Im new to tumblr but uh, i thought id post some dst doodles because i bought the game recently and ive been having fun playing it

Currently working on some art using the artstyle i used for the doodles i posted before, so while i do that i thought id post art of these 2 dorks in my actual artstyle

Started listening to the infinights podcast last week and i absolutely adore how dumb the party can be sometimes, they all share 1 braincell and its on life support

I like your art. With your recent post, could you explain the scars a bit? I’m not well-versed in mythology. I can tell that Than’s is probably referring to how the story of Sisyphus cheating death involved him trapping Thanatos in chains, but I have no clue on Hypnos. If Hypnos’ isn’t based on mythology, could I ask about your reasoning for the choice?

First of all, thank you for the question and the kind words!

second, the scars on hypnos are a reference to the myth of heracles (specifically in the illiad), where hera was furious with his antics and wanted to put zeus to sleep while she send storms upon his son when he sailed home

she asked hypnos to help her, which he did, and then she went on to do her bidding. when zeus woke up he knew it was hypnos' work and he was so mad that he beat up the other gods when looking for him

i decided to take my own spin on it and make it so when zeus was searching for hypnos, he send thunder and lightning down to every place on earth from his anger, and one of the lightnings just happened to strike our sleepy god in the back while he was fleeing, resulting in the scar!
