EMERGENCY: HELP MY BEST FRIEND ESCAPE HIS ABUSIVE MOTHER

So as the title suggests I’ve started raising money to help my best friend get out of his abusive household and his abusive mother. My friend Wes is a 23 year old black college student from the UK who is being sent home to his abusive mother due to COVID-19 and is no longer able to seek refuge at his university dorm and is in need of help, regardless of how big or small. Every donation goes a long way and will help get my friend out of this hell hole. 

He’s basically been abandoned by his siblings due to the abuse and manipulation of his mother and has no one else to turn to. I’ve ultimately decided to create this GoFundMe to help him get away from years of physical, emotional and psychological abuse and want to try and help him get a better life, starting with raising money for him to try and find his own place to escape to and be able to start a life free from his mother. 

Any attempt of reporting the abuse has fallen on deaf ears due to non-believers, many people assuming that men can’t suffer at the hands of an abuser, only to leave him to further torment and punishment. 

I will also be doing a request fundraiser on my side writing blog @lady-of-spades where all donations will get top priority to help raise money for Wes. The more you donate, the longer the piece will be. All you need to do is show me a screenshot that you’ve donated and I will add your request to the list.

 I want to do everything within my power to help him get away from this hell and don’t want to lose him forever to this abuse. So please, even if you can’t donate, please share and spread the word to give more traction to this fundraiser!
