In ‘Wild Design,’ Vintage Illustrations Expose the Patterns and Shapes Behind All Life on Earth
Now that college students no longer have access to their libraries in the same way we used to and have to do most of our learning at home it would be just terrible if we all knew about https://1lib.eu/ a website which has books on basically every topic ever available for free including college textbooks. Imagine if people were researching their thesis without paying for it.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE AND DEFINITELY DO NOT NOT TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS SITE, THEY MIGHT START DOING THESIS RESEARCH FOR FREE OR JUST START READING BOOKS THEY FOUND ON THERE FOR FUN BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE INTERESTING. This would be terrible :( :(
Reblog to spread the word so that everyone knows to avoid this site!
Hormones are funny sometimes and when “love is in the air” even a big male common toad (Bufo bufo) is a good candidate for a male Mediterranean treefrog (Hyla meridionalis) to get in amplexus. #amphibian #sex #amplexus #breeding #toad #treefrog #hyla #bufo #herp #herping #italy #photography @ilcp_photographers
did you know that teeth actually evolved from scales hence why they have a coating when the rest of our bones don't and why they have nerves in their pulp
bones started out that way too! once upon a time, tiny vertebrates just wore everything on the outside
are people online really promoting the idea that each crystal has a “lifespan” metaphysically and should be replaced after that time? that’s not sustainable and holy shit what kind of idiot really believes that a rock can sit nicely for 300 million years and still keep its ~ magic ~ but also believe that you have to replace your stone after 4-5 months because it’s “not magical anymore”
Do you have any cursed facts about deer? They are my favorite animal.
there’s an entire subset of deer that have sabre fangs instead of antlers!
this is because the very earliest deer on the planet had both antlers AND fangs, but over time deer diverged into two separate lineages that had either antlers OR fangs and they’re both still around today!
biggest betrayal is when it’s supposed to thunderstorm and it doesn’t

So, I’ve been pulled over a few times in my life. Not many, but a few. And I’ve also been in a couple of cars that got pulled over. And let me tell you, if you were actually doing something wrong, the officer doesn’t make any small talk, just straight into “I clocked you doing 70 in a 55.” The only time I’ve ever gotten the “do you know why I pulled you over?” was the time when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and I got let go even though he insisted to the end that I was doing 87 in a 70 (white privilege at work).
“Do you know why I pulled you over?” is a trap. It means there’s a good chance the officer doesn’t actually have a good reason to ticket you, and is trying to get you to waive your 5th Amendment rights and incriminate yourself. If you make a guess, that’s a confession of guilt.
But there’s another trap, that I’ve heard of but haven’t yet experienced. It’s “do you know how fast you were going?” With that one, they’re hoping you’ll say no, because then they can name whatever speed they want – you just said you didn’t know how fast you were going, if you deny the speed they name then you’re lying to them.
