Commission I Finished A Few Weeks Ago And Never Posted 

My DnD characters that I have or will play. I have a character for each class too cause Imma a loser. Here’s a little bio on each of the ones pictured above.

Erys (Wizard Wood Elf)

Erys was a young wizard in training, under the tutelage of her sister Illiya, when tragedy struck. While tampering with dark magic Erys lost control. At the last second her youngest sister, Wysp walked in the room and was struck with a powerful curse, killing her. In a moment of desperation Erys bonded Wysp inside an arcana focus nearby. Illiya revoked Erys’s apprenticeship and tried to shatter the arcana focus that held Wysp but Erys grabbed Wysp and disappeared in the night and hasn’t returned home.

Known facts:

Erys is my snarkiest character but can be somewhat playful.

Wysp is inside Erys’s arcana focus, which the floating orb that follows Erys.

Only people with Wysp’s bloodline are able to hear her.

Erys doesn’t care for animals.

She has a staff that can cast Feather Fall

Rowan (Bard Half Elf)

Rowan’s mother was a high elf that fell in love with a human man. When was Rowan was born, his mother was forbidden to ever she her lover again by her overbearing mother. For years Rowan and his mother came under scutiny from his mother’s family. When his mother died he found letters for his mother from his father hidden away in his grandmother’s room. He demanded answers and she gave him none. So Rowan stole his father’s letters and ran away from his abusive family. He later meets an Aarakocra named Qir (who belongs to a friend of mine).

Known facts

Rowan plays the lute, harp and flute.

He carries a lute that his mother gave him

Has a fear of spiders

Very dramatic

Prefers men

Hates elves

Irana (Ana)- (Cleric Tiefling)

As an infant Irana or Ana as she likes to be called was left on the doorsteps of one of Helm’s Temples where one of the acolytes found her. Ana grew up not knowing the true heritage of her birth. Growing up in a sheltered life Ana is very naïve and sees the good in all people. Ana wants to prove that tieflings are not all evil and that they can ignore their demon heritage.

Known facts:

Ana hates her infernal name Irana and prefers to be called Ana.

She likes the color pink

Knows sign language

Best friend is Winterpelt

Likes romance novels

Can sound like a know it all

Ana is probably one of my most defensive DnD characters.

Her patron is the God Helm, god of protection

Jericho (Warlock Oni)

Jericho was a young soldier who was part of the Royal army. After being on a hunt after a pack of demons Jericho killed the demon leader Yorozu. Later after returning home the demon’s father, an Oni named Akuran, slaughtered his family. Jericho was severely wounded. Akuran decided instead of killing Jericho, he would instead curse Jericho with a life of immortality and transformed into an Oni. For the next 20 years Jericho hunts for Akuran to avenge his wife and son. Jericho suffers from extreme guilt and depression and will occasionally jump into risky and dangerous situations.

Known facts

Has a short temper

He’s 50 years old but Jericho still appears to look like a young man in his late twenties.

Will get severely drunk on three days out of the year. The death of his wife and son and his son and wife’s birthdays. 

Keeps a locket with pictures of his wife and son

Weapon of choice is a glaive

Is in a pact of the blade and his patron is The Fury, goddess of war and madness

Shadow of the Colossus | First Playthrough

So I recently purchased the 2018 remaster of Shadow of the Colossus. I have never played the game and besides a few Game Grumps clips and some concept artwork I know next to nothing about the game. I thought I’d give it a try.

What I do know-

It’s about this guy who is trying to resurrect his girlfriend? sister? totally platonic female friend? by killing enormous beasts.

I have seen Agro’s fate... and frankly that’s a good thing. As someone who has lost a horse it is probably for the best I don’t subject myself to that sort of pain again without warning.

The music is fantastic. I’ve listened to the soundtrack before and I look forward to having context for it now.

I’m notoriously bad a platformers despite my love for them. I’m aware the controls are a bit wonky but if they are anything like The Last Guardian, I should be fine. I really enjoyed that game.

First Colossus

My sword is a laser pointer!

I preceded to press triangle and yell AGRO a bunch of times before finally getting on the horse

Agro is unamused I’m sure.

Best advice I think on the camera controls is to just let the camera do what it wants

Ok so it says to jump, and grab that ledge? No

*2 minutes later* OH... there are plants here to climb

Ooh cut scene

Hard to believe this game was even possible on the PS2. I mean that’s a huge fully rigged and animated character that you can climb and interact with. Crazy!

Running, running, running

Must climb leg hair to glowy tattoo

WOAH AAHH ITS SHAKING ME OFF

and I got stepped on

Ooooh gotcha, stab stab stab

I did it!!

AAHH SMOKE IS CHASING ME

Did the smoke just stab me?!

And I’m dead

Light at the end of the tunnel? Is someone crying?

Wait how did I get back here?! What about Agro?

Uhh, spooky smoke guy

I’m good, and the statue crumbled... progress

Agro is back!

Oh pray to regain health at the glowing statue, cool

Do I smack it with my sword?

Nearly rode Agro off a cliff

Don’t laser pointer sword and drive

The sound design is phenomenal, so cool. 100% suggest you play with headphones

Oh no there is a dive mechanic... is there an underwater colossus? Oh boy

Ok... ok.. not that hard just get close to the edge

I don’t know what I did right that time but that victory may be more satisfying than murdering this giant

Took me far too long to notice the metal platform in the middle

I DID IT! Yeah that jump was the hardest part of this haha

HAHAHA I did a beautiful swan dive from the top in the cut scene

Ace / Aro visibility in Bojack Horseman! It’s great to not only see an ace main character in the show, but an entire ace community filled with people with different ace experiences. I like how the writers included a scene that explained some of the nuances of asexuality / aromanticism, as it helps break the stereotype that no ace would ever want to enter a relationship. One thing I would comment on is that asexual means “not experiencing sexual attraction” over “not interested in sex.” It’s possible to be a sex-positive asexual!
