Paying attention to them will explain the sequence of events that resulted in the broken bird getting lost in the emptiness of space.

Working on the animations for a new cutscene, poor Riki can't catch a break.

Despite being safer on land, Riki still will have to watch out for the dangerous hazards.

The Evil Eye (spiral galaxy NGC 4826) watches over the lost bird as the player begins the second level of the game.

PS: I may consider redrawing or making some touch ups later as it looks a far cry from the amazing image it is based on.

Midway through the second level we find CW Leonis (IRC +10216), the dying star surrounded by a carbon dust cloud that once belonged to its outer layer.

In Flightless Star using gravity creatively is essential to advance through the levels.

But sometimes it unlocks some handy shortcuts, for those that want to challenge themselves and finish the level as fast as possible.

Hello everyone

I’m a newcomer solo game developer and this is the first game I’ve been working for quite some time.

The game is called Flightless Star, and has a pretty unusual gameplay, playing similar to a 2D platformer, but instead of jumping you launch yourself from one planet to the next while dealing with their treacherous gravity fields, avoiding hazards and using your ever increasing movement abilities.

I’ve been working on this game for almost 2 years and there is still a lot to do :'), in the meantime I released a demo to gather feedback and show the idea of the game.
