cw video does get a bit loud at the end!
Listening to the new episodes of my podcasts like:
There's a hand on my throat And a child at my feet Inspired by the statue "Latona and her Children"
Listening to Last Forever and honestly Lucy and Justine are the two most dead characters to ever live. 'This day will last forever' 'Nothings gonna happen next'. You're dead. The most dead anyone's ever been
*puts hands on hollywood exec's shoulders, staring unblinking into their eyes* listen to me. you will never get people who hate musicals to like musicals by making your musical less of a musical. if you hide the fact that your film is a musical in the advertising, you're going to get a lot of low ratings from people who hate musicals and went into your movie not expecting a musical and got one anyway. people who hate musicals will hate them no matter how realistic and diegetic and lowkey you try to make it. they will hate musicals even if you completely excise anything complicated, over the top, silly, or even slightly challenging. they will hate musicals even if you cut half the songs. they will hate musicals even if you cast that a-lister who can't sing worth a damn. stop trying to market to people who hate musicals. they're a lost cause. your audience should be people who love musicals. this half-assed middle ground pisses off both camps. just embrace the fact that your movie is a musical. lean into it. don't try and trick musical haters into coming to your film when you could be marketing to the theater kids. better cringe than a coward.
I just don’t feel like people appreciate book phantom enough. Like sorry but I have a fat crush on that no nosed gaunt looking wimp that literally dies after getting a kiss on the cheek and I feel like more people should too
There needs to be more irish (language) representation in media - even just a fáilte sign or something.
Irish was outlawed in ireland by colonists until it gained independence, and people taught their kids english because it was necessary for work or immigration. So Irish has taken a beating - but it's making a comeback!
Either way, if there was irish in song lyrics or short moments that don't need to be translated to understand what's being conveyed, that would be amazing and wonderful and awesome and brilliant and epic.
To any creators who do - go raibh maith agat :)

I'm so genuinely gutted that of the big three Gothic horror stories, Frankenstein; the biggest of them all, is the ONLY ONE who doesn't have this relatively huge Tumblr fanbase. Like, yeah. Don't get me wrong, it exists... but compared to DRACULA??? Or even J&H???? Not even CLOSEEE. And it's because they both got some cool thing Tumblr enjoys, like Dracula Weekly/Re; Dracula, or The Glass Scientists. BUT I GET NOTHING OVER HERE. WHEN WILL IT BE MY TURN.
Alright, I know it’s out there and I need it.
Who has the Great Gatsby Slime Tutorial. Cough it up please and thank you.
(Genuinely I, like a lot of people, Really want to see it, and if I see one more clip of it on my TikTok and can’t watch the full thing I’m going to scream)
it does kindaaa disappoint me as to how little elizabeth's faults are acknowledged by the general public in comparison to darcy's. so much praise of the book (and the more faithful adaptations) paint the story as if darcy was solely both pride and prejudice, and committed an error far greater than elizabeth's, and elizabeth is just some girlboss who roasts him.
i understand darcy is the love interest and with a target audience of women, seeing the steps he takes to change himself, is charming and would be a greater highlight, and that's no problem at all! i, too, am one of the many women swooning sighing dreamily over darcy! but it's such a shame when i see people present the characters one-sidedly when both characters recognizing their faults is so crucial to the story and arguably, its biggest charm
