Growing up I always hoped I’d be as cheerful as James, as smart as Remus and as confident as Sirius.

I ended up with the mental health of Regulus Black.

Regulus goes to an art museum and pauses when he sees a painting that looks almost exactly like him. A figure of pale skin and gray eyes, dressed in the clothes of the 1400s, and a bundle of flowers in hand. Looking at someone who is only seen by the dark skin and messy curls that peek within the canvas borders, back turned to the viewer.

"Encore" Again, it is titled.

He jumps when a man approaches him from behind. Dark skin and messy curls.

"Hello," he smiles.

Regulus feels as if he knows the man. Like a click of recognition. He felt as if he knew the most intimate details of this person.

"Hello," he replies. A knowing feeling in his soul.

His eyes drift from the painting to the man.

"We meet again," James says, his smile as bright as the day they met in the flower fields in the 1450s.

Regulus is so dear to me it makes me want to cry. Like yeah, James is the boyfriend of the boyfriends, best person in the world and I totally have a crush on him,

but Regulus. Regulus, Reggie, Reg, my Reggie.

He’s so human, and misunderstood. So much wasted potential and emotions, he makes me feel so much and so seen.
