What starts as Kieran being annoying and dumping snow down the back of Carmine's shirt quickly turns into an all-out war. Lines are crossed. Alliances are made. Friendships are destroyed. It pans out to Carmine, Amarys, and Lacey versus Kieran, Crispin, and Drayton. Pokemon get involved, too. Amarys is the heaviest hitter of her team with Empoleon (penguin, ice beam), Metagross (psychic types throwing giant mounds of snow with their powers) and Reuniclus, but Lacey is not pulling punches with Granbull (ice punch), Primarina (ice beam), and Slowbro (psychic-type, ice beam). Carmine is definitely the weakest link of her team but she makes up for it with unrelenting hateful passion and chipping in where she can with Sinistcha (hospitality) and Scrafty (ice punch).

Offensively Porygon-Z (ice beam) is kind of carrying Kieran's team but he quickly learns their biggest advantage is going to be their defense with Grimmsnarl (screens) and Incineroar (fire-types melting incoming attack). Crispin has the most players overall on the board with Talonflame, Camerupt, Blaziken, Magmortar, and Rotom-Frost. All of Drayton's pokemon are dragons and plants so he's fumbling along with a very disgruntled Sandshrew that was the only thing that would stay in a quick ball.

Carmine, Amarys, and Lacey were winning until Juliana rolled up with Nemona, Arven, Penny, tera-ice Iron Bundle, Chien-Pao, and a steel chair. Besides Juliana, Nemona is hard carrying with Pawmot (ice punch), Goodra (ice beam), and Milotic (ice beam), but Arven is doing work with Cloyster and Penny is carrying her weight with the Glaceon she totally has. Florian is furious when he learns about this later and that nobody even thought to at least video call him so he could watch.

Elio is a member of the Ultra Recon Squad! He's from Alola, and after trying to save a popplio from getting swept away in the tides of a bad storm when he was little, they were both pulled into an ultra wormhole. His family thinks he drowned that day.

In typical faller fashion, Elio lost his memories, but still retained some of his knowledge of pokemon and battling, so he and his partners Primarina and Nagandel were able to join the Ultra Recon Squad despite how young they are. Elio is also Moon's half-brother. Shortly after Elio's presumed death their mom moved to Kanto and married Moon's dad. Moon didn't even know she had a brother because their mom never talked about him, even after the divorce and going back to Alola. He's about five years older than her.

Elio serves as an antagonist, being the strongest battler of the Ultra Recon Squad and working with Lusamine. He doesn't know how awful she truly is, he just trusts that she's helping the Ultra Recon Squad with their Necrozma problem. After the events of SM, he goes back to living with his mom and has a lot of trouble adjusting to a normal life again. He's still close with all of the Ultra Recon Squad, though! He and Gladion have a pretty rocky history, but they're friends as well, with Elio committed to trying and help fix the problems he helped cause for all of Alola.
