Dark was the first demon he ever encountered. He was possessed, and attacked a close friend, who survived only because Mark was just strong enough to fight the demon down long enough to call an exorcist.
He started training immediately, because he knew that Dark wasn’t done with him.
Tyler is the first to join his team, the other apprentice to Mark’s teacher and quickly one of Mark’s best friends. He’s better with the actual written rites themselves, while Mark is good at the symbols and the methods.
Kathryn’s good at recognizing demon types quickly, having studied them as a hobby until one of her friends summoned one by accident. The boys were passing through town and helped her get rid of it. She joined them after that.
Amy was next, and is fantastic at painting devil’s traps and symbols. She can recognize symbols almost instantly, and is excellent at recognizing traps. That’s how she saved Mark’s life on a case at her college. He asked her out, stumbling over his words and dropping a Bible at her feet in his clumsiness.
Ethan joined last, having read about Mark’s group of exorcists online and shooting him a message. He’s got a lot to learn but picks everything up quickly, never panicking on a case. He usually stays with the families that they’re protecting.
Jack was their first international case. And Mark nearly ruined everything when he was first faced with Anti. He stumbled over the words of the exorcism, and it Tyler hadn’t been there to take over, everyone would’ve been in big trouble. Jack was unhurt by the possession, and agreed to keep an eye on things across the pond, with help from his buddy Robin (who quickly became an exorcist because he thought it was cool).
No one asked Mark what had frightened him so much about Anti. No one needed to.
There was only one thing that terrified him that much. And Anti was an all too familiar being.
j’s other aesthetics.
Mark as an exorcist.
this.
this makes perfect sense.
this is literally my theory and even i kinda doubt it but like
i see similarities
A/N: Well, I absolutely adore Detroit: Become Human, and I’ve been wanting to write a piece about it for a while! So I thought I’d get my feet wet with a quick little drabble about laughing. Enjoy!
The first time it happened, he didn't know what to think. He and Hank were eating at the usual food truck. Well, Hank was eating. Connor was leaning against the table, nodding his head to the distant music eminating from a nearby club. He didn't much care for the lyrics, but the beat was good, strong enough that he could feel it shaking the table and resonating in the soles of his shoes. He would never know why his fingers tapped the table or his head nodded in time, but he didn't mind. Having some things be unexplained was...interesting, if neither positive nor negative. "You lost in your head again, son?" He blinked and looked over at Hank, who was gesturing at him with a half-eaten chicken sandwich. "My apologies Leuitenant-" "You can just call me Hank, y'know." He blinked again, and Hank grinned somewhat awkwardly. "You don't have to. I'm just sayin', it's...y'know, it's weird to only call your friends by their rank. No one does that." "Friends?" "Shit, Con," Hank laughed, then sighed. "I mean...hell, it doesn't make sense to not call you my friend after you've saved my life a few times, right?" He waved the sandwich as if in salute. Without thinking, Connor laughed. It was a genuine, honest laugh, somewhat loud in the quiet night air. As soon as he realized what was happening, the noise cut off abruptly. The look on his face must have been quite a sight, because Hank went from smiling to wide-eyed laughter. "What'd I say?" "I...I don't know?" Connor was surprised to find that he was still smiling. "I don't think it was anything you said, but...you waved that sandwich at me, and it seemed...ridiculous?" He found he was laughing again, and Hank chuckled in return. "Are you kidding me? Damn, how low does a man have to fall for his own fuckin' android to laugh at 'im?" In yet another first, Hank reached over and ruffled his hair. Thinking he might as well follow instinct again, he batted away the hand and shoved Hank's arm slightly. "I'm sure I'm not the first to laugh, L-...ah, Hank." "And now you're making fun of me too! What's the world coming to?" Connor thought he just might have to laugh more often.
Hi, I just wanted to mention that I’m taking prompts to write oneshots, I’ll at least attempt most pairings for Doctor Who (New Who only, I’m sorry!), I’m also open to Janto and Owen/Tosh or Owen/Gwen Torchwood stuff. Okay! Letting you know!
I think this time, I’m just gonna watch the fandom explode and enjoy it, I’m almost never on the outside of the theorizing thing. I’ll chip in to other theories if anyone wants my input, though. :)
Ok people have been so nice about Last Words. I’m so happy. :)
What if we’re getting a glimpse at the proper creation/manifestation of Anti? Like, if Anti really is a tulpa, a parallel personality of Jack’s, then what if the coma is him trying to permanently gain a physical form so he can kill and replace Jack once and for all?
What if Chase and Schneep are tulpas as well, and they’ll die if Jack dies, so they’re trying to stop him for their sake as well as for Jack’s. Tulpas can be companions too, they’re not all evil.
The crew of a crashing spaceship. No one speaks but the captain, who tells them all how well they’ve done, how proud she is, and thanks them for their service. All eyes close together as the screen fades to white.
The last survivor in an empty world lies on his deathbed, an android holding his hand because no one else can. Pictures of his family line the room, and he can’t wait to join them.
A little girl adrift at sea, on the remains of a dingy from a sunken navy ship. It was take your daughter to work day before everything went wrong. She clutches a small bear to her chest and hums to it.
Panning shots of graves, up to the latest funeral. A small gathering around an unmarked grave. Someone remarks that it’s a shame that he should save the entire human race, and yet no one knows his name.
An empty woods. A deer strolls into the scene, and begins to graze on the grass growing from what might once have been a front porch step. Slow, scrolling shots of a house gone back to nature. A note scrawled on yellow paper. “We kept them out as long as we could. I love you.” There are red and black splatters curling the corner of it.

Game Theory: The Secret Life of Markiplier
(I’ve no idea whether Mat and his team actually check tumblr, but I thought I’d put my two cents out there anyway.)
MatPat, I love that you covered this!!! And I think you did a wonderful job connecting, covering, and pulling it all together! I want to welcome you to the very specific subset of theorists that have devoted their time to decoding the YouTube-specific world of the egos; we have a lot of fun here when we’re not on fire! A request before we get into the meat of this post: Cover Antisepticeye? I’d love to hear your take on him! I reccomend you start with Jack’s Sister Location series from October of 2016, and go from there. And hey, if you want to collab with someone who’s been tracking all this stuff for literal years, I’d love to work with you! I’m sure tons of us would. :D
Anyway, to my point: There’s a couple of things I wanted to talk about in your theory. Specifically, I want to address Wilford’s role in the backstory of WKM, the cabin, the timeline, and the composition of Darkiplier as a final character. Also, bonus personal theory at the bottom of the post!
First, The Colonel (whose name we now know is William Barnum) didn’t kidnap Celine. The general concensus is that they had an affair, and when Mark found out, Will was forced to leave, Celine left Mark and Will, and Mark became reclusive. It was only at Damien’s urging that Will even came to the poker night, and he still had a major beef with Mark until he snapped at the end of WKM. Now, this isn’t 100% confirmed, but it’s confirmed that Celine made a decision of her own accord to go with Will (Mark says this in the BTS for WKM).
(...lots of acronyms today.)
Second, that cabin in “Go Back To Sleep” could be a reference to another of Mark’s egos, The Host, formerly The Author. More thoughts on him in a moment.
Third, ADWM is ambiguously placed in the timeline, as there is barely a proper timeline at all. We the theorists tend to believe that ADWM happens sometime after WKM and now WMW (Wilford Motherloving Warfstache).
Fourth, Darkiplier’s composition, for a lack of a better term. Darkiplier is, canonically, according to Mark (IRL Mark), Damien’s spirit using Celine’s power in the DA (Audience)’s body. It’s questionable how much of the house’s influence is present in Darkiplier as a final product, but it’s clear that that’s where his powers come from. So, basically, the spirit that was Damien was corrupted by anger, hatred, and the supernatural into a being bent solely on vengence.
Now back to the Host. Can I also talk about how it’s implied that Actor Mark (your Character Mark, but this is the community name for him) has children? Who are they and where are they? Here’s my personal theory: at least one of those kids is the Host. Where would he get his powers other than from the house? Perhaps his need to be a famous author came from a need to be acknowledged by an absent asshole father. And then maybe let’s take it a step further: how did the Author lose his eyes and become the Host, and how did he join Ego Inc? Maybe a vengeful evil spirit made a deal with him to finally get the attention he craves, and that spirit gets his power on his side?
I’d add my theories to this but frankly...
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
oh fuck.
Just a writer obsessed with her characters, from Supernatural and Sherlock to the Dark Side of Youtube. Your source for the Egos of Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, theories thereon, and random oneshots and short series. I take requests!
