled people, higher support need autistics, woman and girls, every person with a mental illness, survivors of RAMCOA, survivor of the troubled teen industry, woman in other countrys, people who get hate for their religion, "illegal" immigrants and more.

Please do your research and notice the problem, if we forget or ignore then we are part of the problem, especially in those times.

feel like many ignore the fact that allergies are a very real and serious disability. yes even if its "mainstream" or whatever. its a disability. people suffer. people are discriminated against. peoples lives are threatened. include them in your activism.

[if you are not physically disabled or have nothing to add on to the TOPIC of this post, don't say anything. i refuse to have this derailed. make your own post.]
