Would it be cool if I did different polls every few days or something guys because I’m having too much fun with these??? :)

A new piece for Maglor and his wifey😇
This time I tried a new paper textures
One of the smiths of Eregion, who survived and settled in Rivendell, managed to preserve the tiny anvil-shaped paperweight from Celebrimbor's workshop. But based on just a few words he heard from his master in the interim when Celebrimbor briefly escaped captivity, he also crafted a figurine of Mr Mouse, which now reposes on the anvil.
Elrond has mad main character energy for a dude that shows up only in the background of other people’s stories. I mean think about it:
Orphaned during the “cruelest of the slayings of Elf by Elf” and raised by the guys that destroyed his people and drove his mother to her death*
Dad spends his time flying a magical star-ship around and slew Ancalagon the Black, the biggest dragon ever to live
Child of unusual blood (part Elf, part Man)
Got to choose his destiny (mortal vs. immortal)
Child of the union of two of the most noteworthy bloodlines of the Noldor and the Sindar (Finwe’s line through Earendil; Thingol’s line through Elwing)
Tragically loses his twin brother to making the opposite choice vis-a-vis destiny
Power of foresight
Great-grandchild of Luthien Tinuviel and Beren
Member of the court of Gil-Galad, last high king of the Noldor in Middle-earth
Builds his own retreat for Elves which becomes one of the last Elven settlements in Middle-earth
Bearer of a ring of power
Marries Celebrian daughter of Galadriel, arguably the only one of Finwe’s grandchildren to survive to the Third Age**
Loses Celebrian when she sails West to preserve her life after being captured by Orcs
Was present at the War of the Last Alliance; likely saw Gil-Galad get killed
And yet he’s never the star of the show, but the playing a supporting role. In some ways he might prefer this, but it is a bit funny I think because in any other story a dude with this backstory would definitely be the main character.
This was really good
TW: for mentions of self-harm
Guys,,, do you think that this act of self-mutilation wasn’t just to free himself from the chains, but also Celebrimbor basically depriving himself (and by extension Sauron) of his ability to create any more rings. As gruesome as it is, perhaps this is his way of taking back his power and ensuring that no matter what, Sauron will never be able to force him to make with his own two hands again.
i'm glad he's alive

Inside The Rings of Power S2, E1 | The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power
(Disclaimer: I know canonically instead of sleeping elves have those long nightly meditations, but I personally prefer that fan-made version where they can do without sleep/food etc. for way longer then mortals, but this would drain their strength and eventually they'd have to rest either way, so it's better for them to actually have at least some sleep every night)
Elrond
The fandom has collectively decided him to be an early bird, which makes sense considering how much work he has all the time. He would totally be awake at 5-6 a.m., he gets straight out of bed immediately into busy mode. A side-effect of that, considering him being a peredhel - he gets drowsy pretty early in the evening, and if by 11 p.m. he isn't in bed his brain would just stop braining a.k.a. ping goes over 99999 (Gil-Galad find this hilarious). He might pull an all-nighter if duty really demands, but he needs some excessive rest afterwards. He has some nightwear in his wardrobes somewhere, however more often that not he would just kick his day-clothes off and climb in bed as is. Also he sleeps like a cat: gets all his limbs tangled in blankets, kicks in his sleep and drools on pillows.
Gil-Galad
The High King loves comfort and luxury in everything, including his sleep. He has a Huge bed with tons of pillows of different sizes and levels of softness, which he arranges around himself so that not a single muscle would be sore in the morning. He falls asleep immediately and takes some time to wake, allowing himself to wallow for a little while. He has several very well-made and expensive night gowns of finest silk and he manages to sleep so still that they never wrinkle. He also absolutely doesn't snore. Ever.
Galadriel
Considering her boiling nature and how much she has traveled, lady Galadriel is the one who could sleep anywhere and in any conditions. When life gets frantic she would catch as much naps as she can: 15 minutes seated on a windowsill before a meeting, half-an-hour in a tree while others are busy with her bidding, an undefined short break on an ottoman in High King's waiting room while he's somewhere doing something - not to mention how she can fall asleep in any levels of noise around her, but to wake at the slightest wrong sound. Sleepwear is for softies, when it comes to Galadriel, just as sore muscles.
Arondir
As much as he gets used to sleep in barracks or on the road, sometimes he just longs for a soft mattress. Doesn't need to be royal-quality, just a bed that's simple but nice. He gets something sore in the morning no matter what position he takes before falling asleep. Arondir tries his best to hold on to a sleeping pattern, especially when he isn't stationed in the Southlands anymore (it's a bit easier when you're a part of a group of soldiers who all follow same rules as a unit), but he has to fight the fact that he's completely and utterly a night owl, resulting in perpetual feeling of not sleeping his full. Secretly he'd be over the moon of someone gifted him a stuffed toy to hold at night.
Celebrimbor
The smith only has two modes of existence: when he is in the middle of a project he could not sleep at all for several days or nap for a little while just to keep going, but when he doesn't have any immediate work that fills all of his mind - he would very much enjoy late-night social gatherings and entertainments to try and force himself to wake anywhere earlier than mid-day. His room is a total mess, which includes the bed that used to be luxurious when first bought but now has mountains of random stuff hoarded upon and beside it (which also makes it difficult to change bedsheets, and he tends to get angry and annoyed at his servants if any of thousands of his papers are moved, even though he himself could forget of them for months). Celebrimbor's sleep is generally erratic, he can wake up in the middle of the night and just get up because he has a new brilliant idea, and just the same if he suddenly gets bored in the middle of doing something - he'd drop everything, lie on the nearest couch, cover his face with a random book and snooze away.
Adorable
One aspect of the House of Feanor I’d like to talk about is the idea that they all really love children. Like Feanor has seven sons more than any other elf we’ve ever heard mentioned. You’re telling me this guy doesn’t really love kids? So I like to believe that all the Feanorians are all inherently great with kids and just melt every time they see a child.
Feanor hates his half brothers for the whole Indis thing but he’s the only one who gets away with hating them. Anyone else tries it and they are hit with the full force of an angry Feanor. Yes he hates them but he will also be tutoring them because how else will he make sure it’s done right and they won’t disgrace Atar? And no he was not just bouncing Arafinwe on his lap what are you talking about?
Curufin is an excellent father which he inherited from his own father. Tyelpe also has six uncles who never tire of spending hours playing with him. They all fight for the title of best uncle and Tyelko very firmly believes it is him.
At family gatherings it is understood that no matter your reservations about Feanor’s side of the family if there is an upset child a Feanorian will know how to deal with it. Feanor himself will rarely object to being handed a crying baby regardless of it’s parentage. Maedhros has been the assigned babysitter for what feels like an eternity and his abilities are regarded as near magic.
This does not go away once they get to Middle Earth. The Feanorians all go to great lengths to provide adequate parental leave in their armies and frequently stop round to check in with any new parents to meet the child. They know all the names of most of their followers children and ask about them regularly.
One of the first things that endeared Caranthir to Haleth was how kind he was with some of her younger relatives. The children of the Haladin all love him because he plays with them sometimes and brings them little sweets. His good with children instincts are activated with any child regardless of race and it helps him build relations with other races more easily.
When Maglor brings Elrond and Elros back Maedhros is a lost cause within a month. He knows this s unhealthy on so many levels but children. They’re so innocent and tiny and he’s going to protect them. They are both referring to them as their children within a week.
Elrond inherits this. Erestor and Glorfindel see his adoption problem and immediately think oh shit our lord is definitely a Feanorian.
Would you consider making any Mirdania icons?
Hi! Absolutely!
I've added them (tumblr sized 128x128) to my @luzriels rings of power icons page here ~ hopefully adding the rest of the cast very soon. Requests are welcomed. (As always, for Sauron and Galadriel icons check out martanis icons)
