Lacroixblood - Unhinged & Lacking Blood

Kinda wild that I just noticed how much of my color palettes this year revolve around purple/red combinations

Just a quick recap of some of my fav drawings from this year

STARTLINGLY ACCURATE

Honestly if you think about all the creepy crawlies in the deep ocean merzombies in fantasy oceans seem pretty plausible to me.

Like imagine a land dwelling adventurer got the proper supplies for underwater travel in hopes of finding lost treasures. So they set their sights on an ocean trench, diving deeper than the depths suggested by the marine habitants. 

And as they descend to the point of complete darkness, fully relying on artificial light to guide them, a sudden rush of water whizzes by. Like something swam past them. While trying to catch a glimpse of anything their light catches what looks like a merfolk, instantly causing relief before sinking into unease the longer they look. 

Chunks of flesh bitten out to expose bone, pale skin littered in scars, and an almost entire tail stripped clean of flesh. 

...aaaaaand that’s where I’m ending this idea. Just a fun idea

totk has singlehandedly drawn me back into obsession
