It’s Okay Not to Be Okay
I should have waited for this drama to finish before I started it because waiting each week is going to be torture. But maybe waiting is good. It gives you time to think about all the things it makes you feel.
I’m putting this behind a cut ‘cause it’s spoilery and people can skip it if they haven’t watched the newest episodes.

Jang Uk feels absolute horror when he realises that not only is his mere existence the source of the original torment & suffering of the only woman he’s ever loved and gladly died for,but also that she died for the second time because of him. That the answer to the question Yeong wanted so desperately ask before she ran wild has been him all along.
First his birth had destroyed her life and took away her family and innocence because he was the King’s Star and later she died like a beast because he possessed the ice stone and fell in love with her, making him realise his love has truly become a poison to her.
Jang Uk has known Yeong led a bleak, desolate and tragic life and now he finds out he unwittingly caused it, scarring her forever, so the knowledge wrecks him and kills him inside out all over again, even more than her sword ever could. He wishes he never came back from the dead. In a cruel twist of fate, he turns out to be the source of pain and sorrow to the only woman he only ever wanted to make happy and protect.
The news about his real father shock Uk, anger him and sadden him but it is the realisation of inadvertently destroying his lover’s life and being the reason for Yeong’s brutal death which causes him excruciating agony and anguish and drive him mad.
Even the tears in his eyes during the parentage reveal belong to her as well, he silently weeps for her lost life and brutal death. It reveals that no matter how much he cares about his parentage, he loves Yeong more than anything, more than his pride, himself and life itself.
Ever since finding out the truth about his unwitting role in Yeong’s misery and torment, Jang Uk has been living with a constant guilt, his life a neverending agony, but he never stops loving her, the memory of her being the only thing which has kept him going for so long.
why are there so many posts about asexuals being immune to sirens. people. sirens don’t lure you in with sex (necessarily). they sing about whatever it is that you want most. they could sing about mothman or cinnamon toast crunch and guess what then your asexual pirate is fucking dead
Being really passionate about something isn’t “cringy” or “stupid” or “immature” or “embarrassing” or “ridiculous” or anything else along those lines. Passion is beautiful and it’s brave and no matter what some mean people might imply, caring a lot is never worthy of ridicule or judgment. Don’t ever let sad people with sad lives who are holding themselves to sad standards of edgy nihilism, “maturity” and aloofness get in the way of you doing your thing and enjoying your life!
the latest clip wasn’t a carbon copy of evak or whatever the fuck. sana is at home. the way the space is occupied is something that’s very important to mena muslim culture. shes with her mom and the boys are in the living room. yousef entering when she’s peeling is IMPORTANT because sana doesnt feel alienated just with the girls. there’s also a distance with the expectations she has to fulfill as a muslimah, which was previously highlighted beforehand through her discussion with her mom. yousef showing her how, showing her that he is also unconventional according to tradition but still respecting her space. them having an adorable moment of peace was completely different than what the kitchen scene meant for evak. it’s unique only to them. it was beautiful and meaningful. the whole “you need to bring it towards you” was also a very neat nudge towards addressing sana’s tendencies to distance herself from her feelings and bottle them up. the clip being called “insha'Allah” is also important, since that’s what her mother says to her when sana expresses her belief that her husband will cook in her future home. it expresses uncertainty but possibility, as well. yousana may or may not happen but they are suited for each other. beautifully so.
Me: pft love isn’t real it doesn’t exist
Also Me: Watches pride and prejudice 2005 ending and cries, Cries while reading Jane Eyre, Heart melts when Anne and Gilbert speak, reads every Jane Austen novel and imagines myself as the protagonist, Cries at the ending of the phantom of the opera chanting my angel of music why, Ends up day dreaming about me ending up with someone like Mr. Darcy, Gilbert Blythe, or Henry Tilney, heart melts at the reading of shakespeare, ends up getting sad over bronte sister novels

reblog if you think ‘Wonder Woman Crosses No Man’s Land’ is the most iconic standalone superhero scene in all of 21st century superhero films so far
Can you believe Peter Parker is such a precious little bean that he was immediately adopted by the most badass women in the MCU

would it literally fucking kill yall to like… call people out for their bigotry and insult them that way instead of calling them a psychopath or sociopath or saying they lack empathy and just fucking throwing neurodivergent and mentally ill people under the bus?? like what the fuck yall? the fuck is your problem? calling someone a bigoted asshole somehow isnt enough of an insult to you so youve decided saying they have highly stigmatized mental illness is a worse insult than them being a FUCKING RACIST??? shut the fuck up. mentally ill people are not inherently bad people and should not be used as a fucking insult, certainly not in place of actual fucking bigotry and harm.
