"It is not strength that overcomes darkness, but light." - Lord Celebrimbor
I'm sure this has been said a thousand times over, but Charles Edwards has done a phenomenal job playing the Lord of Eregion, and I thought it would be nice to try drawing our beloved elven smith.
Thank you, Sir Charles Edwards, for bringing him to life on the screen.
(Ps: I didn't intend for the first ever drawing I did of Edwards!Celebrimbor to be so bloody...but still)
Tagging the people who may like this: @queenmeriadoc (because I know you'll love anything Celebrimbor) @annahiril (thanks for the support, both on here and on Instagram!)
Additional note: I've got a sweet drawing with Edwards!Brimby planned, so stay tuned!
Babes, it is INSANE to me that I haven't seen anyone else post this theory, since IMO it's super obvious how the showrunners are going to bring Celeborn in.
Do y'all know who breaks the siege of Eregion in Unfinished Tales???? Do you? Have they not twice now in two separate episodes talked about how they need ONE MORE ARMY, just one more.??
Gil-Galad already told Elrond they didn't have a big enough army to fight Mordor and at Eregion. Elrond was counting on Durin to solve this problem and now we know Durin can't come. Twice now they've opened that door like "they need one more army where are they going to get one more army."
Celeborn - that's where. that's who. that's how.
Current fandom seems to be focusing on him like a housewife or something which is bizarre to me. I guess maybe this is an effect of the Peter Jackson movies.
Celeborn and Galadriel are the original battle couple, you guys. Always have been. My guy was leading armies into the Battle of Beleriand even before Galadriel came to Middle Earth. By the third age, he has led armies in more battles than any other elf alive at that point except maybe Glorfindel. Dude commanded armies at almost every single battle from before the sun rose through to Sauron's ultimate defeat in the third age. He's a warrior.
Flame me if I'm wrong I guess, but they basically engineered this entire season to debut him in the last episode as leading an army in to save the day at the moment when all other hope is lost. Which... is exactly what happens in the books.
Granted, I have no idea where he is gonna get an army. Maybe he ended up in the east somehow and brings elves from Lorien or Greenwood.

This was really a reenactment in 1946
My friend thought they were holding hands and honestly I do see that
anyone hurt him we're gonna have a problem
It was a rough season for Elrond.
Melkor: i am more powerful than all the valar combined!
Melkor: (literally scared of his brother’s wife, gets beat up and chained for 300 years, nearly dies to a big spider, screams so loud a canyon is named after him, gets told to fuck off by the sun goddness and the noldorin king’s son, hides away in fear from said son, gets besieged, silmaril is stolen by literally some random guy, is stabbed in the foot by fingolfin, his biggest coolest most epic dragon is also killed by some random guy on a boat, is too scared to fight in the war of wrath, dragged out of angband kicking and screaming, has his literal crown beat into a collar that he wears, thrown into the void and eternally monitore by the same random guy who murdered his dragon)
Elrond staring at the statue of Feanor falling and watching Celebrimbor's life work being destroyed was just really, really devastating.
He wanted so badly to save Celebrimbor. He wanted so badly to preserve him. He loved and cared about Celebrimbor so much (and it's never really explained why), and not only did he lose him, he lost his legacy too.
It's like everything that was Celebrimbor was gone. And Sauron has his fucking hammer.
The Ring of Barahir? Given to Barahir by Finrod and passed on to Aragorn.
The Three Elven Rings? Made from Finrod's dagger to protect the elves.
Finrod himself? Died protecting Beren from Sauron's Werewolves.
In conclusion: Finrod is the force protecting Middle-Earth from Sauron.
(Gracie Abrams will be the faceclaim for my OC, Helena Collins)
Synopsis: Severus Snape is devasted over the death of Lily Potter, the first friend he ever had. He mourns her death, but he overlooks someone very important, someone who has been by his side ever since the disastrous event in their fifth year. Helena Collins is a Ravenclaw through and through. Alongside Lily Evans, she had been one of Snape's closest friends, but he always had Lily in his eye. And it breaks her.

I will miss him being on the show, but he will never be gone from my heart. I genuinely think he was one of the most kindest characters on the show. Beloved 💚
